I try to make my schedule as flexible as possible, more or less depending on the pet owner needs. I usually make sure the environment is pet friendly and hide all small items that any pet could accidentally ingest, make sure that all of their toys are near, and medications that they need are nearby also. Sure that they have plenty of water and food for their liking or dependent on the specifications of the owner based up their pets needs. And try to make sure that they have something that smells like their owner near so they aren’t weary of their absence.

In the past I volunteered as a fur baby foster parent and was fur mommy to a beautiful girl "Chula" 🐶 we adopted in 2000 and sadly after 17 years got her wings. My family and I always include our fur babies in everything, at holidays, sometimes it seemed to be more dogs 🐶 of all sizes then people 😊. This policy is in place out of care and caution for everyone involved. 🛏️ Crate and Confinement Requirement for Boarding For boarding stays, dogs must be comfortable with crate use or confinement behind a baby gate or similar barrier. This is a non-negotiable requirement. At night and during times when dogs are not being actively supervised, boarding dogs are safely confined. This allows my personal pets appropriate rest and space, and ensures all dogs remain safe when I am asleep or briefly out of the house. Crates or gated areas are used as calm, neutral spaces rather than punishment. If your dog typically uses a crate, pen, or gated area at home, please let me know their routine so I can keep things as familiar and low stress as possible. If a dog is not currently comfortable with any form of safe confinement, boarding may not be the right fit at this time. I’m always happy to discuss alternatives or help determine whether a gradual transition would be appropriate.
About: It’s been called ‘Dog camp!’ Longtime family pet owner, multi-dog owner and trained for elder rescue dog care to recovery and puppy-care. The forest preserve is mostly fenced. Several paths run all through the property for dogs and humans to enjoy as a giant dog park. We do these long trail pack walks morning and evening, going out several times during the day, followed by TREATS for potties with good behaviors reinforced. Morning, afternoon and evening walks around the property are very common, of course with treats! Dogs can hang in the office, living room or outdoors in the yard and driveway watching the birds. Crows we feed protect them. Multiple dog beds allow movement and rest all over let alone covered furniture. Tile floors and throw rugs, but your dog MUST be potty trained. Water bowls are in each room. There is a front window doggie day bed with trundle to monitor all the goings’ on of the front part of the property providing endless hours of fun, cool and warm window watching. A Mostly fenced property and two small, older friendly, active dogs keep everyone company. Feedings are usually 2x a day morning and evening with treats in-between after all have gone out several times, and right before bed. Water is in each room. Toys are around and chuck-its with balls outside. When it’s really hot the puppy pool comes out. The playtime of yard and paths with walks to rest time is common. We don't have crates, but feel free to bring the dog's own bed, blanket and bowls to make them feel comfortable. NO un-house trained dogs or recent rescues will be accepted. We further have a pitbulls policy.

I do have 3 dogs of my own as well on the property but only 1 of them will be mingling with yours and helping them feel at home! ***if your dog does not do well with other dogs, please do not hesitate to reach out as I may still be able to accommodate them for an additional charge as this will require more individualized care*** Because this is a residential property, in an effort to be good neighbors and provide the best possible stay for your pup, if they exhibit any of these behaviors, our property may not be the best fit for them! -Can jump a 4ft fence -Barks excessively -Digs excessively -Escapes fences, crates or other barriers -Has barrier frustration/aggression with neighboring animals This is all I do so I am always home and will have plenty of time to spend with your babies and ensure they are well exercised and are provided with plenty of individualized care and all the fun imaginable! I will follow your standard routine to keep your babies comfortable and in a setting they are most comfortable with! I follow directions very well and am able to make adjustments where I see fit. Daycare and boarding dogs will have the ability to roam the property and play in a very small group, never more than 4 dogs will ever be on the property and all dogs must pass a meet and greet process to participate! Boarding dogs will be enjoying their own designated areas for bedtime and midday naps which is climate controlled and private for their safety and comfort during their entire stay!

