About: Senior care experience! I've adopted multiple dogs at 10+ yrs old from the local pounds and made sure they had the best senior care experience possible. I currently have 2 dogs, both spayed and absolutely love other dogs. A Corgi (Ruby) who is 9 and a Maltipoo (Joplin) who will be 2 this year. The poo was adopted from a kill shelter in TX (and one before her from the same area as well). We've lost 4 dogs in 2 yrs due to old age, 3 within 6 months. Hard pill to swallow but I love them all and would LOVE to love yours too! I am a stay-at-home dog mom. I have all the time in the world to take care of your babies! Believe me when I say they will come home all tuckered out :) I have a fenced in back yard and 2 VERY friendly dogs to keep your pups very much entertained! In your home (if a dog sitter in home is required) you can expect all of their daily schedules to be fulfilled.

About: I’ve been pet-sitting for years, mostly with large dogs and a few cats ranging through all ages, though I’m new to using Rover! I love connecting with animals and tend to make friends with every pet I meet. I also have a mini poodle of my own, so I understand how important it is to know your pet is in caring hands. Pet-sitting is something I genuinely enjoy, and I treat every animal like family. I am on summer break home from college. So my days are almost completely free. I work Thursday mornings at a restaurant, but that’s it. My days are already filled with driving from LeClaire all the way to Davenport visiting friends and family or running errands. They are brothers from the same liter that we rescued when they were babies. They are now 3. They are both very loving and curious boys. My husband and I have both grown up with animals and have had them our whole lives. Our kids have been around them since birth. “HIRE CHRIS. I won the lottery with him. It was my first time using Rover. I have a special needs rabbit who needed a caretaker after a rabbit boarding service was no longer available. I messaged several sitters and Chris was the first to respond. He is responsive and communicative. What I absolutely love about Chris, among many things, is that he asks questions. Not in a "what do I do" kind of way. Rather, "how do I do this to make sure it's done correctly". My special needs rabbit is on a specialized diet. I left Chris with instructions, which he followed to a tee, but he also sent a photo of the food. (My rabbit is feed very soft, watered down pellets and Critical Care due to recent dental surgery). I'm happy that he did because my rabbit can't chew on pellets. He sent lots of photos of Moo, too. Chris was also flexible with the initial meet 'n' greet appointment and visiting my landlord's office to pick up my front door key (which has to be loaned out). One of the reasons I chose Chris was his close proximity to my apartment. I will 5000% hire Chris again for my rabbit sitting needs. He took great care of my very special needs rabbit and Moo liked him too! I recommend him for your pet sitting needs, including small mammals!”

About: I grew up on a farm. I was part of FFA (future farmers of America) and 4H growing up. I’ve cared for animals and their well being all my life. I currently work on a two week rotation. Meaning I’ll be in town for two weeks at a time, and out of town for two weeks. I’ll have weekdays from 8am to 5pm and weekends after 4pm. I have majority of the day to relax and exercise your puppies. I have a fenced in backyard and plenty of room for your pups to enjoy outside or if they are lazy butts; got a couch for them to relax on. I am from the Quad city area originally but lived in Houston for 30 years, I recently moved back about seven years ago. I have a nice little house in Bettendorf with a great yard including a vinyl privacy fence. I will give your pet a loving fun, playful experience, and I’m very happy to send you video and pictures so you can see how your pet does while they’re with me . I usually let them out in the morning and feed the dogs I watch separately so there’s no fighting , same thing at about 4 pm in between they get pets , sleep, and run around in my yard ( weather permitting ) I am home every day of the week. I am gone for a few hours on Wednesday and Friday. Always attentive to pets in my care they will not be left outside for long periods of time , I often go and sit on my patio while the dogs are out , I also have a doggy door that fits up to large dogs .

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and lived with them for my entire life. I’m very used to dogs of all breeds and sizes. I love dogs of all sizes and ages and have reliable transportation. I’m open to house- sitting, dog walking, and drop- in visits. I do have a part- time job but I’m never too busy to fit it a walk or pop by and check on your pup. I’m looking forward to meeting a ton of adorable new canine friends so feel free to message me whenever! I work part time but I’m never too busy to check in with your pup! I am available any day after noon and twice a week all day! I usually work on weekends! I have experience with crated dogs and non-crated dogs and have lifelong experience with safely while walking and playing outside of a fenced in yard. I know how nerve wracking it can be to leave your dog with a stranger but I promise they are in good hands!

“This was our first experience with the Rover app and Shannon taking care of Maggie. It could not have been a better experience! Shannon was great with communication and very timely. We had boarding arrangements elsewhere and they canceled at the last minute. Shannon was quick to reply to my inquiry and helped me navigate the Rover app. The "Meet & Greet" went very well with Maggie meeting Shannon's personal K-9 companions. Right from the start, we were very comfortable and confident that Shannon would take great care of Maggie. She was very personable and kept us informed during our travels with pics/updates. When arriving to pick her up, Maggie was happy & seemingly didn't care that we had returned. It was very obvious that Maggie was well cared for and SPOILED!
