I worked at a doggy daycare for over a year, have been pet and house sitting for neighbors and friends for over 3 years, actively volunteer at a cat shelter since 2017, and have been walking dogs since I was a kid. I have 5 pets (one dog, three cats, and one snake) of my own, making me well versed in caring for a variety of animals. I work a sporadically scheduled contracted job 1 to 3 Saturdays a month that I'm very committed to. However, these jobs have never gotten in the way of my care towards my own animals and the animals I have pet sat for. I don't pet sit in my own home, as I can't be sure that my animals will 100% get along with a client's animal. I have slept over in guest rooms of the houses I have spent over night in, as well as having only been in the house with the pets during the day, all per the client's request. Whatever one's house looks like or whatever features one's house may have, I am always sure to respect boundaries, clean up after myself, and make sure the house is left looking better than when I arrived.

About: I grew up with animals my entire life (dogs, cats, horses), and I finally got my own dog this year, a loving and friendly golden retriever. I still love to petsit for others. About: I’ve taken care of my own dog for years. As well as house sat for a friend who owns a farm, caring for her numerous animals. Hi! I currently work at 9 AM to 5 PM job and can make it home around 12 PM to 1 PM for a lunch break to take the dog to the bathroom and/or a walk. I am typically have more availability on Fridays, as I work remotely periodically. This would make it so the pet will go 4 hours between potty breaks Monday-Thursday if a potty break midday is needed. I have full availability on the weekends. I have a beautiful fenced in backyard with plenty of space for a dog to run around safely. We board dogs often and have puppy proofed it for safety.

About: I love them all...big ones, little ones, young ones, old ones, sweet ones and even cranky ones! I've been a veterinarian for over 30 years so I guess you could say that pets are my life. Due to my training, I can deal with any condition your pet may have...administering meds, giving injections, and dealing with handicapped pets. I'm able to watch for any issues that might arise in your pet while you're away and get them addressed as needed so that you have %100 confidence that your pet (s) will be in excellent hands while you're away. I love to walk so your baby will get lots of exercise and, of course, they will all get lots of play and cuddles. I'm more or less retired (I work one day a week) so am able to do twice daily visits or walks as needed. For pets boarding with me, I'm home all day with them giving them lots of attention and love. Pets in our home will be treated like my own babies. They will get plenty of attention and twice daily walks (if wanted) as we live right next to the Boise greenbelt. They will be fed and medicated exactly as instructed and get plenty of snuggles and play time!
About: I grew up with animals my entire life (dogs, cats, horses), and I finally got my own dog this year, a loving and friendly golden retriever. I still love to petsit for others. I have done pet sitting through rover for 6+ years and I have experience with horses through my childhood. I cleaned a horse barn every weekend during highschool and learned how to handle them. I am a Geologist with the Forest Service in Idaho City, where I also live. I work full time from 8-4:30pm in the office. The summer months I have very little capacity for dogsitting because of field work and I am involved with working wildfires. With pets in my home I am happy to give them free reign of the place! Please let me know if your dog has a habit of chewing items or counter surfing. When staying at a client's home, I am attentive to the pets, can provide walks and play-time, and I make sure to leave the house cleaner than I find it. Because I have grown up with pets and played an active part in taking care of them, I am in-tune to animals behavior.

About: I believe being able to ensure pets get proper exercise, care, and daily enrichment is vital to physical and mental health of your pet. Making sure your pet(s) keep the comfortability of their schedules while giving them their own vacation is my goal! Having my own pets throughout my life has lead me to dive into researching animal behavior, proper pet care, and the needs of all different pets. I want to make sure your pet(s) gets everything they need and feel safe while in my care. I can provide support with your behavioral training and I am vigilant to the non-verbal ques that your pet uses to express its needs. My love and experience caretaking and learning about a variety of different animals ensures I can provide the best care for your pets. I’ve volunteered at shelters, pet sat for families and friends, and even pursued a degree within wildlife. I’ve cared for cats, dogs, birds, rats, snakes, lizards, bunnies, puppies, and elderly animals as well. Luckily I have a work schedule that allows me to spend more time with your pet than the typical 9-5 would! Having the opportunity to help care for your pet is such a fulfilling experience. If you have any questions, concerns, or special needs please let me know! I have a very flexible work schedule both late starts and early off’s as well as 1.5-2.5 hour lunch breaks. This gives me tons of flexibility. Each pet has different needs for their care/environment. If you’re doing crate training for pet I can ensure that’s continued, or any other training. I live near the foothills so we can go on long walks with plenty of new smells to enjoy. I love giving pets enrichment activities, or a puzzle to solve! My goal is to create long lasting relationships with the pets and their owners to create trust.
