“We were looking for an option for dog boarding that wasn’t a kennel. I took our dog to meet Johnnica and her dogs to see if it would be a good fit. It felt like a great fit and our dog had a great weekend playing with her dogs and a couple other boarding dogs. I also appreciated the flexibility in coordinating drop off and pick up times. Kennels tend to have very restrictive hours for that and we didn’t want to have our dog stay an extra night away from us if it wasn’t necessary. While we were able to be there by 5pm she was flexible.”

He is also getting older, so he struggles with separation anxiety and requires frequent walks and intellectual stimulation. Mary Grace was a perfect fit. She is extremely competent and conscientious. She met both Ranger’s needs as a full time companion (walks, feeding, engaging) and my needs as a concerned parent (pictures, updates, etc). It’s the first time we’ve traveled in years that I was not constantly worried about Ranger. I would not hesitate to book with her again or to recommend her to others. She is amazing and I’m so grateful for how well she cared for our boy.”

About: I’ve worked with animals for as long as I can remember. I used to train hunting dogs and have fostered for paws regularly. I am used to watching dogs of all ages. About: WARNING- I send soooooo many pic and video updates to pet parents. If you don’t like for constant updates I may not be the sitter for you. I am a huge dog person, my aunt is a veterinary technician, and since I was a child, I went to work with her every weekend to assist her with cleaning the kennels, sitting with the dogs the veterinary clinic owned. About: As a stay at home mom, I can assure that your fur baby will receive all of the love, attention, care, and interaction they could want or need! 💛. We have a large backyard and my kids and are I are around all day to let them out (or in) whenever they want. Our whole family loves animals of all kinds so we aren’t just limited to dogs and cats. We have years of experience with all kinds of pets and are looking forward to loving on yours! Our current menagerie includes: Islay- a sweet tempered 3yo Brittany who loves to run. She is great with other dogs and loves to be chased, but can also be super chill with dogs that are on the calmer side. Bingo- a 10yo humungous Ragdoll cat, who mostly sleeps and lays around all day—sometimes gracing us with his presence for ear scratches. Mayhem- a spry 2yo cat that adopted us after hitching a ride under my car (unbeknownst to me) as a kitten. He is sweet and playful but spends most of his time outside—coming in to eat then begging to be let out again. Ellie- a 3yo very friendly bearded dragon. Paul- a 1yo beautiful ball python. Ollie- a 1yo shy but gorgeous leopard gecko. And 7 chickens all named after First Ladies. I am a stay at home mom so, unless I’m dropping kids off at school or taking them to practice I’m home all day to meet the needs of your precious ones! I have a fully fenced in back yard with lots of space to roam, run, and sniff. Since I’m home all day, I’m able to let pups out whenever they want or need!

I will not provide transport for animals other than cats or dogs and cats and small dogs must be tolerant of being crated for the ride. I am great at working with your schedule with at least 2 hours notice, but Rover does not allow easy schedule changes. If you need to reduce your visits, CANCEL the booking and REBOOK with your new dates, as once Rover confirms your booking it won’t let you reduce the current rate. In your home, I offer basic cleaning services and can ensure any messes get cleaned. I can meet many varied needs and am meticulous with following your house rules for your pets. I do not offer boarding or allow client pets at my home. I will not provide food or other consumables, though I will confirm what treats your pets can have because all good pets deserve treats. I provide basic behavior assistance such as teaching your dog that jumping on people is inappropriate, basic tricks (sit, down, paw), leash manners, but I DO NOT OFFER PAID TRAINING. I am not a certified trainer in any capacity, though I have trained many of my own animals (including rats and cats!)

