About: I do not currently have a dog, but I have lived with plenty of dogs in the past! Some roommates had dogs. My most notable experience is with my mothers' 6yr old Goldendoodle, whom I no longer live with. She is a burst of energy, and well-mannered. I visit her to walk/play, take her on trips, and visit dog parks. I would love to meet your doggos and provide care during the week/weekends, or extended pet-sitting services! I am currently unemployed and looking to make this my full-time job! I am available always! A good timeframe for me is 8am-8pm, but I am willing to work outside these hours if needed! DOGS: I can do boarding, I own a home near Murray Hill, with a fenced backyard! I know lots of great walking spots & dog parks! I can also arrange play-dates with other dogs to keep them company during their stay, or in general! My cats are great with dogs, but I can keep them separate if needed. I can also come to you for feeding/playtime/walks/park days! CATS: I can board up to 2 individual cats in separate rooms within my home, (or 2 cats from same home in one room, etc.). For now, I'd like to avoid boarding cats freely throughout my home, as one of mine can be picky, and I would not want to cause additional stress for your kitty(ies)! But, I can set them up in their own room and check on them throughout the day, and/or let them roam while mine are separate. I can also come to you for feeding/playtime!
About: Hello! My name is Lindsay and I’ve been working with rescues around Jacksonville for the past 20 years. I started at humane society and worked with a few locals rescues since and have been around all kinds of dogs and temperaments. I am beginning my dog walking and check in business and will expand to dog boarding for special dogs that can’t always go to traditional Boarding. I understand a lot of dogs have special needs from anxiety, not being friendly with other dogs, fears of storms and fireworks, and even medication treatments. I have personally fostered hundreds of dogs from puppies to moms to seniors and am acutely aware that sometimes a walk or check in is a bit more. I understand the guilt of a dog parent not being able to check in on their babies or give them enough time during the work week and I’m here to help with that. I look forward to creating a consistent client base of wonderful dog families that may be overlooked or unable to be cared for by the standard walker. I am happy to take your dog to parks to socialize safely, handle vet appointments better than your husband or even just reassure you that you are doing your best as a pet parent. While not yet training certified, I have completed training with several trainers and fosters and can help with the basics and/or continue your style of training for additional reinforcement. Above all your dogs happiness and health is the most important. Weather is funny in Florida and I will make sure you pet can walk, potty and play safely.

About: I’ve been around many kinds of animals my whole life, including dogs, turtles, rabbits, fish, and guinea pigs. My childhood dog, Zoey, was an older German Shepherd who really shaped my understanding of and love for animals. I grew up in a very animal-loving family where caring for pets was seen as an important part of building responsibility and character. I’m very comfortable with big dogs and used to handling high-energy personalities. Now as an adult, I have my own dog, Aries, a sweet and playful 3-year-old Pitbull Lab mix, who I’ve had since she was a puppy. I had to travel for work one week and my husband works long hours at the hospital, so we hired Deborah to walk our puppy during the day. About: I’ve had pets all my life. From guinea pigs to chihuahuas to pitties. I’ve yet to meet an animal I didn’t like and I don’t plan to ever. I spend time volunteering at the local Humane Society to learn how to better care for animals like yours. I’m a full time student looking to make most of my income here on Rover. About: I am a responsible individual who has taken care of animals from different types of dogs, cats, goats, hamsters, etc. I am 26 years old and when I was receiving my bachelor's degree in Health Science , I would go to the humane society in my free time to foster the dogs or kittens from there. This would be a great bonding for the both of us and I had gained knowledge from the variety of breeds I've watched over the years. For a few examples, I have watched golden doodles, border collies, lab, golden retrievers, domestic shorthairs, pit bulls, German shepherds, etc. One summer for a few months I routinely took care of a blind and deaf cat and the other cat that was there. I accommodated to the special requirements of this specific cat to ensure she knew where her food/ water bowl was as well as her litter box. In the area where I had lived for a while, I was fostering an Australian shepherd who was older age and had bowel issues. They had given me the medication to take care of him and I felt comfortable and responsible enough to do so. During my week, I have structured hours for my job currently that allow flexibility for availability to watch your loving furballs! I am available for every evening and weekends I am available at any time. I stay active so I would be able to make sure your pet gets a healthy amount of exercise. As well having a routine structure for myself already allows the discipline and knowing that your pets would be fed on time. I am in a safe neighborhood, I live at a duplex that has a fenced-in decent-sized backyard. This allows easy access to their bathroom breaks and playtime with them. The neighborhood stays at a quiet volume and has areas to go on safe walks with the pets. I will ensure to keep to the schedule of their typical day-to-day routine so they feel as comfortable as possible and can still have some fun! I am responsive and will always have my phone or apple watch on me to receive text/calls asap.
