About: I have looked after dogs for over 40 years and we are a very loving animal family. I have rescued, cared for the sick, old and disabled furry friends. Our home has been adapted into a beautiful boarding, English style with lots of play and creature comforts. “Hello Rover,, I'm new to the area and just moved into my house a month ago. Needing a cat sitter, my daughter told me to look on Rover. When i first logged on to your site, I saw Jennie's kind smile and that she was close by. So I figured it would be a win win. Boy, did I get way more than I bargained for!! I don't even know where to begin to express my gratitude and appreciation for Jennie! First, I'd like to thank her for taking care of my cat under more than extreme circumstances! I never thought I could ever get such impeccable service. The story has a twist and becomes even more extraordinary. On my recent trip, on the third day I left the country. Something told me to message Jennie and let her know I could only receive messages from messenger. As I did, I asked if everything was OK. She responded "your cat is ok". This is what followed. Evidently some sort of "Super Cell" developed and decided to dump approximately 6 inches of rain in 45 minutes on my house! Jennie saw how bad the sky looked over my way and decided to make the trip over. What normally is a 5 minute ride turned into 20 due to the rain coming down so hard she couldn't see the road. Upon her arrival, the water was 6 to 8 inches above the threshold, so she didn't want to open the door. She left and came back later to find my downstairs flooded! The water had started to receed and little Miss Wonder Woman jumped into action and advised me step by step as I, near hysteria, hung on her every message, knowing I couldn't get back til Monday (this happened Friday evening !) She moved furniture and pulled out rugs as her daughter and cousin swept the water to the street. She secured my cat in the upstairs and did her best to calm her. Jennie went out and rented a rug cleaner and cleaned my large area rug ( just a cat sitter?! Whatever!!). She turned on fans and cleaned everything she could!! Not once did I ask her to do anything --- she just took care of everything. When I asked her why she did it, her response was, "That's how I was raised, you help people". At that moment I could have kissed her parents on the mouth! My cat is now healed from the trauma, still skittish, but that's to be expected. The house is getting back together, but it would have been a total loss without Jennie's help. Thank you Jennie for working so hard for 3 straight days and restoring my faith in humans , there's still good ones out there! ❤ Rover, you just don't know what you have! Sincerely, Donna Matteson”

About: I am my friends and family’s go to dog/cat-sitter. I’ve began taking care of pets regularly within the past 6 years. I’m happy to walk, feed and bathe pets, as well as any other task requested of me. :) I’m open and available everyday to petsit and dog walk. I work from my laptop Sat-Thurs from 12pm-8pm EST aside from pet duties ❤️ If you don’t mind my remote work, I’m happy to pet sit! When walking dogs, I make sure the harness and leash are fully secure. I double check doors all the time to make sure pets don’t escape. I can gently crate dogs. I also walk my own cats on a leash or in a stroller. I put them on a harness to ensure they don’t escape when carrying them or while they’re in the stroller.

About: I've always had dogs my whole life. I've learned a lot about dog behaviour, training, healthcare and welfare from life experiences and from my long-term friend Jill Silver, who specialises in dog/animal behaviour, training, holistic animal healthcare, and raw feeding for dogs. My dogs are my family, and I will treat any dog in my care as such. I currently live and work on the property with my two dogs, and being that I'm looking to turn this business into a full-time job for myself, I would be on the property 24/7, and when I do go out, it is for no more than several hours at a time. Otherwise, my dogs and I miss each other too much. 😆 Although the five-acre property I'm currently staying at is fenced, it's important to note that nothing is entirely dog-proof. I have a separate fully fenced play area right outside my back door which offers plenty of room for your dog to take care of their business, and safely play off leash with my two dogs as well. While my dogs can roam freely within the property's boundaries, any client's dogs would need to be on a long leash attached to me around my waist during any time outside of the designated play area. This way, I can supervise their playtime with my dogs, ensure their safety, and also build a bond with your dog. Once a client's dog has had the opportunity to build a stronger connection with me over time, playtime outside of designated area can be off-leash, and only if I am confident in the dog's ability to come back when called and only if the owner is entirely comfortable in my ability to handle their beloved furry Freind.

About: Ever since I was young I did not only taking a liking to all animals, as I found they too took a liking to me. Sometimes I could see pieces of myself in their souls. From then on I've been infatuated with helping them. That's become quite the task as I'm a mother now of 2. Having your own "pets" is just having a bigger family in my eyes. I've always been the friend that takes in pet guests so they can go out of town. Or house sit if necessary beings all the different types. I figured why not make a job of it!! Pet care is extremely important! I use this time daily even for snuggle time to make sure no one even our own furries are left out. It fits in just like breakfast. It's extremely important and can become very meditative. I treat guest pets with as much love and freedom as our own. I'm in a very wooded area and our pup never ventures too far and guides the other dogs around and plays with them to get them back in. He's very clever. However I would never let a guest be unleashed while unattended. While your away I like to take all opportunities to improve! Unleash time is a HUGE start and is always impressive. These simple tasks once mastered can save you pups life if ever left unattended unleashed in a new scary place. I intend to help even if it's for one day we can work on just having fun and playing inside and talking walks in the outdoors together! I am one for taking photos and sending them to let you know how much fun they are having, for you to have yours!

We have a Labrador retriever that has been part of our family for 6 years now that I was able to train myself. We also have a male cat that is very loving and gets along well with other animals. I will make sure your pet is fed at its regular scheduled feeding times as well as walked throughout the day. We have a closed in back porch where your pet will be able to hang out and play with dog toys we have. We have a play pen where they are able to hangout with out any dangerous surroundings. I have a separate fully fenced play area right outside my back door which offers plenty of room for your dog to take care of their business, and safely play off leash with my two dogs as well. While my dogs can roam freely within the property's boundaries, any client's dogs would need to be on a long leash attached to me around my waist during any time outside of the designated play area. This way, I can supervise their playtime with my dogs, ensure their safety, and also build a bond with your dog. Once a client's dog has had the opportunity to build a stronger connection with me over time, playtime outside of designated area can be off-leash, and only if I am confident in the dog's ability to come back when called and only if the owner is entirely comfortable in my ability to handle their beloved furry Freind.

About: Ever since I was young I did not only taking a liking to all animals, as I found they too took a liking to me. Sometimes I could see pieces of myself in their souls. From then on I've been infatuated with helping them. That's become quite the task as I'm a mother now of 2. Having your own "pets" is just having a bigger family in my eyes.
