“What a wonderful experience my dog Izzy had with Marcy! Izzy is a 7 lb Morkie that is terrified of other dogs. The bigger the dog, the louder the dog, the more terrified she is, which makes boarding her difficult. Izzy had a great time playing with Marcy’s 5 lb. Betty Boo, so it was a great social experience for my dog. Marcy also is terrific - I knew my dog was getting the best of care in my absence, and all for a reasonable price. “This was our first time using James’s for our fur babies and both Winston and Bella just fell into a routine and made themselves right at home! I will walk with them around the Lake's, and engage them, by talking to them, so that they know they are loved by me. Lastly, I am not trained in the Heimlich for dogs, nor CPR, but I have had to do the Heimlich on my own dog, whom was choking on food, to save her life. I look forward to playing with your babies. About: I have fostered for the SPCA since I was 12 and have owned pets my entire life. I have a passionate love for animals and recently discovered a new passion for pet sitting! After adopting several special needs pets who would otherwise have difficulty finding a forever home (the last two passed away last year), I found myself wanting to adopt every animal I fostered. knowing that wasn’t realistic, I realized pet sitting might be better outlet for me to direct my love for animals (Without the pain of not knowing if the pet I fostered would eventually find a loving home). And I have loved hosting happy pets ever since! My children are now in college, and after losing my precious older dog and cat a couple years ago, I now only have one cat we rescued during a storm. My ultimate goal is for both you and your pet to be comfortable and have peace of mind before and during the time you are away, and I strive to love and entertain them so much that they feel at home (or on vacation) until you come back for them. I work from home, allowing me to be available for your pet at almost all times - which is especially helpful with puppies/kittens, older, or disabled pets that need to be closely watched. (I have many years experience with disabled, sick or elderly pets). I am experienced with giving both oral and injected meds, expressions, helping them eat, exercise, etc. Because I only pet sit one animal family at a time, I am able to adjust to your pet(s) schedule. Whatever makes him/her most comfortable! I take the trust and safety of pets very seriously, only keeping one pet (or family of pets) at a time. I also document a daily diary of their experiences, and send pictures on a daily basis (unless requested otherwise). You can review the daily diary document (as well as information I prefer to obtain before pet sitting), in my photos section. This document includes the preferred vet and emergency center I utilize, although I am happy to contact your preferred vet if provided to me. I also have multiple friends who are veterinarians, and I never hesitate to contact them if I am at all concerned about any pet in my care. I prefer dogs be crate trained if they are young and active, but while I have a large double-sized crate, it is only used if we are all gone for a short time (for the dog’s safety and comfort). The rest of the time pets are welcome on the bed to sleep with us, on furniture, etc. If there is a reason the dog can’t be crated, please discuss it with me and we can come up with safest and best plan for your pet! I also have a room set up for pets in case they want to be alone or have quiet time. It is also helpful if you bring a blanket from home, so s/he is comforted by the familiar smells of you and their loving home!

About: I've had dogs my entire life. I have worked at dog boarding facilities and various rescues over the years. I am currently a volunteer with a local rescue in Lakeland. I have three small dogs of my own, who are like my kids. I’m home most of the time so your pet will rarely be unsupervised but when I do need to leave the house, I have steps and protocols in place to assure your pet's safety while I am away. I have a 6ft privacy fenced back yard. All lawn care items are locked away in a shed to lessen the risk of your pet getting into anything potentially toxic. I supervise feedings and separate dogs, if necessary. I can also administer oral medications.
About: I wake up every early at 4:40 am so if owners need me to walk or run with their dogs early in the morning I can do that. I love dogs and been surrounded by all type of animals my whole life. She is prompt in response to any communication about their visits or changes in my work schedule, adjusts her schedule when possible to take them out earlier or later, and is easy to communicate with. She’s been overly helpful today especially when I forgot to put the lock box on my door on the way out and had a full schedule at work, she even stopped by to get the key where otherwise my puppies would have been stuck with no potty or exercise breaks for hours. These two are full of energy so I know they appreciated the extra play time they got together today also! We are very grateful for Ruth and her excellent dog walking services.”
About: Dogs have been a part of my life for most of my life. My first dog was our family’s black Lab, Nya. Then I got my own dog, Henry, a Jack Russell Terrier mix who was by my side for 12 wonderful years. As Henry got older, he experienced a variety of health issues, so I became very comfortable administering medication, including oral medications and eye drops. I’m also familiar with caring for dogs who require a specific diet and a little extra patience and attention. About: I’ve been taking care of pets since I was about 12. I’m very experienced and even have three pets of my own, two dogs and one cat. I’ve raised all of my animals since they were babies, so I am comfortable with young animals and confident in my abilities to take care of them. I’m able to confidently administer medication’s as needed to pets at the owner’s request. I am available whenever as long as I am able to work my normal Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM job while pet sitting. The most availability I have is on weekends if you need uninterrupted pet sitting. I make sure that pet safety is the most important thing when taking care of someone else’s pets. I ensure dogs stayed leashed when not in a fenced in environment, and I watch out for cats sneaking out of houses. I will make sure whatever safety concerns the owner has during the visit are my number one priority.

I understand that every pet has their own routine and personality, so I’ll always follow your instructions closely to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away! ’m a full-time college student, but all of my classes are in the early afternoon, which leaves me plenty of time in the mornings, evenings, and between classes to care for pets. I’m able to make time for walks, feeding, playtime, potty breaks, and lots of attention. I’m also happy to follow your pet’s normal routine so they feel comfortable and well cared for while you’re away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to keep their normal routine consistent so they feel safe and comfortable. I follow all instructions for feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and any other specific needs. I make sure they get plenty of attention and love while also respecting their space and personality. I’ll also keep their area clean and make sure they have fresh water and everything they need while you’re away!
About: I grew up in a house hold where we always had some sort of four legged critters. From breeding to part of the family. I prefer four legged companion than 2. It's therapeutic to just chill with someone who just wants to be loved and played with. I've relocated to be closer to my mom. So I'm looking for work to pay my bills. I love animals, so why wouldn't this be an awesome way to make money and play with four legged critters. All care be done in the client's home. So pets are familiar with own surroundings and have a better experience with a random stranger, when it comes to caring for others four legged family member.
About: I wake up every early at 4:40 am so if owners need me to walk or run with their dogs early in the morning I can do that. I love dogs and been surrounded by all type of animals my whole life. I will take care of your dog like it was my own. I can also do late at night walks if that works for the client as well. I am pretty fit so I can walk or jog a couple miles. I love playing with dogs as well and really enjoy their company. I just want to be able to help owners with their dogs since I am able to that right now. About: I have owned dogs since was 9/10 years-old, and enjoy playing with dogs and love keeping them occupied espically puppies. For puppies, I like to help potty-train them by offering treats to understand that "outside is where we use the bathroom not inside". I also pay really close attention to due to possible getting into things. I watch out for things that could possibly hurt your dog. As a dog owener myself I will treat your dog as if it was my own dog at home, giving all the attention and play time there hearts desire. I’m currently not working so I am available during select times.
