About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life. I’m currently a dog groomer, and I absolutely love my job! I have 2 dogs, Chowder and Rascal (mini Aussies). Although I am located in Waianae, I am willing to drive all over the island. My dog grooming studio is at my house, so I’m home most of the day. When I have multiple boarders I like to rotate them in the yard throughout the day. I have a kiddie pool as well that most dogs enjoy. I have a fenced yard and sturdy gates to keep everyone safe. I typically like to keep boarders from different families separate. If you’re comfortable with your dog being with others dogs, they will only play supervised to avoid any skirmishes. My Aussies are friendly but I only let them socialize if you’re ok with it.

About: I’ve been the primary caretaker for my dog for the past 7 years, handling everything from daily walks and feedings to baths and medication. I walk him at least four times a day and try to get in a longer mile-ish walk a few times a week so he can explore at his own pace. I’ve also cared for several friends’ dogs for multi-day stays ranging from a couple of days to over a week. Between that and growing up around pets, I’m very comfortable reading a dog’s personality and routine. My wife has lived with dogs her whole life as well, so our home is very dog friendly. Dogs are welcome on the couch and our own dog sleeps in bed with us. I’ve also done a fair bit of basic training with him. I taught him “wait” (stay), helped him get comfortable with paw cleaning after walks, and even set up a little “dog nest” on the bed that he now uses as his sleeping spot. I’m around most of the time and able to give dogs attention, bathroom breaks, and supervision throughout the day. Our normal routine is a morning outing, one in the afternoon, another around 5–6pm, and a final one around 9pm before bed. If a dog needs to go out sooner or starts pawing at the door, I’m always happy to take them out. I try to fit in longer walks when the weather and work schedule allow, usually in the evenings. Because I’m home during the day, pets aren’t left alone for long stretches and get plenty of interaction. I work from home and have a wrap-around fenced yard, so dogs have plenty of safe space to wander and get fresh air. I keep a close eye on them when they’re outside and follow their normal routines as closely as possible. Inside, dogs are welcome to relax and make themselves comfortable. I have the ability yo keep your pups schedule on track while they are in my care. I only work one a day week away from home ( I come home in my lunch break) and do property management from home on the side. My sister watches my son on the one day that I do go to work, so if your pet stays with me I would always be around or my sister would be at my home to let your pet outside, walk them, and care for their needs. :) I do not normally host more than one families pet/s at once but if I was going to, I would let both owners know before doing so and only with dogs that I had watched before and know that there would not be any issues. I offer pet/house sitting, I need to be able to bring my son with me & if possible I like to bring my shih tzu Cheech with me to boarding jobs. (But I do understand sometimes that isn’t an option. About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and absolutely love them. I’ve always trained dogs to do the basics such as sit, lay down and roll over but to also walk next to you instead of pulling. I’ve worked with children for 12+ years and definitely understand the attention, patience and consistency needed. Not to compare children to dogs but… you understand what I mean :) My dog is my whole world so I promise to take the best care of your pupper and not only make sure they are happy but also safe. I only work part time right now which gives me plenty of time to come take care of your dog or doggies! Making sure pets are taken care of is my number 1 priority. I am able to follow any of the rules you already have for your pets as well as help add to their training if you would like! My dog is my world and I love her more than anything.