I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and love giving them the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. Whether it’s walks, drop-ins, or in-home visits, I treat every pet like my own, with patience, playfulness, and lots of love! Pet care fits very naturally into my routine. I recently graduated, so I currently have a very open and flexible schedule that allows me to give pets plenty of attention, consistency, and care throughout the day. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for! When caring for pets in their own home, I focus on keeping them comfortable, happy, and relaxed in their familiar space. During visits, I make sure they get plenty of attention, whether that means playtime, cuddles, a walk, or just some calm companionship. I always follow the pet parent’s instructions closely, from feeding routines to favorite toys and potty breaks. I know how important it is to maintain your pet’s usual routine, so I do everything I can to make each visit feel safe, fun, and stress-free for both you and your furry friend!
About: Wasn't allowed to have pets when I was young but as soon as I could, I treat them like I want to be treated because fur babies are an extension of the people that raise them I'm currently retired/disabled Army, I have nothing but time to be of service to service animals and non service animals. So when last minute stuff happens I'm the go-to for friends and family I have a fenced in yard and a screened off patio and can cage your pet or room them if potty trained or even let them sleep in the same space as me if they need constant human interaction. I have 2 dogs they can react to or be kept separate from in the house between the fenced yard and screened off patio. The garage is also screened off so the doors can be left open for more space and ventilation. It's a 2 floor home so if your pet doesn't play well with others, they'll never have to meet. Everyone that lives in the home shares 2 or more decades of pet care experience or are Army medics with experience in emergency medicine.
About: I’ve been asked to pet sit for a variety of pets over the years. Anywhere from cats and dogs to bearded dragons and horses! I’m a quick learner and can adapt just as fast to match whatever needs are required. I also own two mixed dogs and an orange tabby cat myself. I am a newly wed who recently moved into town and am still getting settled. Until I get connected with my work, I have a TON of free time! I’d love to get to be surrounded by fur babies as much as possible! I love to let the critters set the pace when getting to know me. I believe there needs to be an established bond of trust before anything else. And I LOVE to love on them once they let me! I can never get enough pets and snuggles! I want them to feel as though I’m a friend and family member rather than a stranger. And the same goes for their human parents too! I love to connect with my clientele and keep them updated as much as possible to ensure they feel confident that their babies are taken care of :)
About: I’ve been pet sitting since forever. I have multiple animals of my own seeing as I have a farm and love to add animals to it. I’m currently in school get my bachelors in health science and associates in business, but luckily as of right now I am online so free all the time when im not babysitting/nannying. I’m looking for more opportunities to pet sit since I love animals and have all summer completely free. I am able to take your fur babies on long walks and fun trips to the park to play. I will love and treat your fur babies as if they are my own. I have a very secure environment as I live in a house on my parents property with them. It felt like a great fit and our dog had a great weekend playing with her dogs and a couple other boarding dogs. I also appreciated the flexibility in coordinating drop off and pick up times. Kennels tend to have very restrictive hours for that and we didn’t want to have our dog stay an extra night away from us if it wasn’t necessary. While we were able to be there by 5pm she was flexible.”

About: I'm a full time professional dog trainer, and located on 4 Acres near Brookstone in North Columbus, my house the only legally operated, state-licensed, and insured home kennel offered on Rover. My personal dogs are a Mini-Schnauzer name Cricket, Doberman named Domino, and a Pointer named Marley. Training dogs is my full time job. I own my own business, The Barkitekt, and founded the Columbus Kennel Club. I have 6 years of experience working with dogs, puppy foundations, resource guarding, and behavior issues that take real experience to handle safely. I primarily train service dogs and sometimes sport dogs. I'm comfortable with puppies, seniors, dogs on medication, and large or strong breeds. This service is not a training program. I do not board reactive dogs that have not been trained through this program, this included dogs that have not been crated before. Please reach out for help with training this. Dog training is my full time job and I work from home, so your dog isn't alone waiting for me to get back from an office. I'm here all day, every day. I send video updates daily so you know how they're doing, and I'm reachable by text or email if you want to check in. I have four acres. Two are fully fenced, so dogs get real off-leash room to run in a secure space. The other two are wooded and unfenced with a couple of running streams. I treat boarding dogs the way I treat my own, which means the same basic house expectations: sitting before the door opens, waiting to be released, calm manners around food. It isn't formal training and I don't charge for it or promise it as a service, it's just how my house runs. That said, owners fairly often tell me their dog came home a little easier to live with.
