I worked as an employee for 5 years and also had opportunities to help train and care for the dogs from 12 years old. I love learning more every time I interact with a new dog. I am skilled at training dogs to get over leash aggression and constant pulling. I have worked with many different breeds of dogs and have learned a lot about how this can alter their specific needs. We live at the back of Iao Valley, right next to the stream and have a beautiful fenced in half acre for the dogs to run around on. I work from home so will be w pup all day! About: For my kindergarten career day I showed up as a vet. After that, I became the kid in the house that would constantly be "adopting" new animals. It goes without saying that I've always been an animal lover. This led me to study and graduate with a bachelors in animal science and veterinary studies. They even invited us for a meet-and-greet on short notice, which made me feel much more at ease. The place itself is amazing—spacious and full of outdoor areas where dogs can run and explore. I have a backyard and I am home throughout the entire day. I care for a friend’s dog often, and I like to give the pup the option of indoor or outdoor so that they can walk in and out at their own convenience. That early check-in brought me such a sense of relief. Later, she sent me a photo of my dog resting peacefully in her garden while she gardened nearby, which spoke volumes about how safe and settled my dog felt. Michele was incredibly patient, kind, and genuinely present. She snuggled with my dog on the couch, included her in daily activities (like “helping” in the garden), and it was sweet that she seemed to enjoy my dog’s company. That matters to me more than I can easily express. Having a dog with extra needs can come with a lot of worry about being a burden, and it was sweet to sense that it wasn’t that at all for them. It was also deeply reassuring that they have an older dog themselves. Michele truly understands the rhythms, sensitivities, and nervous systems of senior and special-needs dogs. When I picked my dog up, she was happy to see me and tired in the best way—but most importantly, she was calm and regulated. This tells me everything about the quality of care she received. About: Hi there! Avid animal lover here ! My name is Daisy M. and I've grown up with a vast variety of animals in my childhood till now. I own two dogs of my own currently a 3 year old hunting dog mix rescue and a 11 year old chihuahua/pomeranian mix and a rescue cat who are the light of my world and fur children! I've trained and raised all my animals I’ve owned (one being an exceptionally well behaved Service Dog). have worked at an animal hospital so administrating medication, messy clean ups, and baths are no problem for me. I have also worked in a grooming department, as an equestrian Care taker and competitor, and a doggy day care. I am comfortable with all animals of all species and sizes. About: I have taken care of all kinds of dogs and if you were to ask people who know me they would tell you how much I love dogs! I have experience dog sitting on the mainland I moved to Maui 3 years ago and I am missing having some furry friends! I currently work 4 days a week in Paia. If your dog is well behaved they may come to work with me! If not Friday-Monday I will be gone for 8hrs. I enjoy going for walks either in the morning or after work! Pets in my home are welcome anywhere in the house and are fed twice a day with a minimum one walk a day ideally two. (I don’t currently have any pets of my own in the home)

He’s a high-energy pup and can definitely be a handful, especially in a new environment with new people and dogs but they handled him with so much patience, structure, and care. They have a beautiful & fenced property — kept him active with daily walks and dog park visits (which he absolutely loved!) and even worked on some training. About: I have a husky mix Kea and we are super active! Daily walks and animal care is in my daily routine. I have been doing rover for a long time now. Apart from dogs, I worked/lived at a cat sanctuary in Haiku that had over 200+ cats as well as chickens and cows. My job consisted of feeding, giving medicine/attention, and cleaning after them everyday. I take care of my husky mix Kea everyday! I work from home m-f and have lots of free time. I love to take care of all kinds of animals. I am looking for some extra jobs on the island! I would make sure I am aware of the clients needs and expectations when being in their home. I will be aware of any precautions and contact the owner with any issues. I will take care of the animals with anything that is needed (walking/feeding/put into crate/attention), I am a quick learner and am open to any specific jobs.

About: Hi there! We’re a family of animal lovers and would be thrilled to care for your pets. We have one small dog of our own, a 10 year old Shiba Inu, who is very chill and gets along great with other dogs! Both my husband and I have had dogs our entire lives and have plenty of experience caring for them. My husband is known in our family as the “dog whisperer.” We have family on the mainland and travel back a couple of times a year, so we understand how important it is to find someone you trust to care for your pets while you’re away. Whether you need daily drop-in visits or boarding while you’re off island, your pets will be treated like part of our family and will be in loving hands. I’m currently a stay-at-home mom with a flexible schedule. We’re an active family and would love to include your dog in our daily outings when appropriate. We live in Kihei near a dog park and the beach and spend plenty of time outdoors. Because we have two young children and a small dog in our home, boarding is best suited for dogs that are friendly and comfortable around both children and other dogs. We’re also more than happy to provide drop-in visits! Dogs are taken out for potty breaks every 3hours (or as needed), I shower them with so much love and walks to the parks ect. Playing with, exercising, feeding and even doing some training are all things I like to incorporate in my daily schedule.
