About: I do not currently have a dog, but I have lived with plenty of dogs in the past! Some roommates had dogs. My most notable experience is with my mothers' 6yr old Goldendoodle, whom I no longer live with. She is a burst of energy, and well-mannered. I visit her to walk/play, take her on trips, and visit dog parks. I would love to meet your doggos and provide care during the week/weekends, or extended pet-sitting services! I am currently unemployed and looking to make this my full-time job! I am available always! A good timeframe for me is 8am-8pm, but I am willing to work outside these hours if needed! DOGS: I can do boarding, I own a home near Murray Hill, with a fenced backyard! I know lots of great walking spots & dog parks! I can also arrange play-dates with other dogs to keep them company during their stay, or in general! My cats are great with dogs, but I can keep them separate if needed. I can also come to you for feeding/playtime/walks/park days! CATS: I can board up to 2 individual cats in separate rooms within my home, (or 2 cats from same home in one room, etc.). For now, I'd like to avoid boarding cats freely throughout my home, as one of mine can be picky, and I would not want to cause additional stress for your kitty(ies)! But, I can set them up in their own room and check on them throughout the day, and/or let them roam while mine are separate. I can also come to you for feeding/playtime!

About: Hello! My name is Lindsay and I’ve been working with rescues around Jacksonville for the past 20 years. I started at humane society and worked with a few locals rescues since and have been around all kinds of dogs and temperaments. I am beginning my dog walking and check in business and will expand to dog boarding for special dogs that can’t always go to traditional Boarding. I understand a lot of dogs have special needs from anxiety, not being friendly with other dogs, fears of storms and fireworks, and even medication treatments. I have personally fostered hundreds of dogs from puppies to moms to seniors and am acutely aware that sometimes a walk or check in is a bit more. I understand the guilt of a dog parent not being able to check in on their babies or give them enough time during the work week and I’m here to help with that. I look forward to creating a consistent client base of wonderful dog families that may be overlooked or unable to be cared for by the standard walker. I am happy to take your dog to parks to socialize safely, handle vet appointments better than your husband or even just reassure you that you are doing your best as a pet parent. While not yet training certified, I have completed training with several trainers and fosters and can help with the basics and/or continue your style of training for additional reinforcement. Above all your dogs happiness and health is the most important. About: When it comes to dogs, I’ve done it all! I’ve cared for puppies, seniors, high-energy pups, couch potatoes, and dogs who need a little extra love and support. No matter their age, size, or personality, I treat every dog like they’re part of my own family. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. Growing up in a family of dog lovers, I learned how to care for, train, play with, and understand dogs from an early age. As I got older, I became the go-to dog sitter for friends and family. Before long, coworkers began trusting me with their pets too, thanks to my experience and genuine love for animals. About: I have had the joy of having dogs and cats as my companions my entire life! Including 2 painted turtles and fish. I've always had a love for animals and nature. I am available anytime on the weekends. I have a large fenced in yard with two friendly dogs for your pets to play with. I crate my own dogs and can do the same for yours if need be. I give my own dog medication for her allergies and can do the same for your own. I never leave outdoor play unattended as I do have a pool. If feeding time is needed, I separate all so as to not cause issues. I give lots of love and attention!

About: I’ve been around many kinds of animals my whole life, including dogs, turtles, rabbits, fish, and guinea pigs. My childhood dog, Zoey, was an older German Shepherd who really shaped my understanding of and love for animals. I grew up in a very animal-loving family where caring for pets was seen as an important part of building responsibility and character. I’m very comfortable with big dogs and used to handling high-energy personalities. Now as an adult, I have my own dog, Aries, a sweet and playful 3-year-old Pitbull Lab mix, who I’ve had since she was a puppy. Being a dog owner myself helps me understand how important it is to fully trust the person caring for your pet. I’ve personally used Rover and had great experiences, and I’m excited to provide that same level of care, communication, and reliability to others. I genuinely love spending time with animals, whether that means going on walks, playing, or just cuddling and keeping them company. I’m currently studying biology and hope to work in the veterinary field one day, so caring for animals truly means a lot to me. I am currently just a student, so I have plenty of time for your pets! I'm home the majority of the time, except for my saturday classes and I'm available any day of the week! If I'm never not home either my sister or father will step in. My home has a big open first floor where dogs are free to hang out and make themselves comfortable. They’re also welcome to sleep in my bedroom if they like being close at night. I don’t allow pets on the couch, but they’ll always have their own comfy spots to relax. I do have a yard, and while it isn’t fenced, I use a secure leash setup so dogs can safely enjoy some outdoor time with supervision. I also use my open garage as a great shaded space for my dog to relax for 2-3 hours a day. I supervise our Ring Cameras frequently. Fresh water and a comfortable resting area are always provided.

