I have loved and cared for my own pets for decades, and have spent the past 5 years caring for others' furry family members. I'm an experienced dog walker and trainer, and am comfortable walking dogs of all sizes. I have 3 years of experience training dogs and puppies, including working with reactive and fearful pups. Regardless of your dog's particular quirks, they are welcome here! I am an experienced foster, dog walker, and trainer for the local humane society. I am confident managing dogs with behavioral issues, including reading body language, and keeping dogs separate from other animals if they require that. I am comfortable giving medication, both orally and via injections, and I will give patient and loving care to your sick or senior dogs who need a little extra love. I am happy to keep up with any training while you're away (be it puppy training, potty training, obedience work, or leash manners.) I treat all my dog guests like part of the family, and your dogs are welcome to join the pack while they are here, any day of the week! I work full-time, but always come home for an hour at lunchtime to care for and tend to the dogs. Everyone gets a walk and yard time before I head to work, and plenty of playtime and attention when I get home. Dogs are never left for more than 4 hours. What your dog can expect: 🐕🦺Leash walks! Your dog will enjoy at least one solid walk every day (either on his own, or joining my two dogs for a pack walk). 🦴🥎 Secure Playtime! Your dog will love romping and playing in my fenced backyard, lounging under the trees, and splashing in the doggy pool. All playtimes are well-supervised, to ensure everyone is well-mannered and safe. 💤 Quiet private space: There are two doggy guest suites set up in my home, complete with their own bed, crate, food & water dishes. This ensures that your dog can relax during naptimes, meal-times, and bedtimes, without any other pups bothering them. 🏠 Part of the family When your dogs are here, they're part of the pack, and I'll care for them just like my own dogs. This means equal access to couches, dog beds, belly rubs, and frisbees. About: As an experienced dog & house rabbit owner and credentialed veterinary technician (FL), I understand that every pet and species needs vary. I am excited to work you as a pet parent to find out what works for you and your pets individual needs. Your dog will be with someone consistently thru their stay with potty breaks, walks, cuddles, and playtime as they enjoy. My partner works from home and my time is spent caring for dogs, tending our garden, and painting pet portrait commissions. I have a fenced in yard and a friendly dog (yellow lab) that can keep your dog company or be kept separate if needed. We can easily accommodate a crate in quiet spaces or more central based on what your pet is used to. My goal is to make my home feel as familiar as their own. I do require all dogs staying in my home to, at minimum, be up-to-date on their Rabies and Distemper/Parvo (DAPP) vaccinations and be on flea prevention (I’m happy to provide resources where these are accessible if needed). I have loved and cared for my own pets for decades, and have spent the past 5 years caring for others' furry family members. I was only looking for a sitter for a quick trip over the weekend, and hoping that they would be patient enough with a dog which I just adopted from the shelter with who knows what trauma he had; I landed on a professional! This was my first experience and a pleasant one as well! FYI this is not a drop off service! I appreciated the time that Joshua took to ask me as much as I knew about my "new" dog. After a couple of minutes he says “he has dog in him", which for me meant that he accepts and was looking forward to getting to know him.
