About: Hello animal enthusiasts! My name is Katie and I have worked with animals in a multitude of settings. Jane Goodall (Primatologist) was always an idol of mine. As I grew up in a household loving my dogs, cats, and birds I envisioned working in Africa with chimpanzees. While my vision didn't manifest exactly the way I had fathomed, I still ended up working with baboons in Africa (2017). Along the way, I was an outdoor educator for several years working with all sorts of reptiles, amphibians, birds, mammals, and invertebrates. I have been attracted to all types of animals since the day I was born. As a science teacher (8 years), I kept corals and saved many animals in the outdoor environment near our school (from squirrels to birds and much more). My husband and I have just moved from Chicago, IL to Florida. We have a love for adventure and curiosity for the great outdoors. We are happily married with our Cockatiel (Sunny) and Umbrella Cockatoo (Jack). I can't wait to meet you and love your pets for eternity! Along with my elementary education degree, I studied zoology. So, with that being stated, I'm here in Florida ready to meet new people, love your pets, teach, adventure, and learn all about Florida ecology! Let's connect! I'm currently reinventing my life/schedule after just recently moving from Chicago, IL this year and leaving my middle school science teaching position. I plan on working for a nature center and substitute teaching while I continue improving my writing career. As of right now, I have an open schedule until the end of August. I will be changing my availability in September. Currently, we do not have a fenced in yard for your pet but I can surely take him/her out with their leash in our vast open space! If your dog loves the hose, we have access to this as well. Who doesn't love a nice spray during the hot summer? Your pet will have 24 hour access to this yard, cozy home, and the couch or bed! We live about 5 minutes from the Audubon Pennington Park where we love to take nature walks. I'm sure your dog wouldn't mind a nature walk too! We truly do enjoy hosting neighborhood pets as one of our very own family members. Your pet will receive unconditional love, constant cuddles, outdoor time, and food/water the way you prefer it! At night time, they can choose from our warm bed or their very own cozy dog bed. About: Brand new to Roverm but I have dozens of 5 Star Reviews on Trusted Housesitters. I am exceptional with both dogs and cats, and love caring for them. I am an empty nester, so I no longer have pets of my own. I recently moved to Arlington to be near my children, and signed up for Rover to hang with some cats and dogs!! I had both cats and dogs my entire life: first as a child; then with my own children. I trained all our own pets and am great with them. For many years, I was on Trusted House-Sitters and always received a 5 Star Review. I'll do an amazing job for you. I am mature, responsible, resourceful, and respectful. About: I was born and raised around many animals. I am sure that your dog or cat would have a great time with me and my family. I will care for your pet just like they are my own and will give them all of the attention they need. I am very active and will be able to give them all of the walks and playtime they could possibly want. I will try my hardest to accommodate whatever needs you express to me the best way possible. I hope you will let me show the love and care that your baby needs and wants to them when you are not around and able too. “Jennifer took wonderful care of our Boston Terrier, Patton. He can be shy and sensitive at first, and she was very patient with him, gave him space, and let him warm up at his own pace. She followed his routine, kept us updated, sent pictures, and made sure he was eating, drinking, going potty, and comfortable. “If I could give Morgan 10 stars, I would. We had holiday travel that had us away for 10 days. We found Morgan as an alternative to your standard pet resort. We knew we wanted the one on one experience for our yellow lab. Morgan provided that and then some. She goes above and beyond to make sure all the animals in her care feel like they’re at home. With daily photos and updates, we felt like we were right there in the action! This was our first visit with Morgan but most certainly won’t be our last!”
“Dana was wonderful from the very start! Very quick and thorough with communication and I immediately knew that she would treat our boy like he was one of her own. “Shawna saved the day for us by being able to take our pup over Thanksgiving week. Great communication and very flexible for drop off/pickup times.