I have never left my Squiggle with a pro-sitter, so I was apprehensive about the experience - but I had to try it out, knowing I would probably need sitting services in the future. Wendy was on time picking up my little guy, and even went above and beyond when she went by the pet store to pick up Squiggy's fave brand of food at my request. Thanks, Wendy. She was responsive, quickly answering when I messaged to check on my baby. She even sent me pictures, and although he looked miserable BC he missed me (we are VERY attached), I was comfortable knowing he was well cared for while with Wendy. I had appointments until later that night and Wendy was very accommodating and dropped him off right when I asked, and she gave me a full update via Rover - right down to how many times Squiggy made poo. That is some serious awesome. And although very excited to see me and be home, Squiggy wasn't traumatized I left him with a stranger. Now that he has met Wendy, I wont hesitate to book her again, should we need her. Squiggy made a new friend, and I am now totally cool with Wendy watch my little guy again.”

About: My siblings would ask me to babysit their dogs while they were away, and I always made it a point to leave their homes as I found it. I’ve worked in childcare and taught karate for three years now (not saying is the same thing) so your pet will be receiving the attention and play they need. Karate lessons too if they’d like🙌! I work part time at a martial arts school. Tuesday and Thursday nights I am working for certain. Throughout the day I’m available to walk/babysit/etc. I have work on my laptop so I can take whatever I need to a home and house sit at the same time. I always want to keep an eye on them, making frequent checks to see how they’re doing. I’d like to be informed of any quirks or habits I should be aware of so the pet is comfortable and receives the best care possible. If they want to play, I’m so ready to play!

I had to travel for work one week and my husband works long hours at the hospital, so we hired Deborah to walk our puppy during the day. She followed all our instructions, came exactly when scheduled, and throughly documented each visit. About: I’ve had pets all my life. From guinea pigs to chihuahuas to pitties. I’ve yet to meet an animal I didn’t like and I don’t plan to ever. I spend time volunteering at the local Humane Society to learn how to better care for animals like yours. I’m a full time student looking to make most of my income here on Rover. I also spend a few hours a week at the Humane Society. I've had animals as long as I've been self-aware. My family dogs include a senior chihuahua and a 7 year old pittie. About: Ever since I was little, I have a huge heart for dogs. It wasn’t until I was 10 that I finally had a family dog, and from then on dogs have always been a part of my life. I’ve done personal dog-sitting on and off for a few years for some friends and family and I’ve always really enjoyed it. I did Rover a few years ago and loved it, but life got a bit crazy so I had to pause it. I was still able to consistently dogsit for some repeat customers these last few years, and now my wife Linsey joins me in that! Your dog can expect walks at the park or in our neighborhood and for my home to be their home. If your dog likes play dates, my Rover friends would certainly be about it! My normal job is pretty flexible on where I can work, so if your dog needs extra attention, working from home is totally doable. Between me and Linsey, at least one of us is always home. I’ve done Rover on and off for the last 8 years, and have really enjoyed it! My job is super flexible, with set hours only 2 nights a week and once during the day. I’m mostly working from home or at coffee shops, so it’s super easy to stay home with a dog. Between me and my wife, someone can pretty much always be with your pet. Our home is your dog’s home. If they want to go on the couch or follow us around, by all mean. If they like their space, I’ll give them space. Many dogs have taken a snooze on our couch, legs in the air.

About: Hello! My name is Lindsay and I’ve been working with rescues around Jacksonville for the past 20 years. I started at humane society and worked with a few locals rescues since and have been around all kinds of dogs and temperaments. I am beginning my dog walking and check in business and will expand to dog boarding for special dogs that can’t always go to traditional Boarding. I understand a lot of dogs have special needs from anxiety, not being friendly with other dogs, fears of storms and fireworks, and even medication treatments. I have personally fostered hundreds of dogs from puppies to moms to seniors and am acutely aware that sometimes a walk or check in is a bit more. I understand the guilt of a dog parent not being able to check in on their babies or give them enough time during the work week and I’m here to help with that. I look forward to creating a consistent client base of wonderful dog families that may be overlooked or unable to be cared for by the standard walker. I am happy to take your dog to parks to socialize safely, handle vet appointments better than your husband or even just reassure you that you are doing your best as a pet parent. While not yet training certified, I have completed training with several trainers and fosters and can help with the basics and/or continue your style of training for additional reinforcement. Above all your dogs happiness and health is the most important. And a happy dog is much better at home to help you with your stress too 🥰 I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies and becoming someone you can rely on when needed. I am available 24/7 for regular bookings and understand some of our dedicated third shifters need check ins too! I care for your pets the way you want me to; however I am a force free believer. I will not use shock collars or prong collars for walking. For safety reasons I will not use retractable leashes either. I have plenty of spare harnesses and leashes for walking if needed. I also believe creating a bond of trust and leadership with your dogs is important. I ensure your pet doesn’t get overheated and takes breaks as needed. Weather is funny in Florida and I will make sure you pet can walk, potty and play safely.
