Miller got many cuddles from Parker, which is awesome to see, and I picked Parker up, he was happy but not relieved. You never want your pup to run out like, “oh God you’re here! Take me home now.” If I stayed and chatted, he probably would have relaxed and played with Charlie more. It was comforting to know my guy (a senior) was safe and happy during his visit.”

I have house-sat for both friends and family for many years (short and extended!) and I have administered medicine in pill form, as well as inhaler (would be willing to learn injections if necessary). Our oldest cats have lived 18 years, and I currently own four cats (all rescues, aged 2 to 16). Our oldest dogs have lived 15+ I believe, but it's been a long time since owning one (my parents are disabled). I have done a bit of training with dogs and cats alike, but I am not a professional. This includes overnights, emergencies, and short/extended stays. All of the cats are treated with flea medication and I clean multiple litter boxes several times a week. For friends and family, I have had feeding schedules for both dogs and cats, ranging from custom mixed and weighed portions to simply making sure the auto-feeders/fountains are kept clean and filled. My best friend's dog gets playtime and outside time (he has a runner and a ton of toys to play fetch with). My Aunt's cat would need constant watch, as he needed an inhaler if he walked too far or his anxiety flared. I'm also open to doing light chores, so feel free to reach out with any and all questions!
