I’m a retired massage therapist/firefighter married to a retired firefighter/paramedic and have been rescuing Rhodesian Ridgebacks and wolf dogs for over 20 yrs. I provide daily hikes on the blm land behind my house, and couches or dog beds to lie on after. I love big dogs and promise a happy, tired experience. I’ve worked for veterinarians, and used to breed/show Rhodesian Ridgebacks, then discovered to joys of rescuing adult dogs. I’ve also owned 3 wolf dogs so I’m good with all sorts of behavior issues and the gentle ways to address them. I’d love to offer a great holiday for your dogs while your away on your vacation. I have a 3 story house on 5 unfenced acres with a 50 x 50 fenced area, bordering blm by the Carson River. I have no problem with leash or off leash (after evaluation) and look forward to meeting you. I’ve had 2 bad experiences with dog sitters who promised to walk my dogs daily- and each took my dogs for a walk once in 3 weeks-this won’t happen at my house since I love to get out! If you have multiple dogs, I’m your person! Just a bigger excuse to work out! Rest assured, your active dog will be taken care of, or your older dog will be cherished in my home. I have a dog ramp for cars, a handicap ramp for my house, and have used a dog wheel chair and lifting/walking aids . I can handle most medical situations and don’t have problem with “handicap” dogs. I’ve also lived in farms most of my life and am able to care for all your horse and livestock needs. Also good with snakes/reptiles (I currently have 4) fish and birds. I currently work a few hours a day from home, but my priority everyday is an hour plus hike in the blm behind my house and I love bringing dogs with me. I will feed your dog on it’s normal schedule and take them on daily walks on the blm behind my house. Potty breaks are frequent and furniture is open! I have a dog crate if your dog is used to them, and dog beds everywhere.

About: I’ve had many pups in my life but right now I do not have any pups living in my home. I’ve been enjoying spending time with all my rover friends! My home has a fenced backyard and a common area dog run. I work from home so I will be around to play, give treats and go on walks all day! Dogs are allowed on the furniture and beds here. Working from home means I will be hanging with the pups almost all day every day except for errands. Walks every couple hours and lots of snuggles on the couch! There are no children in the home. I have a fenced yard for running and playing. I have a large kennel/crate inside the house in case your pup needs it and have lots of toys and dog beds for lounging. Stop by for a meet and greet if you would like before booking! I typically only leave the house for an hour or so a day to use the gym down the road. The pups are free to roam my home as if it was their own while I am out. Doors stay locked and no one enters unless the pets are secured so no one darts out the door! Food stays off countertops so there are no human snacks available to be snuck. Poop is scooped after every go!

Animals come first in my house. I have a large gated backyard that your dog will enjoy. I do not crate any dogs unless you ask me to. I supply crates, feeding/water bowls, grooming items and dog toys ready for your dogs stay. I allow pets to sleep in my king size bed, the couch, or any other spot in my home they feel comfortable in.

About: There hasn’t been a time in my life where I haven’t been around a dog. I’ve been with the dogs throughout their walks of life. From puppies to seniors. I have also cared for and loved several other animals. I have experience in caring for rabbits, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, and birds. I also know CPR for dogs. My schedule is open so I have most days completely free! I bring my work with me so I’ll be able to stay with your pets all day. I take pets on exciting walks, and play with them if they are in the mood. I also have a knowledge of trails and other areas for walking for dogs that need deeper exercise. I currently work as an online life coach, which gives me a very flexible schedule and allows me to be available throughout the day for pet care, walks, check-ins, overnight stays, and quality time with your dog. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals so I’m able to give them lots of attention, companionship, and care rather than leaving them alone for long periods. My schedule is very open and flexible, and I’m happy to work with your pet’s routine and needs. I always want pets to feel safe, calm, and comfortable while in my care. I pay close attention to each dog’s personality, energy level, and routine so they can feel as relaxed and at home as possible. I’m very patient and attentive, and I make sure pets have plenty of love, supervision, playtime, water, potty breaks, and a peaceful environment. I also understand how important trust and communication are when someone is caring for your pet, so I always aim to provide updates, photos, and dependable care so owners can feel fully at ease while they’re away.🐶❤️ I’m also a very clean and hygienic person and I always treat people’s homes with respect and care. I genuinely like keeping spaces tidy, and I aim to leave your home just as clean or even cleaner than I found it.
