“This was our first experience with the Rover app and Shannon taking care of Maggie. It could not have been a better experience! Shannon was great with communication and very timely. We had boarding arrangements elsewhere and they canceled at the last minute. Shannon was quick to reply to my inquiry and helped me navigate the Rover app. The "Meet & Greet" went very well with Maggie meeting Shannon's personal K-9 companions. Right from the start, we were very comfortable and confident that Shannon would take great care of Maggie. She was very personable and kept us informed during our travels with pics/updates. About: My household has had dogs for the past 12 years. I have watched dogs for other families while they are away several times over the past 10 years. I work very well with energetic and stubborn breeds. Frequents walks. Almost always home. I am a stay at home mom of older children. I am almost always home, and will ensure a fun and yet peaceful environment. Thank you for your consideration. I do have a fenced in yard that is smaller, and live very close to a dog park if desired. I can seperate our dog on a lower level if there is ever any issues, or space is need.
About: Senior care experience! I've adopted multiple dogs at 10+ yrs old from the local pounds and made sure they had the best senior care experience possible. I currently have 2 dogs, both spayed and absolutely love other dogs. A Corgi (Ruby) who is 9 and a Maltipoo (Joplin) who will be 2 this year. The poo was adopted from a kill shelter in TX (and one before her from the same area as well). We've lost 4 dogs in 2 yrs due to old age, 3 within 6 months. Hard pill to swallow but I love them all and would LOVE to love yours too! I am a stay-at-home dog mom. I have all the time in the world to take care of your babies! Believe me when I say they will come home all tuckered out :) I have a fenced in back yard and 2 VERY friendly dogs to keep your pups very much entertained! In your home (if a dog sitter in home is required) you can expect all of their daily schedules to be fulfilled.

About: I have worked with pups and kittys since I was little, I have done puppy training all the way to taking care of senior pets. I have had much practice over the years with all of my own furry family members and now to having a few solid clients I service on a regular basis before even joining Rover. So I love taking care of folks furry family members including my own Doberman and my sisters cat while she's gone away at college. However I work for the government Tuesday - Saturday 10:30 a.m.-7p.m. so I can be there during the mornings and I can take care of them as soon as I get off work in the evenings for feedings, potty breaks, walks, etc. Unfortunately, I more than likely will not be able to do midday potty breaks so if you're someone who works from home and let's them out frequently it probably will not work out. But if they're used to being in during the day already from work schedules then it should be a perfect fit! I take care of my Doberman pup through trainings with positive reinforcement via toys and treats. I feed him every morning and evening, taking him on walks out in the woods and letting him run wild in our big back yard.

“Grant was a lifesaver for me and my puppies! As a busy night shift nurse I was not sleeping during the day so I could give my puppies attention. It all became too much so that’s when I decided to find a puppy daycare for them. I found Grant and he was open to watching them during the day for me so I can get some sleep! My 8month old puppy Cricket is a shy/ nervous girl and my 3 month old puppy Junebug is rambunctious and sassy. They both loved going to daycare and were thoroughly wore out after spending the day playing at Grant’s house!”

As I work from home, your pet will receive consistent attention throughout the day, regular walks, playtime, and plenty of companionship. With my work from home environment I am able to deal with pets all times during the week. I do travel some weeks, in which I will not take on any pets. I am flexible on schedules. This scheduling information will of be provided ahead of time to ensure you know exactly how your pet will be cared for. As I work from home your pet will be watched all day. Whether they choose to join me or relax elsewhere in the house is up to their preference. I do not have a kennel and am okay with pets being able to roam. I also want to break up my day so they will get walks every 2-4 hours if they would like. I also have a fenced yard that I can see from my office if they are wanting to spend more time outside. Personally I’ll probably be outside with them :)

About: I am open to most pets. Cats, Dogs, Horses, Calves, Lambs, Guinea Pigs, Turtles, etc..... If extra special care or out of state, I do charge travel fees. I do have experience with older pets and young ones. I have been known to raise Opossums from the size of mice to adults. If that gives you an idea! I am open to new proposals and willing to negotiate new situations! (Unencountered situations when it comes to pets) I also House-sit, plants, pets etc... I do travel out of state to Illinois (Mostly the North suburbs of Chicago) and Wisconsin. This is where I have done house-sitting. Pets and Plants can be included in this care. I do add travel expenses, mainly for gas, when traveling for house sitting. I get up in the morning and get my coffee going and then tend to pets that are around. They get fed first thing, inside and outside. Feral cats seem to be present in the morning. Litter boxes are checked. Water Bowls. Mostly I go to people's homes and care for the pets at their houses, but I have had people bring them to me. I have an extra room set up in my barn if there are anxieties or stress with animals and they need a quiet place. I am in the process of updating that room a little more. It is heated for the winter months. I do have hand brushes and combs for extra attention and I do go talk to whoever is around. If dogs come, they can be walked. Although I live in a small town, I am close to nice places to walk on the edge of town.

