We have one small dog of our own, a 10 year old Shiba Inu, who is very chill and gets along great with other dogs! Both my husband and I have had dogs our entire lives and have plenty of experience caring for them. My husband is known in our family as the “dog whisperer.” We have family on the mainland and travel back a couple of times a year, so we understand how important it is to find someone you trust to care for your pets while you’re away. Whether you need daily drop-in visits or boarding while you’re off island, your pets will be treated like part of our family and will be in loving hands. I’m currently a stay-at-home mom with a flexible schedule. We’re an active family and would love to include your dog in our daily outings when appropriate. We live in Kihei near a dog park and the beach and spend plenty of time outdoors. About: I have a husky mix Kea and we are super active! Daily walks and animal care is in my daily routine. I have been doing rover for a long time now. Apart from dogs, I worked/lived at a cat sanctuary in Haiku that had over 200+ cats as well as chickens and cows. My job consisted of feeding, giving medicine/attention, and cleaning after them everyday. I take care of my husky mix Kea everyday! I work from home m-f and have lots of free time. We live at the back of Iao Valley, right next to the stream and have a beautiful fenced in half acre for the dogs to run around on. I work from home so will be w pup all day! “I cannot recommend Michelle and Brain highly enough. I have an older dog with special needs who cannot be left alone and who struggles deeply with separation anxiety. What my dog needs most is a steady, compassionate presence, and that is exactly what they provided. Not long after I dropped my dog off, Michele reached out to let me know that my dog was content, getting along well with her dog, and exploring her new surroundings. That early check-in brought me such a sense of relief. Later, she sent me a photo of my dog resting peacefully in her garden while she gardened nearby, which spoke volumes about how safe and settled my dog felt. Michele was incredibly patient, kind, and genuinely present. She snuggled with my dog on the couch, included her in daily activities (like “helping” in the garden), and it was sweet that she seemed to enjoy my dog’s company. That matters to me more than I can easily express. Having a dog with extra needs can come with a lot of worry about being a burden, and it was sweet to sense that it wasn’t that at all for them. It was also deeply reassuring that they have an older dog themselves. Michele truly understands the rhythms, sensitivities, and nervous systems of senior and special-needs dogs. When I picked my dog up, she was happy to see me and tired in the best way—but most importantly, she was calm and regulated. This tells me everything about the quality of care she received. This kind of support is immensely valuable. I would absolutely recommend Michele and Brian, especially to anyone with an older, anxious, or special-needs dog who needs more than basic sitting. Finding someone like this feels rare, and I would trust them with my dog again without hesitation.”

About: I’m a country, animal loving young girl. I’ve spent years caring for farms and ranches or just housesitting with many dogs, cats and much more. I just enjoy soaking up extra time with the critters. I’ve spent time training two of my own dogs and also several others. I have had 3 dogs myself, the last one being a bully breed who taught me a great deal of how to work with dogs who require high management. I enjoy breaking up the day with a dog walk or training. I am happy to walk, run, play fetch, work on training or any other request during your pups stay. I enjoy spoiling dogs. But I also practice boundaries and behavioral expectations. My rate includes 2 walks a day and/or other exercise. I also provide a stuffed kong and other chewy toys unless you prefer they don't have ☺️ I am a proponent for dog parents to have a fi or gos collar for their pups. I think it's helpful for you as the owner to know where your pup is and the exercise they are getting as well, in an unfortunate/ unlikely event of getting out we can track them. I work from home so am available at most all times. I also have a half acre fenced yard If possible I'd like to do a meet and greet before sitting. About: Hi! I’m Rae! Ever since my dad handed me my first Boston Terrier when I was a little girl, my heart has belonged to the animals. I was lucky enough to grow up in a household with pets, and as an adult I couldn’t imagine not having pets. I also recognize that even though we wish we could take our furbabies everywhere, it’s just not a reality for a lot of us. So, I’m happy to be able to ease the worry of wanting or needing to travel, work, etc by offering to take care of your babies while you’re away. I’ve also traveled to help take care of pets while they’re pawrents were away, tending to both their pets and home. Currently I have a lot of open availability. I prefer to be able to come to your house as I have two pups and three kitties in my home, and I know a pet is usually more comfortable in their own environment. The less that has to change for pets, the better so they don’t have to experience the stress of a new place or dog boarding. So I’m happy to provide potty breaks, walkies, play time, and in home sitting if needed. With direction from you, I’m happy to follow guidelines that you have set up for your pets in your home from their daily routine, to walks etc.

About: I have a husky mix Kea and we are super active! Daily walks and animal care is in my daily routine. I have been doing rover for a long time now. Apart from dogs, I worked/lived at a cat sanctuary in Haiku that had over 200+ cats as well as chickens and cows. About: I’m a country, animal loving young girl. I’ve spent years caring for farms and ranches or just housesitting with many dogs, cats and much more. I just enjoy soaking up extra time with the critters. I’ve spent time training two of my own dogs and also several others.
