About: I grew up in a house with three cats and three dogs, so caring for pets has truly been second nature to me. I got my very first pet when i was 3 years old and proudly helped care for her from the start, learning early on how to be gentle, patient and attentive. Sharing pet duties with my siblings taught me how to juggle different personalities, routines, energy levels - whether that means long walks, playtime, quiet snuggles, or giving shy pets their space. I’m comfortable with both cats and dogs of all temperaments and genuinely love getting to know what makes each pet feel safe and happy. About: I’ve grown up with dogs of all ages and sizes (Cocker Spaniels to Saint Bernards) raising most of them from puppies with my family. We almost always had 3-5 dogs at a time so I am very experienced with handling single or multiple dogs at a time. “Okay, Rachel is AMAZING. Im from Denver, CO and drove to Jackson for a half marathon. I brought my puppy, Rowan, with me to have a fun filled memorable experience with him in Jackson but being that half marathons don't allow dogs to run the course, I needed a pet sitter that would be willing to wake up super early to allow me to drop him off. I truly didn't think anyone would be willing to accommodate that request (understandably) but Rachel was up for it! Not only that, she also dropped me off at the spot where buses were taking runners to Teton Village for the start line. Truly too kind! When I arrived back at Rachel's place to pick up Rowan, he was having so much fun playing with her neighbor's dog in the yard that he completely ignored me lol. It was hard to pull him away. Rowan had a blast and Rachel was so kind to send update pictures while I was running my race. If for whatever reason I'm crazy enough to run that race again, I would absolutely hit up Rachel again! I have knowledge about respectful dog training and I try to make sure that the dogs are as comfortable and relaxed as possible during their walks. I'm currently available for dog walking only on weekdays (from Monday to Thursday). My schedule is flexible during these days, so we can coordinate and find the best time for your pet. I am currently raising and training a 1.5 y/o Australian Shepherd who is a ball of loving energy! I adopted him at 2mo/old and know all about puppy training and now entering the world of teenage dog-hood. We work together caring for children and other pups as he loves anyone and everything! We are an extremely active duo - taking at least one big hike every week and numerous walks throughout the day/week. We like to bike ride together so if your pup likes hiking/running/biking/playing… we would LOVE to hang out:) I’m currently working around 8-5 M-Th so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your pup outside of these hours!
