“Crystal was awesome and the perfect sitter for my Eskie "Scooter". I could tell on our last minute "Meet and Greet" that she was really special and was likely the perfect fit for my dog and during his weekend stay, she kept me up to date on how he was doing and behaving since this was Scooter's first trial with a "Sitter" rather than the old traditional boarding where he always came home tired, hungry and somewhat dehydrated. Crystal went out of her way to make Scooter feel like he has a second home and as a result, I plan to book again with her several more times in the oncoming months. She was a straight up blessing for me and my little man who has gone through so much since losing his "Mama" in 2012. He was raised by us in his initial year during Covid not being around a lot of people and/or other dogs, and not being around kids although he's been such a good mannered dog. About: I have helped with animals my whole life. We’ve had cats, dogs, chickens, rabbits, parakeets. I enjoy playing and taking care of them. My friends have paid me to watch their homes and pets while they were out of town. About: Homeport - Indoor accommodation for your pet with large wooded lot on a private road in Harris County. A large deck to lay in the sunshine on pretty afternoons. Indoors we have an open floor plan that the pets are free to roam in. The pets are free or crated overnight based on your preference. We have a 7 pound Yorkie Poo who gets along with our houseguests, dogs or cats! We should have a meet and greet prior to them checking in at Homeport. We can schedule a meet and greet at my home for you and your pup to meet me and I y’all. I’ll be very flexible on the schedule of that. I walk them twice a day if your babies are accustomed to leash walking and have them out on the deck with other guests for playtime twice a day. You will receive at least one picture of their romping or napping everyday. I charge by the calendar day. The day you pick up (or I pick up) your pet and the day you drop off (or I drop them off) are both days that I have to accommodate you and your pet into my schedule and pet care is provided.I offer the service of taking your pet home the day of your arrival so that they will be there when you arrive home. Please let me know when you make your reservations what times you wish to schedule for pickup/drop-off and give me at least 24 hours notice if you need to make changes. If your dog is not fully house trained or has any accidents during their stay there is a $5 per day charge. All pets must be neutered and spayed. They must be dog friendly. For your protection, all pets are screened prior to acceptance. If pets are not picked up by closing they will board over night at owners expense. All pets will be checked for fleas and ticks. If any pet comes in with fleas or ticks, a bath might be required. All dogs must be up to date on shots Rabies, Dhlpp & Bordetella Pet care and boarding is my primary occupation. My entire day and night is focused on caring for your family member. We may go for a walk around my neighborhood or they may be in the yard with me while I work in my garden. On days that aren’t nice they will be comfortable napping wherever they are most comfortable. Guests are treated as at home and fed and exercised according to your instructions. Often I feed them white skinless chicken breast if no allergies.

About: I’ve been around and caring for dogs for more than 20 years. My love and experience with dogs started at home—my dad was a dog trainer who worked with his own dogs as well as dogs belonging to friends and family. Growing up around that experience taught me how to understand canine behavior, respect each dog’s individual personality, and provide patient, attentive care. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs, and I especially love being outdoors. Hiking, nature trails, and exploring the outdoors are some of my favorite things to do, so when appropriate, I love taking the dogs in my care along for an enjoyable walk or adventure. Pet care fits well into my schedule, and I’m available Sunday through Thursday from 9 AM to 5 PM EST. I provide pet care at the owner’s home through dog walks and drop-in visits. Check-ins can include potty breaks, feeding, fresh water, playtime, and companionship. “Mary Grace was a godsend to our family. Our beloved and notoriously mischievous 11 year old /70lb shepherd mix is prone to stress and can’t be comfortably boarded in a facility. He is also getting older, so he struggles with separation anxiety and requires frequent walks and intellectual stimulation. Mary Grace was a perfect fit. She is extremely competent and conscientious. She met both Ranger’s needs as a full time companion (walks, feeding, engaging) and my needs as a concerned parent (pictures, updates, etc). It’s the first time we’ve traveled in years that I was not constantly worried about Ranger. I would not hesitate to book with her again or to recommend her to others. She is amazing and I’m so grateful for how well she cared for our boy.”
“We were looking for an option for dog boarding that wasn’t a kennel. I took our dog to meet Johnnica and her dogs to see if it would be a good fit. It felt like a great fit and our dog had a great weekend playing with her dogs and a couple other boarding dogs. I also appreciated the flexibility in coordinating drop off and pick up times. Kennels tend to have very restrictive hours for that and we didn’t want to have our dog stay an extra night away from us if it wasn’t necessary. While we were able to be there by 5pm she was flexible.”
