“Maxine is wonderful! I was nervous about the idea of dropping off my fur baby with a stranger for a week but Maxine really cares about the animals she dogsits. From the moment I started texting her I knew she was the one I could feel comfortable leaving my Bella with. Not only did she give Bella her meds and keep up with her feeding schedule and potty breaks, she loved her as if she was her pet. She cuddled with her and took several super adorable photos and shared them with me throughout the week. I would absolutely call Maxine again to look after Bell for me and know she was loved and taken care of. He reacted quickly, he put the dog's needs first in what I'm sure was an overwhelming and scary situation. We were completely stressing out since we had traveled away and only got the messages the next morning, but he made sure to send pictures, give us updates and call with news. It was not a good time for anyone, so if he decides to keep dog-sitting (hopefully!), I would trust him 100% with your pups, cause it was obvious he cared throughout.”

About: Started dog-walking/-sitting in my pre-teens. Owned 3 dogs during this time (two part-Lab and one Great Dane. All rescues). Kept a small, growing business which consisted of walking or being paid to stay a week with a dog. This continued until early 20s. Have since continued to sit family's, friends', and family friends' dogs over the years. No matter the size or breed I always manage to find a friend in new dogs. Epileptic, old, and those requiring medicine are not a problem. Whether or not they adhere to commands isn't a problem. I've had very obedient dogs and known many that ran the house. Either way, we'll get along fine. I'm never out of the house for long. Maybe 4 hours max, but rarely more than 2. Our old lady used to need a lot of attention, so I'm used to life revolving around a dog upon entry, before leaving, and taking a break every 30 minutes to give some love. Fenced in yard. We have a designated spot in a public walkway for food and water but can move as needs depict. Doors to back rooms are shut when not being used. Nothing heavy or sharp that can fall or come in contact with your pet. We had a 17.5 year old so the house was made as safe as possible for her.

I can offer private time and separation at any point, and I’m happy to follow your dog’s normal routines and boundaries. Dogs can sleep crated, in a safe room, or in another arrangement you prefer. I also have two stable, friendly medium-sized dogs. If your dog enjoys social time, we can do carefully managed introductions and supervised play. If your dog prefers space—or does best as a solo guest—I can absolutely accommodate that too. One of my Boxers had an adverse reaction to a relatively new medication, and had to be taken to urgent care at 3am (the night before Thanksgiving). Kory was a total pro, from his communication, to his keen attention to the medication label & listed side effects. He reacted quickly, he put the dog's needs first in what I'm sure was an overwhelming and scary situation. We were completely stressing out since we had traveled away and only got the messages the next morning, but he made sure to send pictures, give us updates and call with news. It was not a good time for anyone, so if he decides to keep dog-sitting (hopefully!), I would trust him 100% with your pups, cause it was obvious he cared throughout.”
