“Katrina kept our two boys in her home for several days while were out of the country and we cannot recommend her highly enough. We visited her home twice before our trip and felt very reassured. While we were away, she was in regular communication and sent lots of photos. One of our guys has a recurring eye issue and it flared up badly while we were away. Katrina took great care of him. She took him to our vet and administered his medications. We were very worried about him and are so grateful to Katrina's family for taking such great care of him. I'd booked the incorrect dates and Katrina was flexible, making arrangements to extend our reservation. Katrina provided us (and our boys) an exceptional experience. About: While I have never owned my own cat (that will change in the new future), I have lived with cats for the past three years. I was fortunate enough that my college roommate had a cat, who became like my own. Over the three years of living with him, I cared for him on multiple occasions where his mom was out of town, so I was able to gain experience with all the aspects of taking care of a cat in their home. My husband and I rescued an 8 year old black Lhasa Apso in Chicago and got to spend 4 wonderful years making sure her remaining time was filled with love and happiness. For dogs who are used to sleeping in a bed, we forego the crate and just let a pup snooze right on the guest bed. About: I love all types of pets. I’m very affectionate, attentive to details, responsible, high energy. Pets make me feel less anxious and I love them in my lap I am available any after before 8 am and after 4 pm for a walk or feed the pets. All day during the weekends to watch them. I work mostly on the weekends. I am most available to spend the most time with your pet during the week. I have school but no more than 4 hours a day. I provide attentive and reliable pet care either in my home or in the client’s home, depending on their preference. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, exercise, playtime, and any specific care instructions. I make sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and well-cared for by giving them plenty of attention and maintaining a clean environment. If caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space, keep everything tidy, and ensure the pet experiences minimal disruption to their normal routine. I am also comfortable administering medications if needed and monitoring pets for any changes in behavior or health. My goal is to provide a stress-free experience for both the pet and the owner.
About: Animals hold a special place in my soul that I can't describe. Each pet brings me joy to take care of. I've had a few pets over the years; right now a 7 year old Bichon Frise/Shih Tzu named Snoopy. I've also worked at a dog daycare and boarding facility for the past two years. I started college as an Art Education major, but quickly changed to Animal Science. My goal is to work as an animal caretaker at the Omaha Zoo. I'm taking 12 credits at Iowa State, so I am busy but my schedule is flexible. I am pretty available to stop in between classes and in the mornings/evenings. Weekends are often free, but sometimes I go visit my family nearby. I have an apartment so I can't take pets to my place. I am available for check-ins and walks obviously. Throughout high school and these past two years, I've been trusted to care for pets in neighbors and strangers homes, and at a dog boarding and daycare facility in Des Moines.
About: Breed, raised, train, and show my own two dogs that are at home with my family as I go to college for my pre vet undergrad. Have worked in a vet clinic with the border dogs can give meds if needed. I take classes at ISU so when I don’t have class I can take care of your pets. I have a part time job and I can work weekends or for long periods of time. I can work with your dogs how ever you would like at your house. I will care and love then as if they where my own.(My apartment doesn’t allow pets)
About: My friends, family and neighbors have come to me when they need someone to look after their pets. I’ve pet sit for dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, fish and reptiles. During the week, I have veterinary school with breaks between classes. I was a vet assistant for 5 years so I gained plenty of experience with a variety of animals. Animal care is one of my passions so walking and sitting in my free time is something I enjoy! I’m am a veterinary student during the week so I’m looking to help walk dogs or pet sit on the weekends and days I get off. I have breaks between classes that I can utilize as well I live in an apartment with lots of trails and parks nearby. I hope to get them outside and walking especially during nice days. About: For several years, I’ve cared for friends dog while they are away and needing someone to provide care, either extended in home stays or just popping in. I had a dog when I was growing up, and I loved being able to take her on walks and little adventures, now I just have cats. I enjoy walking dogs and taking them to the park for some enrichment and exercise! Providing some time during the day to keep your pet company is something I love to do. As a pet owner, when I'm away for longer than normal, it always makes me feel better knowing my pets have someone to check in on them, so I love to do that for others when I can! I currently have a very flexible schedule, so I am available for daytime care during the work day, as well as last minute care needs! I am happy to take dogs on walks, or to the dog park, and provide engaging play and attention. For cats, I'm happy to follow their cues, hanging out nearby, providing opportunities to play, and come get some affection if they want. I pay close attention to animals and their needs, responding quickly to any cues they are giving me about what they may want or need. If a dog seems stressed, we will head back home and get back to a comfortable space. With cats, I always let them set the pace and get comfortable.
About: I have work experience in kennel and farm animal as well! I have been fostering pets since 2015 and am in undergrad for Veterinary Medicine. Pet care is usually always a responsibility 4-5 times a week when I am working. With my free time it can be my responsibility whenever. I provide care by creating a fun experience for the pet(s). While we were away, she was in regular communication and sent lots of photos. One of our guys has a recurring eye issue and it flared up badly while we were away. Katrina took great care of him. She took him to our vet and administered his medications. We were very worried about him and are so grateful to Katrina's family for taking such great care of him.
