“Shawna and her partner, Hannah, did an amazing job watching my dogs! They drove to pick them up/drop them off and kept them at their house over a long weekend. I have a senior rescue dog who can be skeptical of new people, but he warmed right up to Shawna and Hannah. He enjoyed all the cuddles, special toys, and looking out their big windows! I also have an 8 month old puppy who made herself right at home. Shawna and Hannah were super understanding of all my pups’ quirks and made them feel so loved with walks, treats, and lots of opportunities for cuddles. About: I've taken care of dogs of various ages for about 2 years at the client's home. I've done baths, taken them on walks, outside to go potty, of course feeding and giving all the treats! I work in Cedar Rapids so I'm only able to do mid day check ins in that area. If you aren't in the Cedar Rapids area I can do morning and evening/night check ins. I am able to stay overnight at your home as well if needed. I provide care at the client's home. I am able to come for a drop in visit and hang out with your pet for a short time or I'm able to come and stay for the night, weekend, or longer if needed.

She was able to care for Benito, my Golden Retriever for a long day while I went to visit family just outside of town. She sent me updates regularly and Benito had a great time. She was super mindful of the cold weather and made sure Benito was safe from too extreme temperatures and still made sure to get some exercise and play time in. “My 9 year old, handicapped, German Shepard, little lady had an awesome time with Aryl, her pack and her family! We've already booked another stay. 🥰 This stay took place over overnight for 7 consecutive nights while I was at work. This was the first time not to allow her to stay at home alone. After a few rough nights alone, getting stuck a couple times, and then not able to make it through the night without apotty break, I knew I needed to find someone. Because Miss Black has lost use of her hind legs and is now in a wheelchair her care is a little more complex. Aryl administered her medication, assisted as needed going potty, and kept her cleaned up and smelling fresh every morning. This has been such a relief knowing she is in good hands. It gave me such peace of mind while I was working. Aryl didn't have any problems reading her communication signs. Even when she had other Rover dogs over, she was able to give Miss Black everything she needed. I believe Aryl's past experiences have given her the insight she needed to provide great care. Instead of wondering what I was going to walk into after a long shift, I was greeted by my smiling pup right inside the door.”

About: I lost my dog last year and miss taking care of him, now that I have free time on my hands I'm looking to help take care of other dogs like I would my own. I treat pets like family and have experience with administering medications if needed and am willing to learn of any specific needs your pet has to take care of them like you would! I'm currently free most days and stay at home since my school schedule is very light for the next few months and have flexibility in it. I currently don't have any pets so there is no concern for socializing or introducing them. In addition I live in an apartment with a large grassy area where dogs can walk on and will use a leash while doing so to make sure your pet is safe.

There is a new dog park just a block from where I reside. My building is a secure building that is locked with cameras everywhere in the hallways. There are long hallways in my building with very few residents and lots of room to run inside when weather outside is not good. I am able to leave as often as needed to walk dogs. Also, I am able to care for your fur babies in their own home or at my residence.

About: I am a former owner of 2 furbabies - Nala and Kara. Nala is a German Shepherd and Kara is an Alaskan Husky. I have cared from them since they were 8 weeks. Kara is in doggie heaven after losing a intense and short battle with a blood deficiency disorder. My parents look after Nala. I am able to walk, dogsit, train and feed dogs medicine of needed. About: I’ve been around and taken care of dogs and cats my whole life. I believe pets deserve a high quality of care. I have adopted dogs and cats in the past. At the moment I only have cats and miss having a doggy friend to walk and give rubs. About: With over 20 years of experience caring for dogs, cats, and even small pets like mice, rats, hamsters, and fish, I bring a lifetime of knowledge and passion to pet care. I’m a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) with 7 years of veterinary experience and 1 year working in a pet resort, so I’m skilled at safely handling pets of all temperaments — from nervous pups to the spiciest of cats (I have one of my own!). I’m also experienced with administering medications and providing calm, compassionate care to ensure every pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for. I’m currently not working, so my schedule is completely open. I have plenty of time to provide your pets with all the attention, care, and love they need. With my veterinary technician background, safety and trust are always my top priorities. While in your home, I provide a calm, secure environment where pets feel comfortable and cared for. I’m skilled in reading body language, handling nervous or fractious pets, and administering medications when needed. Every pet in my care is treated like family, with plenty of patience, compassion, and attention to their unique needs.

About: Dogs have been part of my life since childhood, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. I’ve owned and cared for both small and large breeds, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of personalities, energy levels, and care needs. I spent years volunteering with All Breed Rescue & Training in Colorado, where I gained experience supporting rescued dogs. For a year, I traveled across the country providing in-home pet care through TrustedHousesitters, staying with pets in exchange for room and board. This allowed me to care for dogs in many different homes, routines, and regions—learning how important consistency, communication, and trust are when owners are away. Today, I share my home with my own small dog, so I understand firsthand how much your pet means to you. Whether your dog needs playtime, structured walks, companionship, or just a calm and reliable presence, I treat every animal like they’re part of my family. I currently work remotely from home and have a flexible schedule. I am available for drop in visits and walks in the middle of the day and check in on your baby.
