“Katrina kept our two boys in her home for several days while were out of the country and we cannot recommend her highly enough. We visited her home twice before our trip and felt very reassured. While we were away, she was in regular communication and sent lots of photos. One of our guys has a recurring eye issue and it flared up badly while we were away. Katrina took great care of him. She took him to our vet and administered his medications. We were very worried about him and are so grateful to Katrina's family for taking such great care of him. I'd booked the incorrect dates and Katrina was flexible, making arrangements to extend our reservation. Katrina provided us (and our boys) an exceptional experience. We would not hesitate to book her again and recommend her unequivocally!”

“It's not often you run across someone who is as amazing as Elizabeth who took care of my dogs on the 4th of July! I could tell by the pictures she sent me the dogs were as happy as they could be. When I dropped them off I could immediately tell she was going to be perfect for Izzy and Bodie. I consider my dogs family and want the best for them. Elizabeth IS one of the best I've ever seen. I would use her again anytime.”

Definitely looking forward to the dogs staying with her in the future.”

“We’re so grateful to have Elizabeth sit for Rusty when the other sitter canceled our booking in the last minute! Elizabeth provided outstanding care for Rusty and ensured that Rusty’s needs be met while spoiling him as well. She also sent a bunch of pictures and videos of Rusty that we enjoyed so much! Her acreage yard allowed Rusty to run around and exercise as he loves to be outside! Thank you so much for your care! Highly recommended and will definitely use the service again in the future!”

“Susan was absolutely amazing from start to finish! I never used Rovee before so I was really cautious and overall pretty scared but Susan assured me she'd take great care of Char while I was traveling. I received pictures and videos daily of char as well as text updates. In the videos alone I could tell my dog was not only happy but he felt safe and loved. I would highly recommend Susan!”

About: In addition to having dogs and cats as my childhood pets, I also worked with the Puppy Jake Foundation training service dogs for wounded veterans for two years, and spent a summer interning at Kawa Farms K-9 Training. I have always adored all pets, but dogs and cats have a special place in my heart! I’m spending the summer in Ames and have a flexible schedule, so I’m available for last-minute bookings, frequent walks, overnight care, and lots of attention/playtime. I’m working part-time remotely over the summer, which gives me a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to caring for pets. I typically work about 4–5 hours on weekdays, leaving me with lots of availability for drop-in visits, walks, boarding, daycare, and overnight sitting. Because I spend most of my time at home, I’m able to give pets lots of attention, supervision, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. I also have flexibility for early morning, evening, and weekend care, and I’m happy to accommodate pets’ normal routines as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and cared for. I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for based on their individual routine and needs. I’m attentive to feeding schedules, potty breaks, exercise, playtime, medication instructions, and any specific preferences owners share with me. In my home, pets would have plenty of attention, supervision, and space to relax indoors. I do have an unfenced yard, so all outdoor time would be supervised and pets would always be kept safely on a leash when outside. In clients’ homes, I do my best to maintain pets’ normal routines to help them feel comfortable while their owners are away. I’m happy to provide walks, playtime, cuddles, updates/photos, and lots of companionship throughout the visit. I also make sure the home stays clean and secure while I’m there.
About: I have nine years of pet care experience. I raised and showed Rex rabbits for 4 years. Personally I have trained and care for my own dogs. After High School I work in an Animal Hospital. My duties there included receiving the animals for appointments, prepping and assisting in surgeries, keeping accurate records, cleaning and sanitation of the facilities. I am available to care for pets full time as I am looking to make a career out of caring for pets as I pursue a position as a Veterinary Assistant or Technician. I would be able to care for the animals in their own homes keeping them safe in the comfort of their own space and environment.

