“I’d recommend Johnathan! He’s like a dog whisperer. Mika always has issues with new sitters and I was a bit worried at first she kept barking non stop as usual but after a while she settled in but still barked several times. Lacey was no problem she’s always mellow and friendly. Mika in the other hand is very defensive but Johnathan took them in with short time spent with Johnathan Mika barely barked going home after the meet and greet. Then back at it when I dropped them off-when I picked them up Mika made a good connection with Johnathan and she didn’t even bark in my car just crying a bit but no barking she didn’t even want to get out of my car to go inside our home! Amazing improvement!! I’d go to Johnathan for my dogs anytime and highly recommend him as well got updated a few times in the day to keep me updated on how they’re doing. “Wish I could give more than 5 stars! Kule was so well taken care of! Jo and Tame treated our baby like their own and absolutely showered her in love. Kule unexpectedly went into heat during her stay and I felt so bad but they took care of her and went out of their way to make her feel comfortable. They always sent pictures and videos of her on her walks and was very communicative during the whole 3.5 weeks. I will totally stay in touch with them and even meet up at the dog park for the pups to play. It’s hard trusting people with our fur babies while we are away but I 100% recommend them to everyone and will use them if ever we are off island again.”

We live at the back of Iao Valley, right next to the stream and have a beautiful fenced in half acre for the dogs to run around on. I work from home so will be w pup all day! About: From puppies to seniors, we've cared for and loved them all. Jack Russels, Chihuahuas and all the mixes. We at one time had 3 little ones in our lives cause we couldn't watch the one sweet chihuahua that belonged to our friend go back to the pound when he didn't quite fit in well with their kids. We took him home to find him a home and we sure did! 13 years of his little life wasn't enough time. Love fostering with Maui Humane when we can, hard to say goodbye but worth it to make their life just a little better for a bit. I work part time from home so I'm usually around to play or snuggle with your pup. We are mostly home bodies so even on the weekend your pup won't be lonely. We have a friendly (for a chihuahua lol) 4 year old Chihuahua that is always looking for playmates! We have an outside space where they can run that energy off too and live close to the beach! So if the paw parents approve we're happy to enjoy nightly sunsets or early morning beach walks while it's not too hot. During the day they can lounge or play in the house or choose to lay in the sun on our fenced front lanai. Special diets don't intimidate me. Ours is a picky eater so I understand the need to mix up the meals every once in a while.

About: I’ve been a dog lover since my first puppy, Zeus. I had him and grew up with him for ten years of my life and now I am blessed with another puppy, Koda. I’ve always had a soft spot for dogs and show the most attentive care for them. Especially because my Koda has seizures, I’m always home and around. And our loving little town has an amazing dog park for outdoor time. Everyday, koda and I begin our morning with a walk then breakfast. I am always home so he’s glued to my side during the day. We do our thing around the house or on sunny days we head out to the dog park. Afterwards it’s back home and dinner time. I have my fur baby so your loved one will never be alone. I allow pets on furniture and to freely Rome the house. Any outdoor time would be walks around the neighborhood or to the dog park.

That early check-in brought me such a sense of relief. Later, she sent me a photo of my dog resting peacefully in her garden while she gardened nearby, which spoke volumes about how safe and settled my dog felt. She snuggled with my dog on the couch, included her in daily activities (like “helping” in the garden), and it was sweet that she seemed to enjoy my dog’s company. When I picked my dog up, she was happy to see me and tired in the best way—but most importantly, she was calm and regulated. This tells me everything about the quality of care she received. This kind of support is immensely valuable. I would absolutely recommend Michele and Brian, especially to anyone with an older, anxious, or special-needs dog who needs more than basic sitting. About: I’m currently doing my undergrad and want to become a physical therapist so I can take care of the kūpuna. This past summer I completed 40 hours of shadowing. I’m on summer break so I have a lot of free time. Trying to make money before summer ends. I gotta go back to school soon. My girlfriend has 2 dogs that we feed, walk, and care for. About: Hi! I’m Rae! Ever since my dad handed me my first Boston Terrier when I was a little girl, my heart has belonged to the animals. I was lucky enough to grow up in a household with pets, and as an adult I couldn’t imagine not having pets. I also recognize that even though we wish we could take our furbabies everywhere, it’s just not a reality for a lot of us. So, I’m happy to be able to ease the worry of wanting or needing to travel, work, etc by offering to take care of your babies while you’re away. I’ve also traveled to help take care of pets while they’re pawrents were away, tending to both their pets and home. Currently I have a lot of open availability. I prefer to be able to come to your house as I have two pups and three kitties in my home, and I know a pet is usually more comfortable in their own environment. The less that has to change for pets, the better so they don’t have to experience the stress of a new place or dog boarding. So I’m happy to provide potty breaks, walkies, play time, and in home sitting if needed. With direction from you, I’m happy to follow guidelines that you have set up for your pets in your home from their daily routine, to walks etc.

About: I grew up on a farm raising cattle, chickens, rabbits, cats and dogs, I guess that is where my love for animals began. I have two dogs of my own, wish I had extra space for 2 more or an entire dog sanctuary. “I’d recommend Johnathan! He’s like a dog whisperer. Mika always has issues with new sitters and I was a bit worried at first she kept barking non stop as usual but after a while she settled in but still barked several times. Lacey was no problem she’s always mellow and friendly. Mika in the other hand is very defensive but Johnathan took them in with short time spent with Johnathan Mika barely barked going home after the meet and greet. Then back at it when I dropped them off-when I picked them up Mika made a good connection with Johnathan and she didn’t even bark in my car just crying a bit but no barking she didn’t even want to get out of my car to go inside our home! Amazing improvement!! I’d go to Johnathan for my dogs anytime and highly recommend him as well got updated a few times in the day to keep me updated on how they’re doing. We have one small dog of our own, a 10 year old Shiba Inu, who is very chill and gets along great with other dogs! Both my husband and I have had dogs our entire lives and have plenty of experience caring for them. My husband is known in our family as the “dog whisperer.” We have family on the mainland and travel back a couple of times a year, so we understand how important it is to find someone you trust to care for your pets while you’re away. Whether you need daily drop-in visits or boarding while you’re off island, your pets will be treated like part of our family and will be in loving hands. Dogs are taken out for potty breaks every 3hours (or as needed), I shower them with so much love and walks to the parks ect. My partner can often times let your pet out to potty on my long work days. Usually just Wednesdays are 12 hr shifts. I like to keep the pets routines as close to what they are use to as possible. Playing with, exercising, feeding and even doing some training are all things I like to incorporate in my daily schedule.
