I currently have a 3 year old Maine Coon cat named Boston! I currently work mornings, typically 7-3 M-F. My hours vary depending on the week and what I am busy with at work. I work shifts on weekends and nights when needed I have a yard for your pet to run around in and play. I do have 3 other pets in my home that are properly vaccinated and friendly!

About: Since I was little I’ve had three next door neighbors rely on me to love on their kitties while they travel. While I love all animals, I’ve always been partial to cats. My favorite part about cats is how wildly their personalities vary and I would love the opportunity to learn what makes your kitty unique!
“Maya did an amazing job with our anxious pup. We unexpectedly had new neighbors move in above us the day before our trip. Maya did a great job at communicating how peanut was doing with the adjustment during the visits and provided lots of great photos as well.”

About: I’ve had cats my whole life and have always enjoyed caring for them. My cats have some medical needs so I’m open to discussing anything like that. I have also been around dogs my whole life, including watching neighbors and family member’s pups. I typically work irregular hours but will update my availability when I know!! I have weekends off and after 4:30 for sure every week day I have a fenced in yard with lots of room to roam and shade to cool off. If I’m coming to your home depending on it you have a cat or dog, I love to play and give animals lots of pets. But I will also follow the given instructions with food, water, and litter box if necessary.

“Jess was such a great choice to watch my Sammy boy. We were gone from 5/22-6/1 and had no idea it was getting VERY warm here in Iowa. We did not yet have our window air conditioners in. At one point, it got to 85 in our house. I was able to have a neighbor install the window ac’s. Jess was concerned for Sam and offered to stop by to check on him (on a day that wasn’t originally on the calendar). I truly appreciate her doing that! We were in Florida and that helped eased my mind!! We’re already set up to have her take care of him later this summer. Thanks again Jess!”

About: I've been surrounded and caring for animals big and small since I was 6. I hold a degree in Western Equestrian Sciences; have taken multiple courses in prevet sciences; and am currently a pet mom to one high maintenance pooch and 3 crazy cats. About: I found my first love for dogs when I was about 5, and begged my mom to rescue Burrito Bob. I then grew up always having a dog around. My junior year of high school I decided to buy my very own goldendoodle, Toby James. Toby is the best dog ever, and more so my child than my dog! I have 2 goldendoodle’s of my own, and they have learned very quickly what it’s like to be spoiled (we love drive through, the word pup-cup, and car rides! Of course we also love going on walks and runs! I have grown up living with 5 dogs at once of all different breeds! I’ve also recently learned how to groom my own doodles! Dogs hold a special place in my heart, and I’d love to care for your dogs like my own! I have 2 pups of my own that I treat like children! I enjoy taking my dogs for long walks and taking care of them! I will walk and let dogs out during the days! I have a 70 and 30 pound doodle that I walk at the same time! She was also a great walker and was willing to just hang out with him outside of his kennel and play with his toys! We will definitely be going back to Jessica again!”

About: I’ve pet sat since middle school with varying animals including dogs, cats, and even rabbits. I’m a big animal person hoping to ensure that your furry companions are in the hands of someone efficient and careing. I also work part time at a cat cafe in valley junction so I work with cats on a regular basis. With general pet care I am always trying to be as available as I can. Im only unavailable once a week (typically Thursday and Fridays, but it differs). I am always very flexible. I have a fenced in yard and a dog at home that is fairly well behaved around other dogs. I do not have a crate at my home and would prefer to care for your pet in your home.
“It was so great to have Rachael look after my pup while I was out of town. She was so sweet with the things she said about him and sent the best pics that had me giggling while I was missing him :)”

About: I've pet/house sat for multiple people in the past. Animals include dogs, cats, fish, and reptiles. I like to have a meet and greet before ever staying with your pets alone. If you have any special diets or quirks make sure we discuss them in advance! I don't mind staying for a few hours to watch your animals or just drop in, whatever is needed! I have a nighttime job so, your animals will need to be able to be alone at night a few days of the week! I will discuss meal plan, how often you walk them/let them outside, and if they have meds with you prior to caring for your animals.

“She was soo helpful and is so diligent!! Today I was so stuck and I totally wrote my whole calendar day down wrong. She was super flexible and was able to accommodate. I won’t do that often but I’m so grateful”

About: I have been the main caretaker of any animal I’ve ever had, some because I was the one who begged for it. And others because I just love animals so much that their care is only half the fun. I have experience with animals in all stages of life, from puppies to seniors. My puppy experience ranges from being the one who nursing a parvo puppy back to excellent health, she is now 3 years old and thriving. I also have a senior dog, who is such a joy but I think he forgets he has arthritis with all of his puppy antics. I also have a lot experience with teaching many tricks so don’t be surprised if your animal learns something new every time they see me! I work from home and have only two courses a day, so I have a lot of time on my hands to do a good pet care routine. My babies (my cats and hermit crabs) are on a routine or rather I am. We do feedings in the morning and have an hour of down time for everyone to “stretch” their legs before I go to class. I’m away for 3 hours before I’m back and during that time I can walk a dog if one is staying. And then I work from home so pretty much I’m at the animals beck and call whenever they need anything. I am in an apartment which lessens the risk of anything happening to your pet on my watch! Also with living in an apartment by campus we can always go for walks and meet some college students wanting some animal love!