About: If you’re looking for a calm, safe place where your dog can relax, play, and get plenty of exercise, you’re in the right spot. I provide dog boarding in a quiet country setting with lots of open space for dogs to run and burn energy. Many dogs feel overwhelmed in busy boarding facilities, so my goal is to give them a low-stress environment where they can feel comfortable and cared for. Your dog will get: • Plenty of outdoor time and exercise • Constant supervision and attention • A safe, peaceful environment away from crowded kennels I’ve been around dogs for years and understand that every dog has a different personality and comfort level. I take the time to make sure they feel secure, get the activity they need, and settle in like they’re at home. Whether your dog loves to run, explore, or just relax, they’ll have the space and attention they need while you’re away. I also provide updates and photos so you can see how your dog is doing during their stay. Caring for dogs fits very naturally into my daily routine. Because I’m located in a quiet rural area, dogs staying with me have plenty of space to get exercise and enjoy the outdoors throughout the day. My day typically includes multiple outdoor breaks, playtime, and regular check-ins to make sure every dog is comfortable and getting the attention they need. I keep a consistent routine with feeding, activity, and rest, which helps dogs settle in quickly and feel at home. Since I’m around throughout the day, dogs are closely supervised and never left alone for long periods. I also make sure to send updates and photos so owners can see how their dog is doing while they’re away. Providing a calm, structured environment with lots of outdoor time is a normal part of my day, and I enjoy making sure every dog has a safe, comfortable, and fun stay. When dogs stay with me, I focus on giving them a safe, calm environment with plenty of attention and exercise. I live in a quiet rural area, which allows dogs to enjoy lots of outdoor time and space to run, explore, and burn energy throughout the day. I keep a consistent routine that includes regular outdoor breaks, playtime, feeding on their normal schedule, and time to rest so they stay comfortable and relaxed. Every dog is supervised closely to make sure they are safe and adjusting well during their stay. I understand that every dog has a different personality and energy level, so I adjust care to match their needs—whether that means more playtime, relaxed downtime, or extra attention. My goal is to make every dog feel safe, comfortable, and at home while their owner is away. I also provide updates and photos so owners can feel confident that their pet is being well cared for.

About: I’ve taken care of fur babies of all kinds since before I could walk. I grew up with a dog and cat always in tow. I lived in the country, so learned fast that the world can be hard for an animal, thus beginning my rehab ‘career’. As I got older, I pet sat for neighbors and family friends. In my mid 20s I trained as a vet tech, prepping animals for surgery, giving vaccinations, nail trims, etc. Until the ISU Wildlife Clinic closed, I volunteered there, learning more care for wild native animals. I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life, I can’t imagine life without animals. I currently have a senior border collie named Lola, she has arthritis so sometimes she needs help getting around and I’m always willing to help my girl. I also have a senior cat. Currently I’m a doordash/grub hub driver, so I literally am free 24/7 to care for your pets! I will prioritize Rover over delivery, so I can work with any schedule you need. I’m available for repeat needs (several walks a week, drop ins, etc). I live in a duplex with a yard. For me to board a pet, they would need to get along with my dog, and she can honestly be a bit grumpy meeting new dogs, so I feel going to the client’s home would be best. I will respect your home and follow whatever instructions you have for the care of your pets.
About: I've grown up with pets my whole life - dogs, cats, cows, horses, hamsters, mice, you name it I probably had it at one point. I have a dog of my own as well. I like to say I've had animal experience my whole life, but formally I have had over 8 years of experience in the animal care industry. I have spent time in veterinary clinics, grooming, boarding, doggy daycare, dog training, permanent sanctuaries, rehabilitation facilities, and farms. I have also fostered multiple dogs from local rescues. I recently earned a bachelors degree in animal science and currently attend veterinary school at ISU. I really really love animals and everything about them, and I would love to spend some time with your pet when you're not able to! Pet care is built into my schedule and comes as second nature to me now after being immersed in it for so long. On average, a minimum of 3-5 hours of my day are dedicated to my animals. I enjoy taking my dog on multiple walks a day, of varying lengths, to ensure he has enough mental stimulation and exercise to meet his needs. Training is also a constant in my household, whether that be scheduled training sessions, or simply consistent work throughout daily tasks. I find it important to build a bond with my animals as well as those I meet, and training helps strengthen that bond. Outdoor activities (walks, meeting friends dogs, swimming, fetch, etc.) and training exercises are my primary methods of exercise and activity with my pet, and would be with clients pets as well. On days it's not so nice I like to work on training inside or find new enrichment activities to keep my pet occupied and stimulated. I take pride in keeping my environment and my animals’ clean, so I regularly bathe and brush my dog, as well as clean food and water bowls. I will care for my clients pets as I would care for my own.
