About: I have two cats at home; A 15yr old Maine Coon - blind (so I have experience with disabled pets!!) he's super smart, & gentle. My other is a 3yr old Tabby - she's very talkative, playful & mischievous. I have also lived with many cats in the past which were not my own, and have owned cats prior to my 15yr old. As a quick note; I have unfortunately been victim to a brutal cat attack from a previous roommates pet, so I must mention my preference for cat-sitting spayed/neutered cats only, with no history of aggression. About: I have taken care of fur babies since I was 13. I love to volunteer at the humane society and walk the dogs in the afternoon. I have taken care of dogs experiencing seizures and I was trained to administer a calming medication to the dog to help relieve the symptoms of the seizure. I have been a pet sitter for six years. I am a full time student at UNF, I am able to dog sit on the weekends and after class. We can talk schedules, it is flexible. I have a fenced in yard for my fur babies. I make sure to get my fur babies some sun and nature by walking them every day. For cats I make sure to play with them and throw a few treats their way.
About: For 17 years I have been taking care of dogs (really animals of all kinds, shapes, and sizes) both of my own and for others too. There has never been a point in my life that I have not had a dog. Right before I was born, my parents got a beagle that I grew up with. I started taking care of her at a young age (I’d say even later than 17 years ago, just not notable enough to count for it) when she needed special baths for her skin condition, treatments for her ear infections, and catering to her broken arm after getting run over by a car. Before she passed, we got a husky. I helped train (on and off leash commands), groom, trim his nails, and learned how to speak husky. He was a very loved hand full. I learned so much from him because of all the trouble he made from running away, eating glue, chewing up the entire house… you name it, he did it. Through these lessons I have learned not only how to retain my patience and grace, but also how to be a beacon of support and reservoir of love for all fur babies. Nevertheless, when he got older, I gave him shots for his hip dysplasia and ensured he was most comfortable until the day my sister and I sat in the room with him on his way up to doggy heaven. Today, I have a great pyrenees who is a bundle of joy. Again, I have trained her, happily cater to her persistent anxiety--especially with thunderstorms--ensure she is exercised, groomed, and feeling loved. Currently I am working part-time and most of this is at home doing online research for school. Pet care is my daily routine anyways and I have a partner who often stays home to take care of our pup. He certainly supports me needing to fill my cup with more love in my heart from interacting with animals. Nevertheless, I love to help people out. I find that having a good, stable community is the most precious thing we can have as people. It takes a village and I am happy to be apart of that village. “Wendy was super awesome to accept my last minute booking for my baby's evening care. I have never left my Squiggle with a pro-sitter, so I was apprehensive about the experience - but I had to try it out, knowing I would probably need sitting services in the future. Wendy was on time picking up my little guy, and even went above and beyond when she went by the pet store to pick up Squiggy's fave brand of food at my request. Thanks, Wendy. She was responsive, quickly answering when I messaged to check on my baby. She even sent me pictures, and although he looked miserable BC he missed me (we are VERY attached), I was comfortable knowing he was well cared for while with Wendy. I had appointments until later that night and Wendy was very accommodating and dropped him off right when I asked, and she gave me a full update via Rover - right down to how many times Squiggy made poo. That is some serious awesome. And although very excited to see me and be home, Squiggy wasn't traumatized I left him with a stranger. About: I am joyful and love being active. I walk about 3 miles a day but if your dog is really active I usually double that and take him on a beautiful trail by my home. So plenty of time to get all that energy out for puppies and active dogs. I love dogs so much I want one but my landlord won't let me get one so I would like to continue my experience of loving on yours! :) Dogs and I usally bond instantly but the timid ones usually warm up within the day. I do little things like calm them and talk to them gently. And then when it's time to play I get really excited and usually play fetch or tug of war. I also give great baths and don't mind getting dirty so if that is what they need for the day, I'm your gal! :) * update please read* due to recent dog sitting I have to ask for vaccination records and proof that they are being treated for fleas. please understand that multiple dogs come to my home I cannot put it at risk for the other angels that visit.
