About: I have been taking care of dogs and cats since 2005 my parents had 3 ridgbacks and I haven't known a time when im not the guy to watch someone's beloved animal! About: Dogs have always been in my life. I volunteered at Animal Lifeline for 8 years and had a dog daycare of my own for a while. Dogs are everything and I’d be honored to love on yours. I currently work full time from home so doggie day care is definitely doable! My day ends at 3 pm so I can be that late afternoon or evening potty break or walk. Weekends have potential as well with pre-arranged time and notice. Should your dog(s) stay with me during the day, I have a fenced yard and no carpet in case of oopsies! If you request that I come to your house I am very reliable, responsible and respectful. I can guarantee a boat load of scritches and belly rubs as well as time for “business”.

About: I have taken care of dogs of all sizes small to extra large as well as cats and even some exotic pets. I have been the go to sitter for my friends and family every time they go on vacation. I am currently spoiling two dogs, two gerbils, and a planted tank of various aquatic wildlife but have also had lizards and other rodents in the past. I discovered I enjoy taking care of special needs dogs and give them the best life they can dream of, especially if they have a tough go before they come to me. I home make dog food, drive my dogs in their car seats for weekly pupcups, and have weekly spa days where I make them smell less stinky. As long as I can fit my own personal daily needs and routines, I can fit watching your pets or house whenever it is needed. One of my dogs is currently in training to get along with stranger dogs, so I will need to do drop bys (no outside animals in my home for now). In their own home, I would just stick to the routine as closely as possible. I also don't like just running in and out, I will give your pet all the love and attention while I'm there. I can also be a pet taxi.

About: Hi! I’m Rachel, and animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. These days, my family includes my partner, four kids, and what we lovingly call our “mini zoo”: dogs, cats, a bunny, ball pythons, a bearded dragon, mourning geckos, and multiple aquariums full of fish, shrimp, snails, and dwarf crayfish. Caring for such a variety of animals has made me comfortable with everything from energetic puppies to reptiles and aquatic pets. Taking photos and communicating heavily with pet parents is top priority for me. If you wish to have less communication, just let me know so I don’t send too many cute pictures of your pets! I know what a big deal it is to leave my pets in the care of someone else and as a result, I take the responsibility very seriously myself. Both my wife and I have worked in food prep and have experience with food allergies in our family so if you have any food allergies in your home, please let us know! We will do our best to make sure we do not add any cross contamination risks to your home. This includes pet allergies (one of ours is allergic to chicken). We have a very large unfenced yard. We do not use any pesticides on our yard to protect the environment and animals of all kinds. 🌎🐝🦋 In the warm months, you’ll see lots of native plants, wildflowers and butterflies in our yard as a result. Please note: While we welcome pets of all kinds, we do not allow pet parents into our home. We want to make sure we are protecting the privacy and security of our children and their space. I worked in nursing for several years before leaving to care for my father full time.between that and being a mom giving love and care comes easy. I have 3 dogs of my own, all of which are friendly and love a bit of play time. I am a big believer in fresh air and exercise. Let's get those steps in for your 4 legged family member. I don't work a regular job, I care for my elderly father and do some side work here and there. So I am available for walking or drop in visits at a moments notice. I'm a teacher and a lifelong animal lover with a flexible summer schedule, which means I'm home and fully available to give your pets the time, attention, and care they deserve while you are away. Our current fur baby family members include Mya, a 13-year-old lab/hound mix, and Mercury, a 3-year old kitty (who thinks he is a dog). Whether your pet needs exercise, cuddles, special care, or a calm and loving environment, I would be honored to care for them like one of my own. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I’m a teacher so I’m home this summer and available. I have 3 busy teens and am volunteering at the Des Moines Playhouse a few hours a week, but am home most of the time. We have a partially fenced in yard in our planning to completely fenced in in the next couple weeks. We live on a quiet street which is a great area to go on walks.

About: Dogs and cats are my first priority whenever I'm over at a friend or family member's house. My brother had asthma so we re-homed our dog Sylvie when I was seven years old--I have some very dramatic journal articles from that time! So, whenever I got to be around pets, I gave them as much of my attention as they were interested in. I am now lucky enough to have my own dog (Shannon, the goldendoodle in my profile picture) but can never get enough time with dogs and cats!! Over the summer my schedule is relatively flexible, so if your dog needs a walk or your cat needs to be fed at any time throughout the day, I should be able to make it work! My goal is to maintain your pet's routine as much as possible! I can spend one-on-one time with them, take them out, or just check on them as the situation requires.
