About: I’ve lived in a multiple animal household my whole life. Now I have 3 pups of my own and 2 outdoor cats that come first. I work full-time but am available before 8 am, lunch break from 12-1, and after 5 pm through the week and all day during weekends I have a fenced in yard. Dogs are welcome to go in and out as they please, roam common areas, and take naps wherever, whenever.

I currently own 2 dogs (1 aussie and 1 recently rescued great pyreneese) , 2 cats, 4 horses and 2 reptiles of my own. About: In the past 15 years, I’ve taken care of our own cats plus multiple litters of foster care cats from our local feline shelter. I’ve administered medication, treated wounds, bottle fed babies and hand fed elderly cats or made slurrys for them when they were not feeling well. I enjoy playing with cats and brushing/grooming them. Litter boxes must be scooped and maintained twice a day and all of it gets tossed out once a week at least. This is something I take seriously because I don’t want the home to smell like a litter box, but I also don’t want the cats to have to use a dirty litter box if it can be helped. I’ve also worked closely over the last two years with my daughter helping her build her pet care business.

About: To comfort any animal brings comfort to myself. I have experience with all kinds of pets and love all animals but cats are what you’d find in my home. It’s a common misconception that cats don’t require much attention but as a domesticated animal they thrive on human companionship while also having many natural instincts to accommodate. Some require more attention than others depending on their personality. One of the most important instincts to satisfy is the need to hunt/play. There are some automatic or interactive toys that work well but for the most part the best toy is something on the end of a string attached to a wand/rod and their human’s participation. This way you can mimic the evasive movements of an actual prey for your cat to hunt. This provides exercise and stimulation and I would be happy to play with your cat(s) I’m very good at befriending anxious or less trusting cats and identifying the things that exacerbate their anxiety and finding solutions to comfort them. I also have experience administering medications. With a cat the easiest route of administration is a liquid solution mixed in with some wet food or treat or squirted into the back side of the mouth with an oral syringe. Giving a cat a pill can be more difficult but it can be done. I would wrap them in a towel or blanket, lubricate pill so it doesn’t stick to fingers or tongue, tilt head back and insert pill into back of the mouth, return head to level position and rub their throat and/or slightly blow on the nose to stimulate swallowing reflexes, then give them a treat and love them! When possible I scoop our 3 cats’ boxes after every use. I’m happy to clean and scoop your cat’s box(es) with the same vigilance. A clean litter box is one factor in ensuring a healthy and happy cat!

About: I can’t remember a time in my life I haven’t had at least 4 or 5 dogs around me. My family calls me a dog whisperer. I currently walk my own dogs a mile or two every other day, with them being walked on the property every 4 hours for exercise. I live on 8 acres with woods so plenty of room for dogs to run around and play. I currently do not have a fenced in yard, but have multiple tether setups and/or long line leashes to walk dogs on and let them roam a bit while controlled. My 2 dogs are males who are friendly with others and love to play outside in the backyard. Since I am home during the day, all animals get lots of cuddles in my house (allowed on furniture) and constant interaction of bones, toys, tug of war, toys etc. I do have separate areas that dogs can be crated in alone if preferred. I do also have 2 cats that are dog friendly but have their own room they can be closed off in if needed.
