“Really felt comfortable leaving our old boy Bentley, with Marissa. I was a bit concerned at first because Marissa has a dog and three cats of her own. As an older dog, Bentley prefers to sleep and pretty much, just be left alone, but the animals got along just fine. I could instantly tell at our introduction meeting that Marissa is an animal lover with a very kind heart. While we were away, Marissa took pictures of the dogs interacting and taking walks ... apparently, many walks ... and sending them to me regularly. Upon return, when I picked Bentley up, Marissa said "I thought you said that Bentley was kind of lay-back and just wanted to sleep. About: Growing up my family has always had dogs from seniors to full litters of puppies. Hiking and exercise have always been vital in our dogs care. Dogs who are house trained are free to roam in and out of the house during the day with use of a dog door and fully fenced 6ft fence outside with 0.5 acres to run around. About: My experience comes from taking care of my own dog and caring for my family members dogs. I have experience with high energy and active dogs, dogs with anxiety, and administering medications. I love hanging out with dogs, whether that be playing at the park, practicing tricks or training, or just chilling at home. My schedule is fairly easy going, I have some school and activity drop-offs and pickups throughout the day, but the majority of my day is spent at home. About: We are excited to be back watching dogs after maternity leave. We have always had dogs growing up and quickly got our own once married. About: I've owned animals throughout my life. Currently, I have a lasb/mastiff mix, 3 cats, 4 lizards and a trantula that I share my home with. In the mornings, I get ready and take our dog outside. I always pick up the poop and dispose of it - it's a requirement in our townhome community. I then go in and feed the dog and give her any medications and supplements she may be on. Usually, I leave the house and my fiance takes care of her letting her out and taking a walk during the day. We do have a fenced dog park one block over that we frequently visit to let the pup run around off-leash for a bit and play with any other dogs that may be there and/or throw the ball. In the evening, we always go for a nightly walk before bed. Then our dog has a comfy bed at the foot of our bed and some stairs so she can get on the bed and lay with us. Your dog will get the same experience and care as our sweet girl, along with a playmate so boredom won't be an option. All dogs will be on leash outside of the home and waste will be disposed of properly. There's a fenced dog park near by that will allow your dog to run around off leash with our dog, who is very friendly and patient - an older spayed large dog, gentle as can be. Your dog will get the same care and protection as ours including no access to the cat box or open food they can grab, lots of love and attention, access to clean water always, and extra emphasize on anything you tell me your dog needs. I take our pets health very seriously.
About: I have grown up with a dog my whole life. When I was very young we had a Yorkie named Rex. And for the last 11 years we have had an energetic yellow lab named penny. About: Hey! An animal lover since day 1. I've cared for animals of all shapes and sizes, ranging from geckos to horses. I'm an avid horseback rider and am majoring in animal science, at this point, I don't think anything can scare me and I'm capable of giving pills or shots. I've cared for various pets for over a decade so your fuzzy felines will find fabulous care with me and your cute canines will receive all the cuddles too:) I work part time currently and have very available mornings, my work schedule is fairly flexible and I can fit my time to fit your schedule, especially if you are looking for something permanent. In my own home, my cat takes priority, and I work to keep her as comfortable as possible, (I've gone so far as to stop wearing heavily fragranced lotions since it bothers her!) I maintain structured meal times and try to incorporate lots of activity that the animal enjoys. I try my very best to be a source of solace and comfort to the animal especially when having new people come over, or having owners leave can be quite stressful for our friends.

My background in hiking with dogs has taught me how to build quick trust, understand different energy levels, and create a calm, safe environment—whether we’re out on a walk or curled up at home. “Really felt comfortable leaving our old boy Bentley, with Marissa. I was a bit concerned at first because Marissa has a dog and three cats of her own. As an older dog, Bentley prefers to sleep and pretty much, just be left alone, but the animals got along just fine. I could instantly tell at our introduction meeting that Marissa is an animal lover with a very kind heart. While we were away, Marissa took pictures of the dogs interacting and taking walks ... apparently, many walks ... and sending them to me regularly. Upon return, when I picked Bentley up, Marissa said "I thought you said that Bentley was kind of lay-back and just wanted to sleep. But, he was the first one up waiting to go outside to play and explore". I really appreciate the great job Marissa did with Bentley during our nine-day trip. About: I have taken care of all kinds of animals, everything from turtles to goats, dogs to chickens! I’m flexible and willing to work with you however I can! I am a stay at home mom to 4 little ones. During the school year, 3 of them are gone most of the day. Other than nap time in the afternoon, I’m generally very flexible! I will always take great care of your animal and treat them like my own. I have 4 small children so any pet that would come to my home would have to be really good with kids. I’m happy to do pop in visits at your home if you are unsure about how they will do with kids. Being crate trained for night time is very beneficial!
