I put boarding in quotations because quite honestly, our dog got to be part of Charity’s family for the week, and it probably felt more like a spa and playful summer camp to our dog than boarding. We usually send our dog to stay with family or friends the one time per year we actually get to leave town. So we were anxious sending her off via Rover for our first time. Charity is super sweet, kind, clearly loves animals, and definitely knows how to handle them. Our anxieties were immediately at ease when we met her and her family. She further eased them with daily photo updates, and she even wiped our dog’s eyes with warm towels due to some allergies! Ya’ll, this dog had it better during boarding than she did on our farm. Our dog is a husky and though pretty chill for that breed, I’m 100% confident in Charity and trusting in all her abilities to handle and care for any pup. She loved on our dog like it was her own. She also was very flexible when our flight home was delayed and we had to extend an additional night. We certainly recommend her and would definitely use her again.”

About: I have been a client on Rover for a long time. I’ve had many sitters watch my dogs and come in and out of my house. It was always so nerve wracking! Are they trustworthy? Do my dogs like them? Are they getting to my house on time to let my dogs out to go to the bathroom and to feed them? Are they being gentle with my dogs? About: I am an animal lover. I have pets of my own of all kinds. My kids love animals. I can give medication as I had a pet with seizures. Only dogs, will not give medicine to cats. I do have three kids. Ages 4 year old , 6 year and a 8 year old. All were raised around animals no issues. No allergies. I do have cats in home that have their own room so can easily be separated, I own two dogs but they are outside fenced in dogs. Will not interact with any animal I watch. About: Hi everyone! Quick update: I understand most people travel home on Sundays, however, it is difficult to take late night appointments and feel rested for the work week. So, I will no longer be taking appointments past 6pm on Sundays unless approved. Also, please be courteous to me, our animals and other pet parents. If you are unable to make it within 15 minutes of your scheduled appointment time, please keep me informed and confirm I am in fact still available. Please remember this is our private home and not a facility. That comes with a lot of benefits, but some limitations as well. I’ve had a love for animals all my life and have been taking care of various animals since I was a young child. Growing up we had cats, many different dog breeds and even some goats. I’ve raised puppies with different needs such as English Bulldogs, dogue de bordeaux, Belgian Malinois and mixes just the same. My husband and I have a dog and a cat in the home that are our fur babies. I have a clientele of regulars and would love to make more connections over Rover. While I pride myself on my care for animals, I also work with our boarding dogs on simple training. For example, having my dogs around works well to help them with distractions, recall, simple commands and house manners. I am home all day with my little girl and our animals. Since I work from home, I will keep your dog on any required schedule such as medications, supplements, specific feeding times, and potty breaks. Playtimes and naptimes will be intermittent throughout the day. I have comfy doggie beds throughout the house and under my office desk. My home is clean and safe. I have a secure, fenced in yard with many areas to explore and space to run around. All gates are padlocked. I also stay outside with the dogs that are in my care. I leave a full bowl of water out 24 -7. I allow dogs to sleep in my bed if that is what they are accustomed to, I can also crate them if that is preferred. Your dog(s) will be safe and happy as guests in my home. I have a Red Cross Certification in Pet First Aid in the rare occasion there would be a need. I am also sensitive to dogs with thunder and firework fears, we have a comfy furnished basement space that mutes the bad sounds and we hang out there until everything calms down.

