About: I’ve taken care of quite a few dogs since I was young. I’ve had two dogs myself but currently don’t have any furry friends. I regularly dog-sit my parents’ dog and have occasionally watched other dogs. I do not work during the summer so I am home most of the time other than when running errands or the occasional day trip. This will allow me to keep whatever schedule your dog is used to. We have a fenced in yard with a few doggy neighbors. We do not have any furry pets at the moment so yours will get all the attention!

I work in Cedar Rapids so I'm only able to do mid day check ins in that area. If you aren't in the Cedar Rapids area I can do morning and evening/night check ins. I am able to stay overnight at your home as well if needed. I provide care at the client's home. I am able to come for a drop in visit and hang out with your pet for a short time or I'm able to come and stay for the night, weekend, or longer if needed.

About: I lost my dog last year and miss taking care of him, now that I have free time on my hands I'm looking to help take care of other dogs like I would my own. “My 9 year old, handicapped, German Shepard, little lady had an awesome time with Aryl, her pack and her family! We've already booked another stay. 🥰 This stay took place over overnight for 7 consecutive nights while I was at work. This was the first time not to allow her to stay at home alone. After a few rough nights alone, getting stuck a couple times, and then not able to make it through the night without apotty break, I knew I needed to find someone. Because Miss Black has lost use of her hind legs and is now in a wheelchair her care is a little more complex. Aryl administered her medication, assisted as needed going potty, and kept her cleaned up and smelling fresh every morning. This has been such a relief knowing she is in good hands. It gave me such peace of mind while I was working. Aryl didn't have any problems reading her communication signs. Even when she had other Rover dogs over, she was able to give Miss Black everything she needed. I believe Aryl's past experiences have given her the insight she needed to provide great care. Instead of wondering what I was going to walk into after a long shift, I was greeted by my smiling pup right inside the door.”

Boarding: not my preferred method of watching your pooch but if it’s absolutely needed, I can accommodate to make your pooch feel warm and welcome in my home.I have 2 large male dogs and a 2 year old- they’re great but getting older and less tolerant of other dogs.

“Jason was a tremendous help while I was on vacation and learned that my dad was about to pass away. Initially, he was to keep my dog for a week, but because I had to fly home because of my dad’s eventual passing and to prepare the funeral arrangements, Jason kindly extended my booking twice during the whole ordeal, and at a discounted rate. He was very empathetic, and told me not to worry about my dog, which alleviated so much of a very stressful situation. This was my second time using Jason, and I will continue to do so in the future.”

“Your pet will LOVE Abbey and her family. We had a last minute need for a Rover after the one we had originally booked wasn’t a safe option for our dog. She was so sweet to us, taking our dog, Moose at the last minute for the weekend. They were incredible to our dog - we know because not only did she send pictures and updates, our dog also ate!! He never eats when he’s in a new environment…especially when he’s not comfortable. Do yourself (and your pet) a favor, book Abbey!”
