“Just 4 days before this last stay with Joel, our dog had gotten severely attacked & bitten by another dog, at a local park. Bozzer (our puppy), was still in the early stages of healing. Joel was so kind to still take our dog, knowing he had to care for him a lot more than usual. Joel was AWESOME! He knew exactly what to do & reached out to us only when needed. About: I live on hickam base, which is 5 minutes to the airport, so if dropping off base access is required. Or I can pick up and drop off with small fee. My meeting place for those who don't have base access is: Holy Family Catholic Church, 830 Main St Honolulu. We hike daily and if your pup is active, they are more than welcome to join us on any hikes that we do! Or if they just like simple short walks that’s great too! I work part time and my schedule is pretty flexible, as long as I know ahead of time, we can work out a schedule that works out! I have a fenced in yard for bathroom breaks or for play time. If your dog is crate trained during the night and you wish to continue, I have medium size crate but you are welcome to drop off their own crate with them, if they like to rest in their own crate, otherwise they are free to roam around the house and rest anywhere! Does your dog have any allergies to food/other things? or is reactive with another dog, or around food? • please let me know in advance so I can take precautions. About: I have taken care of my 2 dogs for the past 10 years and I have taken care of my neighbors dogs many times. I have a very needy dog so I know when a dog needs to go for a walk or needs food. My only job is pet sitting so I am extremely available as long as I have time to go on hikes or walks around the city. I walk one of my two dogs 4-5 times a day and I walk my other dog only once or twice a day because she is very old but I feed both of them 3 times a day. I only gives them baths when they get stinky.

I’ve been dog sitting independently for over a decade and started using Rover when I discovered it in 2022 to expand my network. Dog sitting gives Zeus and I the chance to enjoy temporary playmates, and it gives me the opportunity to care for other pets in the same way I hope someone would care for him. I love to travel, so I know firsthand how important it is to leave your dog with someone who genuinely pays attention to their routine, comfort, personality, and little quirks. When Zeus stays with someone, I want to know he’s getting real care and attention not just being another dog in the house and that’s exactly the experience I try to provide for my own furry guests. Because of that, I currently board only one dog at a time. This allows me to give each guest more individualized attention, go on walks, keep the environment calm, and make sure both they and Zeus are comfortable throughout the stay. In addition to dogs, I’ve cared for cats, raised bunnies and chickens, and even had a pet parrot, so I’m very comfortable with a variety of animals and personalities. While I welcome most breeds, I’m no longer able to board German Shepherds in my home due to previous compatibility issues with Zeus, or small male dogs that are prone to marking indoors. I’m still happy to care for them through drop-in visits or house sitting when appropriate. My priority is always maintaining a clean, calm, and safe environment for everyone. I also prefer to hold meet & greets at my home before new boarding bookings so we can make sure the dogs are compatible and you can see exactly where your companion will be staying. Looking forward to meeting you and your furry family members! 🐾 Zeus never misses his walks, so we usually start our mornings with one and wind down the evening with another. Your dog is welcome to join us! If they’re not much of a walker, that’s completely fine too. We have a fully fenced yard where they can potty, explore, and spend time outside at their own pace. My schedule is flexible, and since I work from home, I’m able to be home full-time when I have a dog staying with me. Over the years, I’ve come to really value a quieter, more personal boarding experience, so I now only accept one guest dog at a time. That allows me to focus on their individual routine, give them plenty of attention, and avoid juggling multiple households or a house full of dogs. I’m around throughout the day to keep an eye on them, let them out regularly, spend time with them, and stick as closely as possible to what they’re used to at home. I have a fully fenced yard for supervised outdoor time, potty breaks, and play. Zeus, my Great Pyrenees, is used to sharing his space with other dogs. I can also accommodate crate-trained dogs or dogs who need quiet time away from the action. I keep the environment calm and structured so dogs have a chance to settle in instead of being overstimulated. I pay attention to each dog’s comfort level, behavior, and routine, and I never force interactions. My priority is keeping everyone safe and making sure your dog feels comfortable in my home.

About: I’ve always had multiple dogs growing up and once I got out of grad school, I decided to get a dog to call my own. But I tell everyone that she found me, not the other way around :) From walks, to dog parks, to hikes, and many more, I enjoy spending time with dogs and seeing them happily play with their friends (both new and old). I have experience caring for dogs who are sick or who may have some anxiety. With that, I’m big on taking photos of pets, so you’ll constantly receive updates from me. I work from home full time and am able to take fur friends out on walks throughout the day. My neighborhood is very dog friendly and there’s always a new dog on the block to make friends with. I recently lost my fur baby of 11 years. I work from home full time so I’m able to care for your pup depending on their needs and how often they need to walk/be outdoors. I still have three beds to choose from so your pup will also be able to choose from that selection.

I’m comfortable caring for energetic puppies, providing gentle attention to seniors, and everything in between. My husband is in the navy so I am at home full time. I am packpro training certified, which means I have training on subjects such as dog body language, dog handling, emergency situations and CPR. I also have my own pets - two cats and a Shiba Inu. About: I have grown up with and taken care of dogs my entire life, dog-sat multiple times, and am also raising a sweet doggo of my own. Now with a place of my own with no stairs, I love to included services for senior dogs. I am currently working from home part time so I am excited to take your pups out for a daily walk, check in on them during the day, or even board them over night! I have flexible availability other than Saturdays. I have a fenced in yard and a dog of my own. I do not have any stairs so my home is senior-dog friendly. I crate trained my dog as a puppy and happy to do that for your dog as well.
