About: I have only owned a cat once, but I have had him for 3 years. I got him when he was 6 weeks old so I have plenty of experience with kittens and older cats. I hate the smell of litter boxes so I usually clean it every day but deep clean and refresh the litter once a week. I loveeee cats and would probably end up sitting there playing with them for hours. Even at petsmart, I catch myself sitting with the kitties for an hour or two.

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life, so caring for them comes very naturally to me. I have years of experience walking dogs in my neighborhood. I’d love the chance to get to know and care for your dogs too! When I was younger I volunteered with the Humane Society and also spent time fostering both dogs and cats whenever I could. About: I have taken care of pets of all kinds since I was 11/12 years old. I have a strong love for fur babies and find it very easy to connect with them. I’m a psychology major at Augusta University and currently work as an RBT supporting autistic children, which has made me patient, attentive, and very comfortable building trust through positive reinforcement. I’ve loved dogs my entire life, especially after owning and training my German Shepherd for 8 years, and I now have a puppy of my own who keeps me enjoying daily walks, park time, and training every day. (For boarding, she would stay with my family so your pet would have my full attention and a calm space.) I especially like working on basic positive reinforcement with treats or a clicker when wanted. I love petting and getting to know every dog I see, so any chance to spend time with dogs is something I genuinely enjoy. I have open availability! Sometimes I may have an appointment or time commitment, but generally I am free throughout the week. I don’t have any scheduling or preference issues with overnight, extended, or evening hours either. I live in a townhome with a fenced patio. The patio has dirt/grass for going potty, a concrete center, and a backdoor that opens to a walking path. I have two floors with the bottom floor being hardwood (accident friendly!). For crate-preferred pets I have a 48in kennel (deep cleaned before and after use), or if crate-averse there is a guest bedroom that would be situated. I bring my own doggy bags and leash, but can use whatever is preferred. If desired I also have Buddy Trainers mini training treats that can be used for positively reinforcing your pet. My default approach is to focus primarily on your pet’s comfort rather than training, with the option of passive training being added into that approach. If boarding, I could take your pet on walks around the very dog-pro community where there are consistently opportunities to socialize, explore, and play in the paths available. Also with boarding my puppy would not share the space and would be at my family’s throughout your pet’s stay. Regardless of whether your pet is boarding at my home or if sitting at your’s, I have no problem deep (and properly) cleaning any accidents that come up. My approach with all pets, especially dogs, is positive reinforcement through doing things they enjoy. I try to set your pet up for success by matching their energy and minimizing any reason to feel anxious, sized up, or uncomfortable in general.

I work to ensure that a pet who is not allowed outside a certain door stays inside. “I needed a sitter last minute and my regular sitter was out of town. Janai was very accommodating at sitting up a meet and greet and took the time to introduce Mickey to all of her dogs one by one. Mickey is VERY skittish and scared of new people but meeting her dogs helped him relax some. I was nervous leaving him with a new sitter but Janai was very good at communicating and sending me pictures. She also added on bathing and nail trim to his services with my permission, so he was fresh and clean when I picked him up. Will definitely bring him back in the future!”

About: I have taken care of pets of all kinds since I was 11/12 years old. I have a strong love for fur babies and find it very easy to connect with them. I’m no dog whisperer (maybe lol) but I do feel that I have a sixth sense that helps me to understand their needs without verbal communication to help for a smoother experience. I am currently working full time from home so I have unlimited availability and the flexibility needed to work with each and every pets needs. I currently live in an apartment that is very pet friendly. We have huge fields all around the buildings for running and playing. I do have a small dog and cat myself perfect for keeping your pets company. Both pets are dog/cat friendly and would love to share our home with tour fur babies!!
