My two cats are finicky eaters and will only eat what they want. Amber handled the medications and special diets like a pro and kept me up to date in great detail while I was away. She took care of my babies like they were her own and that made me feel very stress-free being away from them. I would highly recommend Amber and will definitely use her in the future.”
About: I’ve stayed in households with many pets from reptiles to dogs and cats. I’ve house sat many times for pets. And I’d like to think animals like me as much as I like them Currently a college football who has a lot of free time in the off season and on weekends. About: As long as I can remember, I’ve had a cat. Whether that was inside, outside, the neighbors (I thought was my cat too). Cats are very different from dogs and require different needs as well. Although, some cats act like dogs! We love those along with the ones that sometimes get attitudes too!

About: I grew up with a poodle and later was closely involved in a household that cared for a large number of show dogs in a structured, organized setting. This gave me strong experience with daily routines, behavior, and maintaining a calm, well-managed environment. Now I have a retired Shiba Inu — the friendliest you’ll meet. I work from home, so I’m able to provide consistent supervision and regular care throughout the day. Dogs follow a predictable routine with potty breaks every 2–4 hours, quiet indoor time, and outdoor time in a secure fenced yard. Your dog will stay in a clean, calm home with a fenced yard and a safe, structured environment. I keep the number of dogs limited to maintain a low-stress atmosphere and avoid overcrowding. Dogs are supervised, and I follow consistent routines to help them feel secure. For everyone’s safety, I accept calm, well-mannered dogs and recommend a meet & greet before first bookings. Crating can be used if needed, depending on the dog’s habits and comfort.
About: I have had many dogs throughout my life. I was unbelievably sad when my last one died, so I am not ready for another pup just yet. So for now, yours will have to do! I like dogs of all shapes and sizes and have my own experience with complicated dog-life situations. My last one (a Bassett Hound named Mugsey) went through chemo for cancer, became diabetic and blind, aaaand deaf, aaand then developed urinary incontinence. I built him ramps for the couch and the bed. I gave him insulin injections for 2+ years. I fed him at psychotically specific times per day and with very precise amounts of food (ugh, diabetes). And I loved him just as much through those tough times as I did when he was healthy. I love all dogs more than most people and it would be great to take care of some again from time to time. Oh, and I made a trail that goes down to a river/creek from my backyard, and a big trail along the creek. Dogs love it, and so do I! I'll put up a big fence in the yard eventually, but for now... leash walks whenever the dog/dogs want to go! Also, I moved here from Houston about a year ago, and am just getting around to Rover'ing here. The pictures on my profile are in that old house. I'll update soon with new ones here. Thanks!! With always having pets of my own, my mom worked at an animal hospital that I would be at on Saturdays so I was always around other peoples pets. I am a stay at home mom and need some extra income. I.have a big, active, rescue weimaraner who has severe separation anxiety and is on medication for this. She is a bit high maintenance… needs lots of love and attention. Gretchen and Marc took such good care of her and sent lots of updates and pics. Clearly she loved being there, and I was able to relax and enjoy my vacation knowing she was just fine! I will definitely plan my future vacations around their availability!”
“Ryan and his family are lovely people and took excellent care of my dog. They have a young Aussie who was also sweet and my dog came back to me very relaxed and happy (and very tired after all the fun!). Ryan offered to bathe my dog after he got dirty on a hike, which was very thoughtful. He sent frequent photos and kept me in the loop with everything, which put me at ease after having a poor experience with a previous Rover dog sitter. I couldn’t recommend this family enough! “Johanna and Jerald took wonderful care of our two dogs while we were away. They were so kind and caring and sent pictures throughout the week to keep us updated on how they were doing. Their dogs got along great with our two and we just couldn’t have asked for anything better. They were treated so well, we were afraid they might not want to come home! We received pictures almost daily and our dog had the opportunity to run and play with other dogs at the property. He showed no signs of anxiety or stress upon his return and looked great.
