“This was possibly the best stay Elvis has ever had. Marion made sure he felt at home in her house and sent me daily messages to make me feel at ease while I was away. He had the best time playing with her Great Dane, Einstein, who we had a meet-and-greet with prior to his stay to make sure we all felt comfortable before the overnight stay. Since returning from his stay with Marion and Einstein, Elvis has slept for an entire day. So, I knew he had a great time. But most of all, as a result of finally playing with a puppy larger than him, Elvis has been more respectful toward his smaller, older dog sister after returning home. About: I have had dogs my entire life. I also would dog sit for my neighbors and my parents friends all through middle school and high school. “Hello Rover,, I'm new to the area and just moved into my house a month ago. Needing a cat sitter, my daughter told me to look on Rover. When i first logged on to your site, I saw Jennie's kind smile and that she was close by. So I figured it would be a win win. Boy, did I get way more than I bargained for!! I don't even know where to begin to express my gratitude and appreciation for Jennie! First, I'd like to thank her for taking care of my cat under more than extreme circumstances! I never thought I could ever get such impeccable service. The story has a twist and becomes even more extraordinary. On my recent trip, on the third day I left the country. Something told me to message Jennie and let her know I could only receive messages from messenger. As I did, I asked if everything was OK. She responded "your cat is ok". This is what followed. Evidently some sort of "Super Cell" developed and decided to dump approximately 6 inches of rain in 45 minutes on my house! Jennie saw how bad the sky looked over my way and decided to make the trip over. What normally is a 5 minute ride turned into 20 due to the rain coming down so hard she couldn't see the road. Upon her arrival, the water was 6 to 8 inches above the threshold, so she didn't want to open the door. She left and came back later to find my downstairs flooded! The water had started to receed and little Miss Wonder Woman jumped into action and advised me step by step as I, near hysteria, hung on her every message, knowing I couldn't get back til Monday (this happened Friday evening !) She moved furniture and pulled out rugs as her daughter and cousin swept the water to the street. She secured my cat in the upstairs and did her best to calm her. Jennie went out and rented a rug cleaner and cleaned my large area rug ( just a cat sitter?! Whatever!!). She turned on fans and cleaned everything she could!! Not once did I ask her to do anything --- she just took care of everything. When I asked her why she did it, her response was, "That's how I was raised, you help people". At that moment I could have kissed her parents on the mouth! My cat is now healed from the trauma, still skittish, but that's to be expected. The house is getting back together, but it would have been a total loss without Jennie's help. Thank you Jennie for working so hard for 3 straight days and restoring my faith in humans , there's still good ones out there! ❤ Rover, you just don't know what you have! Sincerely, Donna Matteson”
About: I have such a love for animals especially dogs and cats I have taken care of cats since I was 12. And growing up I liked to help family members out with their cats and pets too. I of course would clean the cat litter, give them their food (mixing in wet food for a special treat or special diet). I make sure their food bowls or water bowls are clean so they do not get sick as well! And of course spend some time with them and play with them so they are not bored or feeling lonely.

Older dogs require a different kind of care, a little calmer, more established routines, puppies are more active, patience and lots of activity. It is important to me the routine that the owner describes for their pet, following their instructions is very important. It is a commitment to take care of a pet, I work from home so I can adapt according to the needs of the pets I agree to take care of. Walks, running on my property (+ 1 Acre) 1 hour of indoor play or more if required. Our property is fenced, our routines are established by our pets, so all security is very important to us, they will be living inside the house with air conditioning and always under my supervision. The walks will be done on a leash and according to the needs of the animal, water is essential, as well as the hours of the same. About: Ever since I was young I did not only taking a liking to all animals, as I found they too took a liking to me. Sometimes I could see pieces of myself in their souls. From then on I've been infatuated with helping them. That's become quite the task as I'm a mother now of 2. Having your own "pets" is just having a bigger family in my eyes. I've always been the friend that takes in pet guests so they can go out of town. Or house sit if necessary beings all the different types. I figured why not make a job of it!! Pet care is extremely important! I use this time daily even for snuggle time to make sure no one even our own furries are left out. It fits in just like breakfast. It's extremely important and can become very meditative. I treat guest pets with as much love and freedom as our own. I'm in a very wooded area and our pup never ventures too far and guides the other dogs around and plays with them to get them back in. He's very clever. However I would never let a guest be unleashed while unattended. While your away I like to take all opportunities to improve! Unleash time is a HUGE start and is always impressive. These simple tasks once mastered can save you pups life if ever left unattended unleashed in a new scary place. I intend to help even if it's for one day we can work on just having fun and playing inside and talking walks in the outdoors together! About: I’ve taken care of pets pretty much all of my life! I love animals and I make sure they feel safe and are taken care of. I’ve taken care of puppies, kittens, and senior animals. For senior pets I would massage them a lot due to their arthritis and for the babies I would make sure they are getting their proper food and naps while also prioritizing play time so they can learn and not feel lonely! I’ve had pets with special diets (mixing certain wet food for treats or special dietary needs). I am big on spending time with animals because they have feelings as well and keeping them safe is a priority! I am currently a nursing student with a busy schedule but as long as we can communicate we can make a schedule together! I do usually have two days off which are Wednesday and Friday (I usually use those days to study and I can fit more time in with pet care these days). Some weeks the schedule may be different but I will always be open about what my schedule is looking like. In my home I have an Australian Cattle Dog blue heeler. He has a lot of energy and a sensitive tummy he is on a routine with his food and has a special diet. I make sure he has enough outside time and play time due to his high energy but also make sure he gets his time to calm down and rest. However I would never let a guest be unleashed while unattended. While your away I like to take all opportunities to improve! Unleash time is a HUGE start and is always impressive. These simple tasks once mastered can save you pups life if ever left unattended unleashed in a new scary place. I intend to help even if it's for one day we can work on just having fun and playing inside and talking walks in the outdoors together! He had the best time playing with her Great Dane, Einstein, who we had a meet-and-greet with prior to his stay to make sure we all felt comfortable before the overnight stay. Since returning from his stay with Marion and Einstein, Elvis has slept for an entire day. So, I knew he had a great time. But most of all, as a result of finally playing with a puppy larger than him, Elvis has been more respectful toward his smaller, older dog sister after returning home. About: My husband and I have always been animal lovers! We have two dogs, Han and Titus. Han is 6 years old and a Great Pyrenees and Titus is 4 years old and a Golden Retriever. We live on a small farm and have an outdoor cat and chickens too. We spend a good amount of time outside with our pets during the cool parts of the day and provide them with love and care.
