Personalized care for your dog or cat - Gladwin

“I had to leave the country for about 3 weeks due to my personal business and I asked Jason as always to care for my babies. I heard the weather was crazy here in Iowa on the first week of February, to the point where cars couldn't move. He notified me thoroughly throughout the whole 3 weeks which made me very comfortable. When I was out of contact due to time difference/internet issue, he still kept helping me out with suggestions and waited for me to respond which could've been a long burden. He truly TRULY cares about the pets, not because of business but from his heart. I really appreciate your help Jason. Thank you so much for the great care.”

About: I grew up on a farm, so I've always been surrounded by animals and have developed a natural ability to care for them. This experience has taught me patience, responsibility, and a strong understanding of animal behavior. I’m not only comfortable with dogs of all ages but also have experience handling puppies and providing senior dog care. I work from home, which allows me to give your pet my full attention throughout the day. With a flexible schedule, I'll be the one taking care of your pet personally, ensuring they get plenty of walks, playtime, and cuddles. We have a dog at home and an unfenced yard, but we're just one block away from a dog park, so your pet will have plenty of opportunities for outdoor play and exercise. If needed, we can crate our dog to ensure safety and comfort during your pet's visit. We always prioritize the well-being of all pets in our care and will adjust our home environment as needed to meet your pet's needs.

“Ashley was very accomodating with last minute changes and was very good at keeping in contact. Lots of pictures of all our babies & we loved that!”

“Stacy did an AWESOME job with my 1 year old (LARGE) dog, Jemma. She worked with her on commands that we'd been working on and gave her lots of love! She sent pictures every day and was very easy to work with. She is great with animals and was able to watch Jemma for a week while I was travelling - what a life saver she is!!!!”

“So amazing! This was Greta’s first time with Adela and she love, love, loved it! Her dogs were awesome with Greta and her household super loving! 15 inches of snow that first night and Adela didn’t mind a bit. We needed an extra night because of it and Adela and family were so happy about it. Highly recommend them! We’ll be back!”

“Trish is awesome!!! She provides regular updates and is such a big help and so friendly with our golden retriever. We were worried he was not going to want to come home since it looked like he was having such a good time! We will be sure to have her help any time we need a dog sitter going forward!”

About: I have loved critters of all kinds since childhood. I attended obedience training for my family Rottweiler at age 6, and have cared for many big-breed dogs such as pitbulls, American bulldogs, mastiffs, Great Danes, labs, and more. I have been the trusted pet sitter for friends and family starting as early as middle school, and am also very comfortable around small breeds and senior babies. I have experience with Boston terriers, yorkies, daschunds, beagles, and more. I have and am comfortable with administering necessary meds or topicals for pets with extra health needs. I have also cared for cats, bunnies, fish, and turtles. I am very passionate about rescuing, and happy to discuss any extra care your pet may need due to a life transition like fostering or rescuing. I watched a PETA ad when I was 9 years old and have been vegetarian ever since… I just really love animals! :) I am working part-time from home at the moment, so I am very flexible currently with my schedule. I am typically available in the mornings, afternoons, and early evenings! I have a fenced in backyard, and I do not have a dog of my own. I have a dining area with an extra couch that can be sectioned off if needed for a crate or food. I do have a senior cat who is indoor, who is very friendly with dogs. He grew up around my mom’s beagles, so he doesn’t mind company/energy! I can section off my basement stairs and kitchen for safety if needed. I cannot board any cat-aggressive dogs for my cat’s safety. I do not use any non pet-safe cleaners or pest control in my home.

“Christian was wonderful! Extremely responsive, easy to contact, friendly, and organized. He sent us updates throughout the stay and we felt very relaxed knowing our dog was in good hands. Highly recommend!”

“Miki and her family were compassionate and very understanding while watching our 2 dogs during (probably) the coldest week of the year. Very grateful for her care!”

Caroline S.

“Laura and her family worked out great for our 2 pups. She was available on short notice and was a very good communicator, which we really appreciated. We scheduled a meet/greet prior to the booking and were very comfortable with Laura, her 2 pups, and her home. Our pups really enjoyed playing in her fenced backyard and lounging on her deck. When indoors, Laura’s home was super comfortable and accommodating for their needs. We would definitely recommend Laura’s services and rebook with her, if needed.”

“Kenneth and his son were terrific dog sitters, my 2 dogs were well kept, took many walks and were very happy. First time to Iowa and they were very welcoming, definitely will book them again.”

About: I am a responsible college student athlete who is very active and loves to be around pets. I have grown up with 1-3 pets in the house my whole life, and I have learned to take care of them to the best of my abilities. I have gotten used to doing the many duties involved with taking care of a pet, including picking up waste. My summer is busy enough to create a schedule to keep me organized, but I have more than enough free time to take care of your pet(s)! I have always been a lover of bigger dogs, which is the size of dog I have the most experience with, but I have been a dog-sitter for small dogs too. I am open and comfortable with a variety!

“Nicole was great! She was communicative, reliable, and our pup was clearly well taken care of. She sent updates throughout the day which we really appreciated. Would definitely book again!”

“I used to think that no other person could love my dog Oliver as much as I do... until I found Trish. She has been an absolute godsend to us and I could not be more grateful for her. It truly feels like I am dropping my dog off to spend the day with family in a home where he will be loved to no end. I wish I could give her 100 ⭐️'s and I HIGHLY recommend her for anybody in need of dog care!”

About: I did a lot of dog/cat sitting back when I was in college (8 years ago). I have some time off of work and would love nothing more than to fill my schedule with watching your pets. I have experience in caring for dogs, cats, chickens, and some reptiles. I am off of work for a couple of months, so my availability is wide open! 7 days a week, morning or night would work. I live on an acreage, so our 3 dogs are on a wireless gps collar system. If your dog/s were to come to my yard, they would need to be somewhat collar-trained. At your house, I can walk dogs, play with your dogs in your yard, and hang out with them inside the house. For cats, I can play with them inside, and give them lots of company.
