“Shana was fantastic!! We have 2 cats and they are both pretty skittish around strangers. Shana was very patient with them and understood their need for space. The boxes were clean and the cats were well-fed. She took time to also scrub out both the food and water bowls each day. The updates were thorough and she always made sure to include pictures. This was our first time using Rover and we were very pleased with the experience. Boarding is always incredibly traumatic for the cats, not to mention expensive, and you also have to dance around their pick-up times (or pay an extra day if they are closed on Sundays). This was sooooo much better, and Shana's experience as a vet-tech gave us extra peace of mind. Rover is totally the way to go, and we will definitely seek Shana's services next time we are out of town!!!”

I have a fenced yard so your dog will have lots of space to play, but will always be leashed and supervised. About: I’m 29 years old and currently dog/cat sit at least twice a month for close family friends or relatives. I’ve had horses, dogs, and cats growing up and currently still own 3 horses, 2 dogs. I don’t have any children and work full time during the week. My schedule is usually flexible during the week but would need to have your puppy/dog crated while I’m at work or away. I enjoy taking care of animals and understand how stressful it can be to leave your dog while at work or on vacation. If I ever leave my pets, I only want someone who cares about them and would treat them like their own just as any pet owner would. All of my dogs go on weekly walks, get spoiled and probably get treated better than most humans. Our pets are more like family members so it’s important to have someone responsible to care for them. As soon as I get up, I take care of my dog by feeding her and letting her outside. My work schedule is pretty flexible so I leave around 8 or 9am, my dog uses the bathroom again before I leave. Sometimes I come home from work to let my pup out to use the restroom, if it’s a busy day, I’m usually home around 4-5pm and my dog comes outside immediately to play and use the bathroom. I usually do not go to bed until 11pm. Our backyard is not fenced, however I can walk dogs on the leash and they can even go for walks in the neighborhood with me! During the day if I’m away, dogs are crate trained to feel safe and secure while away from you. I currently work full time, however, I am available most days to stop by during the day to let your pup/dog out to potty and stretch their legs. I leave around 8-9am and I’m back in the afternoon around 5-6. So I understand a potty break in between might be needed! We have a very large yard, but right now only the back yard is fenced. I would prefer to walk your dog on a leash regardless to prevent anything from happening, mostly if they like to dig under fences. I try to prevent all measures of them getting out my sight but I do enjoy walks in my neighborhood if the you/the owner is comfortable with this.

About: I have 7 dogs, 4 cats, and 3 guineas pigs here at home, so I have a lot of experience with many kinds of animals, all shapes and sizes. I can deal with any type of breed, and any type of pet (snakes, bearded dragons, etc.). I can walk, feed, and spend lots of time with the animals if needed. I prefer watching the animals at the client's home, since I have so many animals already. This job sounds perfect for me because I love animals so much, and it has a flexible schedule. Since I do have many animals at home, I am not able to stay over night at houses. However, I am able to stay late (11pm) and arrive early (7am) if needed. In my own home, we rotate the dogs outside every 45 minutes. We feed our animals at 7 am and 12 pm. I can adjust to any schedule recommended by the client. We work our dogs a bit different since there are so many.

About: I have been in the veterinary industry for over 20 years and am currently a Manager at a local animal ER. I've been in emergency vet med for almost seven years. Prior to that, I worked in general practice and was also a full-time, professional pet sitter for three years. I am comfortable with all breeds of dogs, especially large breeds. About: I am an active duty service member of the U.S. Navy and have been in for 6 years. I had two dogs of my own for 9 years before I enlisted, who were house trained and learned to respond to two languages, English and Spanish. They were taught tricks and were well behaved. I was responsible for the grooming and potty training. Every time I was able to come home, I would jump right back in the routine of caring for my babies. I enjoyed every minute of the caretaking process and the bond that I grew with my dogs. The one thing I miss is coming home and having them greet me at my door. Their is nothing like that love.
