“I just have to say James and his wife De are AMAZING! We just moved in to town and we’re looking for a dog sitter due to a long trip that we had planned prior to our move. I am always hesitant leaving my pups with new sitters, but during the meet and greet at James’ house, I was instantly set at ease. He reassured the pups would be well taken care of while we were gone and I have to say he went above and beyond. He sent multiple pictures throughout each day and sent message updates to let me know how they were doing. He even spoiled them with extra treats (asked me first of course) and I know they loved it! If you’re feeling any bit of hesitation leaving your pups with someone new I can’t recommend James enough! About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and have raised them from playful puppies through old age. About 10 years ago, while working as a nanny, I also cared for two energetic husky mixes — from daily walks and playtime to feeding and snuggles. I have experience with dogs of all ages, from the patience and training puppies need to the gentle care older dogs deserve. No matter their age or personality, I’ll love and treat your dog like my own. I work from home, so I’m available Monday–Friday from 8 AM to 5:30 PM. During the day, I usually take 2–3 ten-minute walks and also have time for play in my fenced-in backyard or plenty of cuddle breaks inside. On weekends, I offer boarding with drop-offs anytime after 8 AM on Fridays and pick-ups through 5:30 PM on Mondays. I have a fully fenced-in backyard with 6-foot privacy fencing and gates set up to keep dogs out of anything unsafe. Since I work from home upstairs, dogs will be gated with me so I can always keep an eye on them. If you have an older pup who shouldn’t do stairs, just let me know and I’ll happily adjust to work downstairs with them. On weekends, any errands I run are kept under 2 hours, and I can crate your dog if that makes you more comfortable. I also love sending picture and video updates so you can see how much fun your pup is having while you’re away!

About: I have helped my brother take care of his Rover bookings in the past while he and I lived together. He and I took care of many different types of animals including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, tortoises, and even a pot belly pig. My family has always been an animal loving family. We have always had at least one cat and/or dog in our homes. I currently live with my mother, and I recently had my dog cross the rainbow bridge, so I thought this would be a good way to help cope. About: I have had dogs and cats my entire life and have taken care of them my whole life! I have also taken care of neighbors pets for several years now and just looking to do so in my new home. I care for horses in my day to day and I love them and wish I could board them but I need a much bigger space for that! So in the meantime, I have a spare room where crated dogs could stay or cats! About: *Update: In regards to the new weekly feature, I can only do so in YOUR home. I am a cat person but I also love dogs. I'm an equal opportunist lol . I've taken care of cats, dogs, even hamsters, fish and plants for neighbors, friends, family and later on for clients through apps like these. I started taking care of pets at age 10 which was around the same time I got my cat, Allegra. I loved her like my own child. We would even take walks together. She lived a good 14 years but that of course was still too short for me. She was a family member to me, not just a cat. She was even kind to the random strays I would bring home and be forced to return lol. I also grew up with my dog Angel (pictured). She lived for 14 years too. Her last few years were rough and she was on a lot of medications. I have experience administering those. We had to put her down and that was such a hard decision. Another family member lost. I'm still proud that they both lived long lives. I've had other cats short term since then. I adopted a black cat, Maleficent Marie, in February 2023 and shes my new fur baby. I started using Rover in 2018 when it first started but deactivated because I lived in areas that didn't use the app at all. I can't wait to meet your pet and I'll make them a priority like they're family! I'm currently working part time and have a very flexible schedule so I have plenty of time to drop in or even stay with your furry family members. With atleast a 4 hour notice, last minute bookings will have a one-time fee of $40. When you're away, I know how important it is to stay connected and informed. That's why I provide regular updates, time-stamped check-ins, and immediate communication if anything feels out of the ordinary. If there’s ever any concern or question, I’m always just a message away, ready to provide reassurance. Your peace of mind is just as important to me as your pet's happiness.
About: I have had dogs in my life from the time I was 8 years old. I am 60 now. I have been a dog trainer for over 20 years and know the importance of exercise and impulse control. Lack of exercise is one of the main contributors to "destruction" in and around the house. If I am walking your dog, we are walking - not sniffing around. I am pretty fit for an old man! With other client's dogs, I can generally walk a mile in 17-20 minutes. If I am boarding, I will "entertain" your pup with games, walks, fetch and plenty of other outside time as much as possible. I live on a nice quiet street that will be safe for them. Give me a call to get things set up for your pooch! I have had dogs off and on (mostly on) since I was 8 years old. A daily routine to take care of dogs is nothing new to me. In fact, it is important to me to have a structured schedule for feeding, potty time, playtime, etc. so the time is easier on human and canine. I try to have a pretty rigid schedule so the dog knows what’s going on and approximately when it will take place. Daily walks and/or play time is daily on my quiet street or in my fenced in backyard. Taking care of dogs is basically what I do 24/7. I am a dog trainer so basically dogs, not just my own, are my life and my livelihood. I have a fenced yard and a dog of my own. I will not just open the door and let the dogs run out to play. I am out there with them every step of the way. I am mindful about whether certain dogs get along or not. I am very meticulous in my care.

From meeting Richard and his wife, at the "meet and greet" and the questions they ask and just the overall interest about my little guy made me feel more comfortable about my planned trip. I absolutely loved the daily updates as well-seeing him play, interact and make new friend really did my heart good. The funniest thing is that once home, he slept good for 2 days....wore himself out! She's the only sitter who offered to meet at a dog park so our fur babies could warm up to her before we dropped them off. She was even kind enough to send us updates, photos, and video chat!