About: I have had pets my entire adult life, and I know how important it is to you to find the right person to take care of them while you’re away. I am committed to taking care of your pets like they’re my own, and I’m excited to provide lots of love and fun! I work from home, and my husband is a full time dad, so we’d be happy to spend time with your pets, go for walks as a family, and see to their every need! We have pet gates throughout the home, extra kennels if needed, and a fenced in yard. We are also comfortable giving medication orally or via injection if needed.
About: I grew up with dogs and now have 2 cats and 1 dog of my own. Our cats are both American Shorthair and our dog is a golden retriever! I’m currently a stay at home mom and we love watching some furry friends during our days! We can let them out multiple times, go on walks, and play. Our big fenced in backyard makes for a fun time! I have two very friendly cats who warm up quickly to other animals or hide until they feel comfortable! We also have a golden retriever who loves other animals and loves to play! I live in house with a fenced in backyard!
About: Hi, welcome! My name is Grace and I would be honored to care for your beloved pet while you are away! I’ve had plenty of experience with dogs, cats, and bunnies. Most notably, I’ve been a consistent caretaker for two energetic black labs for the past 8 years. I’ve also cared for fish, turtles, hamsters, guinea pigs, and a bearded dragon. If you think I’d be a good fit for your furry (or scaly!) family please reach out! I do not currently have any commitments! I’m new to the area and excited to meet some fur friends here. My new job will start September 14, 2026, but until then I’m wide open! Once I start my position, I’ll be working 8 hour days in Urbandale (if you’re close to that area I am more than willing to spend my lunch breaks with your pet). Once I’m back from work for the day I am ready to play! Coming home to an animal friend is one of the best feelings, and I want to give your pet all the love possible! I feel very comfortable being away from home. I love getting to help families keep their animal loved ones in a place they are familiar with. Whether you have a fenced in yard or no yard at all, I always get play time in every day. I love watching pets’ personalities blossom in their own space.
About: Animals have always had my heart whether they have fur, feathers, or floppy ears, I love them like they’re my own! 🐾 From playful puppies to wise old whiskers, I’ve been caring for animals since I was a kid, and I’ve had the joy of helping many senior pets live comfortably and happily in their golden years. I truly believe pets are family, and I understand how important it is for them to stay in their own cozy space, surrounded by familiar smells, toys, and routines. That’s why I provide the kind of loving care and attention you’d give them yourself so you can relax knowing your furry (or not-so-furry!) family members are safe, happy, and well looked after while you’re away. With over 12 years of experience in pet and house sitting (both through Rover and independently), I’ve spent lots of time with older pups and pets who need daily medication and a little extra TLC. I know how reassuring it is to have someone trustworthy in your home and by your pet’s side. 🐶💬 Just a heads-up: while I’m great at snuggles, meds, and belly rubs, I’m not a certified dog trainer so I will not be offering training services. If you have a training routine you’d like to continue while gone please let me know so I can accommodate. For everyone’s comfort and peace of mind, please let me know if there are any security cameras inside the home before a sit begins. I completely understand the need for home security, but just as a heads-up it’s illegal in most states to place cameras in private areas like bathrooms or bedrooms, even if it’s your own home. I respect your space and privacy and kindly ask for the same in return. Thank you so much for understanding! 🐾🏡 (I’m very committed to animal welfare and have been an animal rights activist for years. Copy of background check available upon request for in home stays.) Pet care is a big part of my routine, and I always aim for clear, honest communication up front to make sure I’m the right fit before booking this helps avoid any surprises or conflicts later on. I also offer full-time care and am happy to take time off work to focus completely on your pet, especially if they’re extra cuddly or need that close, consistent companionship (Velcro pups are my specialty 🐶💕). I always aim to create a safe, calm space where your dog can feel at ease. As a new face in their home, I take things slow, stay relaxed, and tune into their energy letting them set the pace. I understand how confusing or stressful it can be when their favorite human isn’t around, so my goal is to build trust and help them feel secure, cared for, and comfortable while you’re away. 🐾💛

Jessica’s dog was in a kennel when we arrived to make drop off less stressful for both dogs. We felt completely as ease knowing our dog was in such great hands for the week and will definitely be booking with Meagan again!”
