Care: Our dogs were well taken care of and it was evidenced by their comfort level, happiness, and food intake while we were gone. One of our dogs is fairly aggressive to men she doesn't know. About: I have always had animals.. mainly dogs my entire life. I have a large front and backyard for your pup to be walked. I do have a 6 year old male dachshund. But don’t worry he doesn’t meet a stranger whether it be person or animal. He would LOVE the company! I work Monday through Friday in Dothan, AL. I leave home at 7:00 am and arrive back home at 6:00 pm. I’m off on weekends. I have a large back and front yard to walk your dog. I own my own home and live alone. “Hayley and Charlie are not only friendly and accommodating, they went above and beyond to make sure my very active dog (aussie) got plenty of time outside doing what he loves over a 4-day stay. Hayley is a serious dog sitter with a perfect set-up for multiple dogs to live comfortably for any amount of time. For multi-day stays they offer a complimentary bath (weather pending) in addition to many other add-on services. I certainly plan on booking with her again.”

About: I’m a big animal lover and have 4 pits myself. Three of which are trained service dogs! Have experience with older dog care and puppies! Also take care of cats! Fits anytime currently making this my forever job and I don’t have any kids so I’ll be available any day and weekend for sitting and drop ins! Give them lots of attention and love and keep the house in order. Play time is a must and lots of cuddles with regular potty breaks

My life has always revolved around animals. I volunteered at the Atlanta Humane Society when I was younger and more recently worked with a local Wildlife Rescue group. I currently share my home with five rescue dogs (they hang in the backyard, while your pup has plenty of personal space in the large front yard and private cabin). My crew has taught me how to manage different temperaments, understand body language, and provide the patience that rescue or nervous pups often need. I am also the proud parent of two tortoises. My experience with exotics has made me a highly detail-oriented caregiver who understands that every animal has specific environmental and dietary requirements. They wake for breakfast and morning play, spend their energy in solo exploration or quiet enrichment, and then transition into deep, restorative naps in their own space. Because there is no forced mingling, the dog can fully relax, knowing their personal space is respected. It is a life of low-stress stability, where they can simply focus on being a dog and having fun! When we are cooling off inside, I provide a peaceful environment that includes Dog TV and soothing background sounds to keep everyone relaxed and entertained. My goal is to mirror the love and structure they get at home so they can have a fun, safe experience while you are away. I am Carolyn and here at Paws and Pine I’ve created a fun, low-stress alternative to traditional daycare and boarding. Your pup will have a private, climate controlled cabin, with its own fenced outdoor area within a larger fenced play area. If your dog is more of an introvert, this is the place. There is no forced community play. Every dog that stays here, whether for hours or days, can enjoy independence. My property is tucked away in the beautiful pines of North Walton County, while also being conveniently located in Freeport. The cabins are situated in my front yard, safely fenced in and always in my vision if I step in for a snack. The full time residents here, Blazer, Juno, Monkey, Jenny and Jojo have the entire fenced backyard for their home base, leaving plenty of room in the front yard for your dog to play with me or enjoy it's own quiet time in the sunshine!

About: I have been caring for animals for most of my life, including owning my first dog as an adult six years ago. I also adopted my cat at age one, and she is now 12 years old. Over the years, I have gained extensive hands-on experience with a variety of animals, including providing in-home pet sitting services for other families. Our household includes three children, a dog, and a cat, so we are very accustomed to a lively, active environment. Because of this, we understand the importance of pets being comfortable in a family setting and able to adapt to a busy, energetic home. We spend much of our time outdoors and prioritize daily walks, exercise, and engagement for the animals in our care. Animals have always been a central part of my life, and I have a particular love for dogs—especially Golden Retrievers, which are a beloved breed in our family. In addition to being a dedicated pet owner, I have been professionally caring for dogs for approximately 10 years, providing reliable, attentive, and compassionate care. I’m at stay at home mom, so much of my time is spent at home with my children and animals. If I’m away from home I’m typically only gone for a couple hours at a time especially if I have another animal in our home. We can be very accommodating depending to what your dog(s) need. We are very active inside and outside our home. Playing fetch, going for walks & taking your dogs outside is all priority!
