About: ***So you want a housesitter?Please read carefully before booking. ***I have an 11lb Havanese in my home who will be w/me for housesitting and boarding assignments*** I live and work downtown (full-time remote). I can host your pet overnight in my home; stay overnight in your home if needed. Pop-in visits to provide breaks, walks, feeding if you live within a reasonable distance. I can also provide day care services. Very flexible and try to respond promptly bc we all have busy lives. I do not have a crate. Bringing your own crate is optional but not required. House broken/trained is preferred. I prefer to host 1 dog at a time. 2 dogs from the same household would be possible but prefer not to mix dogs from multiple households. ***Housesitting notice - I do have an 11lb Havanese puppy that would accompany me for overnight housesitting assignments. He's house-trained, does not shed and very friendly with people and other dogs.*** ***Boarding / House-sitting requests please note that I have a 1yr old 11lb Havanese in my home. Very social, friendly and playful. He gets along w/all people and dogs. He will also be w/me for any house-sitting bookings. I have cared for small dogs <25 pounds all the way up to large sized Great Danes > 200 pounds. I have been fostering dogs for Safe Paws Iowa for the past 3 years. I am available for a large portion of the summer because I only coach softball outside of the school year. I am very active and would love to share that energy with dogs! About: Not only have I had my own animals most of my life but for 3 or 4 years I was also a foster home for the breed Weimaraner. Animals are like my kids and so will be your animals. About: Dogs have always been in my life. I volunteered at Animal Lifeline for 8 years and had a dog daycare of my own for a while. Dogs are everything and I’d be honored to love on yours. I currently work full time from home so doggie day care is definitely doable! My day ends at 3 pm so I can be that late afternoon or evening potty break or walk. Weekends have potential as well with pre-arranged time and notice. Should your dog(s) stay with me during the day, I have a fenced yard and no carpet in case of oopsies! If you request that I come to your house I am very reliable, responsible and respectful. I can guarantee a boat load of scritches and belly rubs as well as time for “business”.

I am always willing to go for midday lunch walks (in the Ankeny/Polk City area) or weekend check ins in the metro, while you are out and about being social. My husband works blue collar, so sometimes I have a lot of time to myself while he’s working, I’d love to fill in with walks at night or weekends in the Highland Park/Saylor TWP/Beaverdale areas, but willing to venture out into the metro. “Rebekah was absolutely wonderful with my dog! My dog is special needs and a nervous nelly about nearly everything. I was the typical nervous parent, leaving her with someone new for the first time. Poof settled in so fast, and Rebekah did a great job with all of her needs! Her dogs are friendly, and gave Poof some canine companionship while we were away. To be honest, I don’t think she missed us at all! Rebekah checked in, sent photos, and made me feel super safe leaving Poof in her hands.