About: I’ve been around many dogs since I was little. Even viscous ones. But no type of dog scares me. Having a cane corso for about 4-5 years got me to be aware of any type of pets. I have worked for two different vet clinics as a vet technician giving medications, doing ivs, doing wound care, and being apart of surgery staff. I do some special handling dog training for anxious and semi aggressive dogs. My passion for special handling dogs started when I trained as a pet stylist. I got hands on experience helping stressed dogs relax and make situations better for them. I currently work in the Quad Cities as a pet stylist, working with both dogs and cats. I am very familiar and comfortable working with all kinds of animals be it furry, scaley or feathery. I do animal care for individual animals and also for hobby farms with chickens, ducks, goats, llamas and sheep. I am a very particular person when it comes to my own animals' care. Being very detailed oriented and handling your pets care is important to me. I think they deserve their care to be attentive and comfortable. Animals are not only something I am very passionate about but what I have revolved my life around. My days start around 5-5:30am. I typically take the dogs for a walk and have an hour to give them a bathroom break. I work as a pet stylist from 7-3:30. I can give bathroom breaks on my lunch break as needed. I keep all dogs leashed when outside to guarantee their safety. I have a fenced in back/side yard where I monitor dogs so they can be off leash if they are able to be trusted. I never leave pets unattended. I can kennel dogs to keep separate if needed. I am also trained in animal first aid. I deep clean and sanitize everything frequently.

“This was our first experience with the Rover app and Shannon taking care of Maggie. It could not have been a better experience! Shannon was great with communication and very timely. We had boarding arrangements elsewhere and they canceled at the last minute. Shannon was quick to reply to my inquiry and helped me navigate the Rover app. The "Meet & Greet" went very well with Maggie meeting Shannon's personal K-9 companions. About: My household has had dogs for the past 12 years. I have watched dogs for other families while they are away several times over the past 10 years. I work very well with energetic and stubborn breeds. Frequents walks. Almost always home. I am a stay at home mom of older children. I am almost always home, and will ensure a fun and yet peaceful environment. Thank you for your consideration. I do have a fenced in yard that is smaller, and live very close to a dog park if desired. I can seperate our dog on a lower level if there is ever any issues, or space is need.
About: I’ve had dogs as long as I’ve been alive and since living on my own, have had the pleasure of raising 2 of my own. I’m a dependable, caring sitter who treats every pet like they’re my own. I have experience with dogs of different sizes and personalities and love giving them plenty of attention, playtime, walks, and cuddles. I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away! I am currently working part time and have availability almost every Saturday and Sunday. I would love to fill my time with more love from your pets :) I have a decent sized fully fenced back yard and two dogs to keep your pet entertained during their stay. I am comfortable crating your dog, but also allow pets to roam freely as long as they’re fully potty trained.
About: I have been a pet owner my entire life. I have taken my own dogs through obedience training and have raised them from puppy to adults. I love taking walks around the neighborhood and playing with them in the yard. I would love to love your dog as if it was my own! I typically go for morning and/or evenings walks most days of the week. I work approximately 5-6 hours outside the home but I am able to set my own schedule to accommodate any necessary bathroom breaks. I have a fenced in yard and two kids(10 and older) who also love playing and snuggling with dogs. I have quiet spaces in the house if your pet needs some quiet time to relax, otherwise they are welcome to roam the house with the humans.
“Erica was wonderful. She had us meet her to go over details before the actual stay. She was very thorough and wanted to know all about my dog’s typical day. Her goal was for him to be as comfortable as possible. Her backyard is fenced and her home is neat and tidy. It was a very warm and cozy environment for my dog to settle into while he was there. She sent me some pictures of him and checked in with me so I knew everything was going well. I felt 100% confident that he was well taken care of!”
