I’ve raised my dog Zoso since I was 14 when she was a puppy, she recently passed away at 17 years old so having other dogs around makes me so happy. I also have two cats who are young, orange, and friendly, and I own horses, so I’m experienced with pets of all sizes and personalities. Quick story: One day, I noticed my mom’s chihuahua-papillon mix, Jacques Cousteau, scrunching his face as he tried to eat crunchy food. I went to PetSmart and brought home the healthiest soft food I could find. When he braced himself to bite into it but didn’t hurt his old teeth, he ran over and jumped onto my lap, licking my whole face until I was laughing, knowing he felt seen. He gained a few pounds over the next few weeks (6 pounds to 9, 50% more!). I was so happy that he could eat again without pain. He lived to be about 15 years old! For a chihuahua, that’s a very long happy life. I will treat your dog like it’s my own. Please share any special care needs with me. I am able to be very attentive. Your dog will be my top priority. I cater to special needs. Happy to send photos throughout the day. We treat them like family and have 4 responsible adults who share the space, all love dogs. About: I’ve always loved being around animals and have plenty of hands-on experience from caring for my own dog, who is about 100 pounds! Having a large dog has made me very comfortable with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. About: I’ve work with dogs and other animals for the last 8 years. From puppies to seniors and everything in between. I’ve also helped train a few service dogs and actively show and compete in sports with my own dog. My life is centered around my dog and I work from home. About: I absolutely love animals, especially dogs. I’ve raised my own chocolate lab the past 9 years as well as having dogs my whole life back home. I am a graduate student at UF so I do have a busy class schedule but have weekends free! I’m home a lot outside of class time. I knew beforehand that their dog might tear up soft toys, so we only brought toys we were okay with parting with. However, one of my dog's hard toys and her food bowl also ended up getting chewed, which is not something my dog usually does. Just keep in mind if you bring any toys or food items that their dog may have access to, they may get chewed on.”