I’m always open to providing as much needed walks and belly rubs as possible so that your fur baby gets all the necessary attention. I have plenty of time to help with pet care. I try to make my schedule as flexible as possible, more or less depending on the pet owner needs. I usually make sure the environment is pet friendly and hide all small items that any pet could accidentally ingest, make sure that all of their toys are near, and medications that they need are nearby also. About: I love Rover! I mean, what better job exists than to get paid to spend time with other people's animals? My name is Dan, and I have been around animals my whole life. Currently I am a cat dad of two girls, but I am also comfortable and familiar with dogs, rabbits, and other animals as well. I currently live in a large three bedroom. The property is out in the country, but only a few miles away from Gainesville, so it's far enough to be away from the sounds and stress of the city without really being in the middle of nowhere. It's not the fanciest place, in need of remodeling, but it is calm, comfortable, and pet friendly. There is no smoking inside. The property is not fenced, so I will be keeping everyone inside, except for supervised walks, etc. I am able to board cats, most dogs, and other animals as well. I work from home in addition to doing this, so when I do have a furry guest, I am home twenty four hours a day. I like to actually spend time with the animals I have visiting, so if you have a super playful dog- or one that just likes to hang out on the couch next to someone- I'd probably be a good match. If I am not boarding anyone at the moment, I can walk dogs, feed cats, etc, as well, as long as you are not too far away from where I live. Things I require: 1. I need to meet your animals first (especially for dogs). 2. If I don't feel comfortable , or I feel like an animal is not comfortable with me, I will not confirm the booking. Animals are just like people, we all have those we like and don't like, so don't take it personal if I decline a booking. 3. I do need emergency contact and vet information. I hope I never have to deal with any emergency, but it is better to be prepared and ready, than to be running around scrambling if something does happen. 4. Of course, I need as much food, etc, as is needed for the stay. Things I offer: 1. Lots of attention. Of course, some animals- especially some cats- aren't really keen on it, and that's okay! But if they are, I love to play with my guests! 2. I don't mix animals from different families. 3. I don't charge extra for extra cats, and I only charge a little bit extra for extra dogs. I have been doing this off and on for some time now, and while I don't have as many clients as I want to have, my reviews are good and solid for a reason. I have my own two cats who take up all my time when I'm not out taking care of other people's animals, or otherwise working. The only time I'm usually not available is if I have already made prior commitments. I treat animals like they are children, because to me, they are. My own two are my favorite people in this world, but I love animals in general. I especially enjoy cats, friendly dogs, and giant rabbits. 😃 I like to treat each cat, dog, rabbit, etc, as the unique personality they are. Some cats, for example, are a little more standoffish than others. The best thing to do with them is to not push them. Nobody cat or human likes someone standing in front of them demanding attention ! Some dogs, for example, are very laid back and really just want to lay next to you and snuggle. Others are always ready to play! I am knowledgeable about safety, and when I am doing a drop in visit, I always keep an eye out for anything that doesn't look right. When I am dog walking, I like to go places that are less traveled, I keep my attention fully on them, and on everything going on around us. When I am with your animals, they are my first and only priority.
About: I began house sitting in high school for close family friends and neighbors. The first family who trusted me had quite the crew — two birds, a turtle, two senior cats, a dog, and even a couple of fish. Caring for their pets, especially the cats, taught me early on how important consistency and attention to routines can be. He also had allergies that required daily medicated baths, a special diet, and multiple medications. I truly believe every pet has a unique personality. I approach pet care with attentiveness, patience, and playfulness so animals feel safe, understood, and well cared for. I work a full-time schedule during the week, but I’m happy to provide care before and after work and occasionally in the evenings depending on timing and location. About: I not only grew up around dogs, but I’ve worked in animal shelters and a pet resort, where I was responsible for the needs of dogs and cats. I earned 44 hours of volunteer work at the Humane Society in St. Thomas, U.S.V.I., where I gave tours to potential dog owners. I worked at Pet Suites and LifeLine, where I ensured all pets received their food and/or medicine in a timely manner. I have fostered dogs for Angels Among Us and found homes for all of them. I live in a pet-friendly apartment with other dog neighbors. There’s a lot of grass surrounding the complex. While at work, I prefer letting dogs roam unless they need to be in a crate.
