About: Since I was ten I’ve had a cat in my house, and from the second I met her cats were my new favorite. Since then I have gotten another cat who, unfortunately, had to get a leg amputated. He finds his way around, and I have gained valuable experience with cats with disabilities through that. I also have learned what it takes to care for cats in veterinary medicine as a veterinary technicians assistant. I got to work closely with cats for regular appointments, lodging stays, and prepping for procedures. I used to always be a dog person, but ever since cats came into my life I can’t get enough of them.

However, that doesn't stop them from being friends with other dogs of varying energy. They won't play with your dog, but they certainly will smell some butts!

“Excellent!!! Fozzie's behavior when I picked him up spoke for the great time he had. Fozzie said hi to me in usual happy fashion, yet did not want to leave. Normally, Fozzie is ready to leave wherever he is and doesn't speak to me. He actually ignores me until we get into the car. Her big brown lab was a sweet heart and her cats let Fozzie sniff them, too. Adriana, welcomed me all the way inside her home. The living room was set up for a place for pets to lay & relax; there were multiple cushions on the floor. Her back yard is fenced with ample room for running & playing, with a good size pool for pup swimming. When I came in to pick him up, she didn't rush me out. I bonded with the big guy with lots of rubbing & scratching; Fozzie wasn't his usual jealous self, getting between me and the pet I was petting. This was a very unique experience; it was great. Anytime we are in Jacksonville, FL, I know where Fozzie is going.”

I am experienced in feeding, as well as administering both oral and topical medications to both cats and dogs. I take care of dogs, cats, rodents, reptiles, and farm animals. I have vet medical experience and can handle whatever you need for your pet. I have a full time job but usually available at any time and any day! I’m willing to work around schedules! I am able to get there as early as 6am or as late as 11pm for anything that is needed. I am willing to follow the way you want me to take care of your pet. Usually, I walk the dogs with leashes and clean up their waste right away. I always make sure they have plenty of water and bathroom breaks. I also like to ensure they have a clean spot to lie in, as well as any medications/injections they need.

I have previously worked in a veterinarian clinic/dog groomers. I have learned a lot from my employment there. I have in the past owned many dogs and lived a few cats. I use Rover for my own pets so I know the importance of trusting the people you have watching your babies. I send lots of photos and messages so you know your baby is being cared for with the highest attention and quality. I have some experience in administering medication in pill form and insulin via syringe. Since I am a teacher my weekday schedule is limited to evening drop ins only but available on the weekends anytime. During the summer and most breaks I have open availability for daytime visits.
