Unlike my vet who boards them in small kennels, they had the run of his yard, part of inside the house, and romped constantly with his friendly dogs. Ray sent me pictures periodically showing them playing. When I picked them up they were happy and smelled good (which is rare); Ray even outfitted them with colorful bandanas. Highly recommend! I believe in scooping a litter box EVERY day and in enrichment time, especially for indoor babies. I have 2 five year old cats that get along with my 2 dogs (1 senior, 1 puppy). Both cats are rescues & I fostered their entire litter, but wound up keeping 2. My mother worked in veterinary medicine and I am well versed in kitten & senior care. Working at a rescue and a grooming salon gives you so much experience to learn more about each breed and each dog. About: I have been taking care of dogs and cats ages birth through 18 years old for 10 years. I have experience with all sizes and temperaments of animals from gentle giants to high energy littles. I have experience with dog bite and fight prevention and control, medication administration, high energy dogs, high prey drive dogs, shy dogs and cats, and special needs dogs and cats. I worked in a grooming salon, so I am trained to bathe, brush, nail trim and grind, and other basic grooming tasks on cats and dogs. About: I’ve loved dogs for as long as I could remember, I’ve been around them since I was a child. In high school I started volunteering at the Humane Society of Greater Miami, helping around the shelter initially until being requested to become a foster and completing the training. Animals are so pure to me, they just want love and it speaks to my soft spot because working at the shelter and fostering I saw a lot of dogs with broken spirits, but I loved being apart of their bounce back. I go for regular walks and can work out a schedule for mid -day potty breaks if necessary on a working day. I prefer in-home visits for your animals. I can come up to 3 times a day (more if needed), go on regular, short or long walks, and spend plenty of time with your animals. I believe in scooping litter boxes EVERY day. I have a Dalmatian puppy that enjoys all other animals if your dog would like company on an outing. I can administer medication orally, topically, or through injections. I'm well versed in senior and puppy care and capable of lifting 50+ lbs. My dogs are professionally trained by a certified trainer and I know how to use most types of collars (E-Collar, prong, etc) properly. I can bathe your dog or deliver them to a groomer of your choice. I have my own car & extra crates and carriers if necessary. For boarding, I have a fenced in yard & 2 dogs of my own, both fully trained, vaccinated, & friendly with other trained dogs. I have secluded rooms (with sound machines & a/c) for crating dogs while at work.

About: I’ve worked at the rescue in my hometown for a few years now, I’ve worked in 2 different grooming salons, and have also been involved with some vets. Working at a rescue and a grooming salon gives you so much experience to learn more about each breed and each dog. You get to learn everything about each sweetheart so we’ll over time that you also start to love them like they’re you’re own. I had to deal with almost every experience when it comes to pets as well. I love dogs so very much they have such a soft place in my heart and it’s always great to get to learn about their owners as well when they’re steady customers! Boarding and grooming is something I do full time on my own, I’m home all the time unless I need to run and errand or two. Your pets will get lots and lots of attention their whole stay! I worked at Indian Peaks Veterinary Hospital for 2 years, as a foster provider for Life is Better Rescues in 2014, and as a intern for marine mammals in Peru during the summer of 2016. We also had a meet-and-greet prior to their stay, which was helpful to ensure it would be a good fit. She has a wonderful fenced yard for the dogs to run in that she keeps well maintained. Arnelia provides training and grooming during their stay and was able to quickly pick up on their training needs. The dogs seemed very happy while they were there.