About: Hi, I’m Charity! Having had animals all my life, I truly have a deep love and respect for them. To this day, one of my most favorite jobs was my very first job in high school at a dog boarding facility a short four wheel drive through our woods. My responsibilities there were to let dogs out, love on, clean/sanitize kennels, feed and administer medications, and clean up the dog yards. I gained so much experience with different breeds while there, which made me fall more in love with dogs specifically. As an adult, my first dog was a West Highland Terrier named Gabby that my then fiancé (now husband) surprised me with. She sadly passed at 14.5 years old in October of 2024. We also have bench bred/English Labradors named Abel & Jett. Jett is the first dog I’ve had that I got involved with dog shows and sports with. He has multiple titles from obedience, dock diving, fast cat, conformation, and hunt tests. I am a stay at home mom which allows me the freedom to be available for your dog majority of the day aside from when I need to run errands. BOARDING: We have a spacious home on a culdesac with a large fenced in backyard. When caring for pets in my home, it is incredibly important to me to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and well-loved while providing lots of snuggles and play time. Daily updates of how your dog is doing along with pictures are sent to help keep your mind at ease. During a client dog’s stay, they will be on the main floor with our family. We have a basement with access to the backyard complete with a dog room furnished with 3 4ft x 6ft kennels, Kuranda beds, & orthopedic beds that my personal dogs will utilize, and is available for client dogs as well if needed. I also have a baby gate on our laundry room doorway off the kitchen that can be used for client dogs to have their own private space. This allows me to ensure every dog stays safe when not supervised. *I typically only board one client at a time. This allows your dog(s) to get all the attention and, I believe, have an easier transition staying in a new place vs there being multiple dogs from different clients. If a ‘regular’ requests the same dates, I will sometimes make an exception and let both families know there will be an additional dog. With my home set up, I am able to comfortably keep several client dogs separated and will only allow interaction between them with the approval of both families. DROP INS: During drop-in visits, our time is spent going out in their backyard for potty breaks and play, going on walks, getting loved on, and fed if needed. Any quick tidying I can do in the house (vacuuming, mop up if it’s muddy outside, wipe down counters, scoop out a litter box, etc) I am happy to do as well.

I got Rex, a Golden Retriever/ Labrador Retriever mix, when he was just seven weeks old. He is now my 12 year old fur baby. I wouldn't trade my life with him for anything in the world. I hope my Care and Compassion Fur Companions will ease the pain of separation while you're away from your beloved fur babies; and, know they'll be in loving hands. I work from home so there will be frequent snuggles and potty breaks. It's easiest to do meet and greets in the evening or weekend, but can accommodate a mid-week lunch time meet up if needed. I have a 3 sided fenced yard and my boy, Rex, to help keep your pup company while they are away from their pet parents.
About: I've lived with animals since my birth, practically grown on a farm I've been around nearly every animal across the USA. Cats, dogs, bunnies, rodents, and more. Scaley or furry I will do my best to care for them As of now I am searching for a job, so I'm free practically 24/7. I just recently moved! And I'm still getting some things moved over. So depending on the time, I might need some leniency. I am very patient with animals, so whether they have an attitude, personal space issues, or have accidents a lot, I'll be by their side through the entire visit
About: I’ve taken care of several dogs over the years from small to big. Their size is not an issue to me and I’m able to work with them inside or outside no problem. I am in college, so I have a lot of free time. My schedule is very flexible, and I am able to adjust to your pets usual schedule. I have years of experience caring for my family and neighbors pets, including small and large dogs and multiple cats. I guarantee your pets safety while I care for them.

About: My mom has been a dog sitter for years, so I have seen every color of fur on the couches and floors. I do have 2 cats, 1 senior shih tzu, and a shorkie that has an excessive amount of energy. I recently had a part time job that fit perfectly with my school schedule. This year my school schedule is a little unique and after awhile I felt over worked. I chose to work with animals because I like their presence, and it doesn’t feel like a job. I have 4 animals that live in my house. 2 cats, and 2 dogs. It is very organized in my home because we have a routine. When I come into a clients home I do what’s best for their pets, and if possible stick to their routine.

“Charity and her family are awesome humans. This was our first time “boarding” our dog. I put boarding in quotations because quite honestly, our dog got to be part of Charity’s family for the week, and it probably felt more like a spa and playful summer camp to our dog than boarding. We usually send our dog to stay with family or friends the one time per year we actually get to leave town. So we were anxious sending her off via Rover for our first time. Charity is super sweet, kind, clearly loves animals, and definitely knows how to handle them. Our anxieties were immediately at ease when we met her and her family. She further eased them with daily photo updates, and she even wiped our dog’s eyes with warm towels due to some allergies! Ya’ll, this dog had it better during boarding than she did on our farm. Our dog is a husky and though pretty chill for that breed, I’m 100% confident in Charity and trusting in all her abilities to handle and care for any pup. She loved on our dog like it was her own. She also was very flexible when our flight home was delayed and we had to extend an additional night. We certainly recommend her and would definitely use her again.”
