About: I’ve always been able to build trust with animals pretty quickly. Even my friend’s antisocial cat, Charlie, can attest to that! My friend was so surprised when he willingly sat in my lap that she snapped a picture, and it’s one of my first photos. While I’m definitely a cat lover, I actually grew up with dogs. I raised my second beagle, Ginger, from the time she was just six weeks old and woke up every two hours to take her outside while she was potty training. Since then, I’ve pet sat for dogs, cats, and even a slightly mean but adorable pair of pet rats. About: I've had dogs my entire life and have experience caring for dogs of all sizes and ages. Unfortunately, my family dog recently passed away, which only deepened my appreciation for the love and companionship pets bring into our lives. I recently graduated from Florida State University and regularly volunteered at Champs Chance Rescue in Tallahassee, where I helped care for dogs of different breeds, ages, and temperaments. I also fostered a dog this past semester, which gave me valuable experience providing consistent care and helping a dog adjust to a new environment. I also work part-time as a Pilates instructor, which is typically only a 6–10 hour commitment each week, and my schedule is very flexible. Because of this, I have plenty of time to provide attentive care, companionship, walks, and playtime for your pet throughout the day. My home is a safe and pet-friendly environment with plenty of space for your dog to feel comfortable. I have a pet ferret who stays in his cage, and I am able to crate your dog if needed. I also have a screened-in pool area and live in a gated neighborhood with lots of green space that's perfect for walks. I will take night shifts to make sure your best friend is safe and sound overnight if they can't be left unattended. Will make sure your dog will have plenty of outside time to do their biddings at least four times a day depending on the dog. I'll also follow the feeding instructions closely and make sure there is always fresh clean water for them. Will only give them the treats you allow and do my best to keep them out of harm's way if they like to get into "extra calories" On request, I can also assist with Dog Grooming, (using hair clippers, brushing and bathing) Nail Trimming, Brushing their teeth. Clean their ears and other basic grooming needs for them as long as they allow it. I have a lot of experience with that.

I’m also a registered nurse and am comfortable giving meds including insulin injections for diabetic pups. I’m currently working part time as a registered nurse so I’ll have plenty of time to care for and play with your furry friends. I only work two days a week and, while variable, I promise to let you know what days I’m working long in advance so we can coordinate appropriately. As a nurse, I am very familiar with medication administration and the need for round-the-clock care for dogs with certain medical conditions. I am also very flexible with my own routine to be able to cater to what your fur baby is used to.
