“Living in a sparsely populated area a bit off the beaten path, we were skeptical of being able to find a local pet sitter willing to stay at our home. We were thrilled to find Mickaelin and so fortunate that she happened to be available on our dates of need. She was very professional and took wonderful care of our three cats and our home while we were away. During an already overwhelming situation, with the need to be far from home for several weeks due to a serious health issue, leaving our kitties and ensuring their care was our biggest stressor. Mickaelin literally lifted that weight from our shoulders, and we were so grateful to have found her, and so were our fur babies; they loved her - even our shy girl warmed right up to her! We would highly recommend Mickaelin.”

“Abby did a wonderful job of looking after my cat, Matisse. Abby gave her lovely company while we were gone, sent lots of pictures and clearly loves animals. I won’t hesitate to use her again next time we are out of town.”

About: Cats aren't just "easier" than dogs—they're complex, perceptive creatures who notice everything, especially when their routine is disrupted. My approach to cat care is rooted in understanding that cats thrive on consistency, respect for their boundaries, and someone who actually pays attention to their subtle communication. I've cared for cats of all personalities over the past 13 years—from the social butterflies who greet you at the door to the shy ones who need days to warm up, and everything in between. What sets me apart is that I don't rush the relationship. I let cats come to me on their terms, and I've learned to read their body language so well that I can tell when a "hiding" cat is stressed versus just observing, or when a change in litter box habits signals something more serious. What I bring to cat care: ✓ Medication administration – pills, liquids, injections, subcutaneous fluids, eye drops, ear medications ✓ Special dietary needs – timed feedings, prescription diets, food puzzles, picky eaters ✓ Litter box expertise – yes, I actually care about litter boxes! Multiple boxes, special substrates, and monitoring for health changes ✓ Senior cat care – arthritis management, kidney disease support, comfort-focused care ✓ Shy or anxious cats – patient, calm approach that respects their need for space ✓ Medical monitoring – recognizing early signs of illness, URI symptoms, behavioral changes that indicate pain ✓ Multi-cat households – managing dynamics, separate feeding schedules, preventing resource guarding ✓ Interactive play sessions – not just food and water; I engage cats with play appropriate to their age and energy ✓ Grooming assistance – brushing long-haired cats, nail trims if your cat tolerates it I treat your home with respect—plants watered, mail collected, and your cat's environment kept exactly as they like it. You'll get regular updates (including photos if your cat cooperates!) so you know they're content and cared for. If you have a cat who needs more than just someone to "dump food and go," let's talk.

About: I've grown up caring for animals and couldn't imagine my life without them. I worked as a kennel attendant at an animal shelter for almost two years. This multifaceted job included caring for animals' basic needs, maintaining sanitary kennels and play yards, administering vaccines, dewormer and medication, as well as exercising the animals and providing enrichment in their daily routine. With my previous experience in the shelter environment and my current part-time work in a pet boarding facility, I am accustomed to handling various breeds, different age groups and temperaments. I am most experienced caring for dogs and cats, but I also have some experience with chickens, cows, goats, rabbits and horses. I hope to meet you and your pets soon! -Mickaelin I'm currently working part-time, which gives me plenty of time to care for your furry family members! I am available after noon most days and have weekends free. *I'm also flexible with pricing!* Your pet's safety is my #1 priority! Before providing any services, I will meet with you and your pet(s) beforehand to address your needs. It is important for me to know if your pet has any behavioral problems (resource guarding, aggression towards other dogs, separation anxiety, etc.) I will also ask for an emergency contact and your pet's vet information.