About: I have cared for countless litters of newborn puppies, ensuring they are alive and thriving. I have been helping my family with this since I was about 7 years old. I am comfortable and confident with delivering any needed vitamins or medications on time, not squeamish at all, and super loving with these sweet creatures. I know how to act if any aggression arises with the animals as well. I am currently in school for 4-5 hours per weekday, excluding Fridays. While pet sitting, I try to be home as much as possible outside of school hours. I provide a safe area for pets so they are comfortable and free to move around, with lots of outdoor time. If the weather is nice, we may spend extended time together outside in my fenced in backyard. At a clients home, I will respect the home and care for the pets in the same way the client would in that space.
About: Cherie was a vet tech in Atlanta for 18 years and a part time professional dog walker for 10 years. While in college, Cherie worked at Disney before eventually landing at SeaWorld, where she first met her now wife, Candace. During her college years, Cherie developed a love for birds, amphibians, and maintaining fish aquariums. In 1998, Cherie moved to Atlanta and began her vet tech career for a well known local Veterinary Clinic. Her best friend owns a dog walking company in Atlanta, which Cherie helped to establish. Additionally, during her time in Atlanta, Cherie also volunteered at a Guinea Pig Rescue and was a foster fail many times over! Candace owns her own business and she works from home everyday. Almost always, it will be Candace who is responding to messages and is at home during the daytime hours! Candace formally worked in the pet industry. She is a pet nutrition specialist and a walking encyclopedia in regards to various animal facts! Candace has been a foster fail many times over as well. She has been involved in many rescue groups throughout the Central Florida area. We just moved to Jacksonville from Orlando to be closer to family. We actually delayed the moved for a few years because we could not leave all of the dogs & pet parents that had become a part of our family. We still have some families that make the drive to drop their babies off with us. We have a good neighborhood with sidewalks for taking strolls. We also have a large fenced in back yard. We have experience for special needs cases. We are able to administer medications and subcutaneous injections. We are well versed in dog nutrition for those pups with sensitivities. Together, we share our love with 1 Chihuaua, 1 Yorkie, 1 Cockatoo, lots of amphibians, and many, many reptiles. Since changing careers, I've missed meeting so many new dogs and would love to meet and care for your baby or babies! The more the merrier! Candace works from home, so she gets to spend all day with the pups! You never know, she might even hire them to work for her! Someone is always home with your pet, so whatever your pet needs can easily be accommodated. Any pet that comes to us is treated like our own. They can sleep in the bed with us if that's allowed and they can go on any of the furniture. However, we do like to keep your routine if that what you wish. We know how hard it is to trust someone with your babies, we are the same way! Our dogs like to lay around all day and sleep. They are very low energy, except for random outbursts. However, that doesn't stop them from being friends with other dogs of varying energy. They won't play with your dog, but they certainly will smell some butts!

About: Hello! My name is Lindsay and I’ve been working with rescues around Jacksonville for the past 20 years. I started at humane society and worked with a few locals rescues since and have been around all kinds of dogs and temperaments. I am beginning my dog walking and check in business and will expand to dog boarding for special dogs that can’t always go to traditional Boarding. I understand a lot of dogs have special needs from anxiety, not being friendly with other dogs, fears of storms and fireworks, and even medication treatments. I have personally fostered hundreds of dogs from puppies to moms to seniors and am acutely aware that sometimes a walk or check in is a bit more. I understand the guilt of a dog parent not being able to check in on their babies or give them enough time during the work week and I’m here to help with that. I look forward to creating a consistent client base of wonderful dog families that may be overlooked or unable to be cared for by the standard walker. I am happy to take your dog to parks to socialize safely, handle vet appointments better than your husband or even just reassure you that you are doing your best as a pet parent. While not yet training certified, I have completed training with several trainers and fosters and can help with the basics and/or continue your style of training for additional reinforcement. Above all your dogs happiness and health is the most important. And a happy dog is much better at home to help you with your stress too 🥰 I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies and becoming someone you can rely on when needed. I will not use shock collars or prong collars for walking. For safety reasons I will not use retractable leashes either. I have plenty of spare harnesses and leashes for walking if needed. I also believe creating a bond of trust and leadership with your dogs is important. I ensure your pet doesn’t get overheated and takes breaks as needed. Weather is funny in Florida and I will make sure you pet can walk, potty and play safely.
