When we got to the meet and greet, we were welcomed by Katie and her family, she has two older dogs and she created a safe place for Hank to meet her dogs individually first. All the dogs got along really well and we know that Hank was comfortable and happy to stay with Katie when we had to leave. During the stay with Katie, she was very good at communicating with me throughout the trip, and from the picture she sent us we know that Hank was having a great time. Katie is wonderful and if we ever have to look for care for hing, we will definitely come back to her!”

“Sommer and Garrett were absolutely great! They are a beautiful family that love and understand dogs. Their kids help out so much our pups had plenty of attention, cuddles and play time. Their back yard is spacious for active dogs and they are never alone. Luna is very anxious and they knew how to deal with her with lots of care. I was a bit worried because Luna and Moka sleep with me, but there was no issues… they cuddled with them and slept all night. “Maryjane is by far the best choice we could have made for Loyal. She was a tuff case due to extreme attachment to us during covid. We were worried about leaving for a week on vacation and looked high and low for a doggie lover that would be able to deal with her. We started 3 weeks before our trip and Loyal was stubborn and wishy washy for a couple of weeks but finally with Maryjane’s persistence and patience they had a breakthrough of connection and friendship. Maryjane sent us several pictures and really made us both feel comfortable to enjoy ourselves out of town without worrying about her mental state. Ive taken care of a multitude of animals ranging from, cats, dogs, and guinea pigs, for about 3 years now. I love being able to care and love an animal as if they were my own. I have a fenced in yard and screened porch and I only let my cat roam leashed under close supervision so that he doesn’t get into anything and I didn’t notice. I Always ask what the owner is comfortable with whether it’s crating or going on walks around the yard prior but I also understand some pets need more attention than others and that’s okay! I never have anything toxic in reach and keep my house stocked with plenty of toys and treats to keep your pet happy and healthy.

About: I’ve had dogs off and on since I was about 12 with all sorts of personalities due to fostering. I currently have 2 Australian Sheppards, 8 chickens and 4 cows. I work from home so I am available for many dogs needs. I am used to high energy dogs and one of my Aussies loves to play and run and run some more, so if you have an active dog they will be worn out when you get them home. I also have an older small dog in my family that is blind and deaf so I am used to that as well. I work from home and am available to take out your dogs for breaks quite a lot. I am available 24/7 unless I already have been booked. I have a large fenced in pasture that will be used for the dogs to run around and play in, my personal dogs are high energy so I can promise that most dogs will be worn out when they get home. I am also training for a half marathon in the fall so I welcome walking dogs too.

While boarded, each dog has their own space to sleep, eat, and otherwise relax without being bothered by other dogs in the home. This can be a crate or puppy pen depending on what is the best fit for the dog. This is also where the dogs stay while I am out of the house to prevent any incidents between dogs. During the day, the dogs have the opportunity to spend their time inside or outside. There are plenty of toys and beds inside for some playing or relaxing. Outside, they have a fenced-in acre to run, explore, and roughhouse. The dog-friendly pool will be ready for use in April 2026. It has a 8x16ft sun shelf to allow for lounging in shallow water and a ramp for easy access in and out of the deep end. It is screened in to prevent anyone from slipping in unnoticed. For days that don’t allow for much exercise outside, I have treadmills to burn energy for dogs that are comfortable with them and plenty of puzzle feeders to keep their minds busy.

I work from home and pets will go out supervised in the yard and walks, weather permitting( down pour rain). Letting pets out IS MY PRIORITY!! Me and my family did hospice and behavioral cases so I am very experienced with calm dogs, psycho dogs, dogs with various health issues, dogs other people would typically turn down. I am retired so I have plenty of time to care for your babies. My baby (chihuahua) has epilepsy so I’m familiar with sticking to routines and administering oral medication. I am really quite a home body. I do a lot of crocheting. The only time that is not negotiable is the first and third Saturday 7:00am to 2:00pm of each month when I try to sell my crochet items at the farmers market. Other than those few hours I’m available to care for your babies needs. I’m trustworthy and clean. I will follow your wishes. I can crate your pet or sleep with it. I currently sleep with my chihuahua and my cat. I love to cuddle with them. My dogs are on a schedule for their medications so I would do the same for babies.
About: I’ve been volunteering at animal rehab facilities since I was 10 and I’ve worked my way up to wildlife internships in the amazon rainforest just last year, so I have plenty of experience with animals from household pets to less common exotics ! Household pets I have most experience in are Cats, Dogs, Small mammals and Reptiles and I’m well educated in proper cleaning, meal preparation and grooming. I have a heart for animals and i can’t wait to meet yours! 😊🐶 I’m currently managing a temporary health setback and seem to have a lot of time on my hands! I have a fenced in yard and screened porch and I only let my cat roam leashed under close supervision so that he doesn’t get into anything and I didn’t notice. I Always ask what the owner is comfortable with whether it’s crating or going on walks around the yard prior but I also understand some pets need more attention than others and that’s okay! I never have anything toxic in reach and keep my house stocked with plenty of toys and treats to keep your pet happy and healthy.

About: I have had dogs most of my life and volunteered at a large shelter back in St. Louis for more than 10 yrs. I walked dogs, took them on enrichment trips, fostered them and helped at the shelter by just cleaning and doing laundry. I loved all the different dog personalities and tried to do anything that would make their life better. I would love to take care of dogs now that I'm retired and will also be volunteering at the local shelter here I'm retired and my dog recently passed so I'm craving dog time. With no dog i now have more time to dog walk I am available to dog sit or walk but live in a small rv so dog boarding might be tricky though I'm willing to try. “Katie is amazing! We had to leave town for the weekend so we needed to find good care for our energetic Hank. I stumbled upon rover and found Katie, so I decided to message her right away, she responded within minutes! And that same conversation led us to our meet and greet the next day. When we got to the meet and greet, we were welcomed by Katie and her family, she has two older dogs and she created a safe place for Hank to meet her dogs individually first. All the dogs got along really well and we know that Hank was comfortable and happy to stay with Katie when we had to leave. During the stay with Katie, she was very good at communicating with me throughout the trip, and from the picture she sent us we know that Hank was having a great time.