About: Residential pet and property care is different than sending your animal to a boarding facility or relying on daily check-ins. With boarding, you can't guarantee your pet receives the individual attention they need or maintains their home routine. With quick visits, there's no real security presence or time to notice if something's wrong. As an independent pet and property caretaker, my mission is to provide estate-level care that gives you complete peace of mind—your pets stay comfortable in their own home, and your property is truly looked after, not just checked on. I've been caring for animals since I was 10 years old—yes, 10! What started as a young girl's passion (slight obsession, honestly) turned into 13 years of trusted, professional pet care. I've cared for everything from easy-going family dogs to high-maintenance breeds requiring special medical attention, and for periods ranging from long weekends to month-long stays, including major holidays. What clients tell me sets me apart is my ability to really read animals—I pick up on subtle changes in behavior, body language, and those little cues that tell you something's off before it becomes a problem. I'm not just going through the motions; I genuinely love what I do, and that enthusiasm shows in how I care for your pets and home. Over the years, I've built long-lasting relationships with both pets and their owners because I treat every home like my own and every pet like family. My husband and I work as a team for overnight stays, which means double the attention, playtime, and eyes on your property. I specialize in situations that require extra care and attention: ✓ Special needs and senior pets – blind, deaf, mobility-challenged, or behaviorally complex animals ✓ Complex medication schedules – pills, injections, eye drops, you name it ✓ High-maintenance breeds – Breeds requiring special care, require extensive grooming, intense exercise, and dedicated training. ✓ Extended stays – comfortable caring for your pets for weeks or even months at a time ✓ Holiday care – I don't disappear during Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's when you need help most ✓ Medical monitoring – recognizing early signs of illness, decline, or distress ✓ Multi-pet households – managing different personalities, feeding schedules, and needs ✓ Emergency response – calm under pressure, quick to act if something goes wrong ✓ Anxious or reactive pets – patient, consistent care that helps nervous animals feel secure I maintain your home just as carefully—mail, plants, trash bins, security checks, and that "lived-in" presence that keeps your property safe. You'll receive regular photo and video updates so you can truly relax while you're away. If you're looking for someone who will love and protect your pets (and home) like their own, let's connect. Pet care isn't a side hustle for me—it's my primary focus and passion. My husband and I are entrepreneurs with flexible schedules, which means we can provide the kind of attentive, present care that pets truly need. For overnight stays, we're in your home from evening through the following morning (and throughout the day if needed), so your pets are never alone for extended periods. We don't juggle multiple clients at once or rush between appointments. When we commit to caring for your pets, they have our full attention for the duration of your trip. We're available for extended stays including weekends, holidays, and even month-long commitments. Because we work as a team, your pets benefit from having two consistent caregivers who can coordinate schedules, provide extra play sessions, and ensure someone is always nearby if needed. In Your Home: I've been around animals literally since I was an infant—they've always been my comfort, my joy, and honestly, my obsession. There's something about the presence of animals that just feels like home to me, and that's exactly the energy I bring to your pets and property. As the owner of a young, energetic Miniature Australian Shepherd, I know firsthand what it takes to meet the demands of intelligent, high-energy breeds. I'm devoted to keeping my own dog mentally stimulated, physically tired, and emotionally fulfilled—and I bring that same level of commitment to every pet in my care. Your pets aren't just a job to me; they're loved and treated with the same compassion and attention I give my own. Pet Safety & Care: ✓I follow your routines exactly—feeding times, medication schedules, exercise patterns, and house rules ✓Secure all doors, windows, and gates before letting pets outside (no escape artists on my watch!) ✓Keep toxic plants, foods, and hazards out of reach ✓Monitor pets closely for any changes in behavior, appetite, or health ✓Have your vet information and emergency contacts readily accessible ✓Never introduce your pets to unfamiliar animals or people without permission ✓Provide the mental stimulation and physical activity your pets need to stay happy and healthy Home Security & Cleanliness: ✓Maintain a "lived-in" presence with lights, blinds, and your normal routine ✓Collect mail and packages to avoid signaling an empty home ✓Take trash bins to/from curb on collection days ✓Water plants and maintain your home's appearance ✓Provide regular photo/video updates so you can see everything (and everyone) is doing great ✓I pride myself on attention to detail and cleanliness—you'll come home to a thoroughly cleaned space that exceeds expectations Trust & Respect: I treat your home with the utmost respect—no unauthorized guests ever and I leave your space cleaner than I found it. My husband and I work as a team, which means your pets get double the love and your home gets double the oversight. The best part? When you walk through that door after your trip, your pets will be more giddy than ever to see you—well-exercised, well-loved, and so happy you're home. And you can relax knowing everything was handled with care.
