But it also means there aren't many Rovers she's happy about visiting. Laquitta and James are the exception. In the past I volunteered as a fur baby foster parent and was fur mommy to a beautiful girl "Chula" 🐶 we adopted in 2000 and sadly after 17 years got her wings. My family and I always include our fur babies in everything, at holidays, sometimes it seemed to be more dogs 🐶 of all sizes then people 😊. This takes place at the location where care will be provided and gives us a chance to review your pet’s routine, home setup, safety needs, and comfort level. **Meet and greet exceptions:** * Cats do not require a meet and greet unless there are medications, behavioral concerns, or a complicated home setup * Puppies under five months may be booked without a meet and greet when appropriate * Returning clients may fast-track future bookings Please schedule your meet and greet at least 72 hours before your first requested service so we have enough time to coordinate properly. After the initial meet and greet, you are all set for future bookings. If you move to a new home or apartment, you are welcome to schedule another visit so I can become familiar with the new layout, entry instructions, and pet-care setup. 🚶♀️ Dog walks and drop-ins I organize dog walks and cat drop-ins into efficient daily routes using flexible arrival windows. This helps reduce unnecessary travel time while still allowing me to provide thoughtful, attentive care during every visit. Dog-care windows: * Standard visits generally take place between 11:30 AM and 2:00 PM * Morning visits may begin as early as 8:00 AM * Evening visits may be available for dogs who need additional flexibility **Cat-care windows:** * My preferred cat visit window is between 11:30 AM and 2:00 PM * Visits requiring medication or strict timing will be scheduled around those needs whenever possible Dogs are generally prioritized earlier because of restroom needs, but every pet receives the same level of care, attention, and communication. 🐾 Premium boarding Boarding is a high-touch, in-home service for clients who want a fully hands-off experience while their dog is away. At this time, boarding is available only to dogs who already have an established walking, drop-in, or daycare relationship with me. This helps ensure your dog is already comfortable with me, my home, my routine, and my resident pets before an overnight stay. Dogs boarding with me must be safe around cats and respectful toward my personal dog. Dogs showing aggression, predatory behavior, severe resource guarding, or repeated unsafe behavior toward resident animals may not be eligible for boarding. If a boarding stay must be ended for safety reasons, care may be converted to drop-in visits at your home for feeding, potty breaks, and companionship whenever possible. 🚗 Premium pick-up and drop-off For added convenience, I offer pet transportation as an optional add-on. I can personally pick up or return your dog along my existing daily route, allowing you to leave your dog comfortably at home without coordinating an in-person handoff. This service is priced accordingly to reflect the additional time, travel, and personalized care involved. ⛔ Important booking policies * One complimentary meet and greet is included for new clients * Additional meetings should be booked as a walk or drop-in to cover time and travel * Every pet receiving care must be listed on the Rover booking * Bookings should be confirmed within 48 hours of the meet and greet or the requested time may be released * House-sitting and drop-in bookings follow a seven-day cancellation policy * Availability is not guaranteed until a booking has been formally confirmed by you. through Rover. During each visit, you’ll receive a detailed Rover Card with notes about meals, potty breaks, mood, activities, and anything noteworthy from our time together. If your pet gives me an especially great photo opportunity, I may also send along a favorite edited image. Unless something genuinely requires your attention, I will not interrupt your vacation, work trip, or conference. My goal is to be both your pet’s advocate and your peace of mind while you’re away. 🚨 Safety and stress policy Safety is always my top priority, both for your pet and for me. If a pet displays aggression, extreme fear, severe anxiety, or behavior that makes a visit unsafe, I will still make every reasonable effort to ensure their essential needs are met, including food, water, medication when safely possible, and potty access. However, I may modify or shorten the visit if continuing would increase stress or create a risk of injury. This is never done as punishment. It is a safety decision intended to prevent escalation and protect everyone involved. Any significant concerns will be clearly documented and communicated to you. 🛏️ Crate or confinement requirement for boarding For boarding stays, dogs must be comfortable resting safely in a crate, exercise pen, gated room, or behind another secure household barrier. This is a firm boarding requirement. At night, during meals when separation is needed, and anytime dogs cannot be directly supervised, boarding guests will be safely confined. This gives every animal appropriate space to rest and ensures all pets remain secure while I am sleeping, showering, completing household tasks, or briefly away from home. Crates and gated spaces are always used as calm, neutral resting areas, never as punishment. If your dog normally uses a crate, pen, gated room, or another confinement routine at home, please share the details with me so I can keep their stay as familiar and low-stress as possible. Dogs do not need to love being crated, but they must be able to tolerate safe confinement without panicking, attempting to escape, or injuring themselves. If your dog is not currently comfortable with any form of secure separation, boarding may not be the right fit at this time. In that case, drop-in care in their own home may be a safer and more comfortable alternative. This is non-negotiable.

A quick pandemic story: We had a Chihuahua-Papillon mix named Jacques Cousteau. One night home alone, I saw how much strain he had when eating his crunchy food. He was only a few pounds, and always a bit picky. Today, his food looked more like a Gobstopper. We drove straight to PetSmart, bought the highest quality, softest dog food they had. I remember the first time he tried his new food. He looked at his bowl, looked at me, looked back at his bowl... then, jumped off the chair where he eats, ran and jumped onto my lap, excitedly licking my whole face! Jacques gained a few more pounds in the next month or so, which made him much healthier than before we switched food! I loved seeing him happy, back to his old self again. My goal is to treat you and your pets like members of my family. Because it isn’t always easy to trust a stranger, it is more important than ever to be responsible for the lives we touch. About: I’ve been taking care of Dogs since I was 8 different types of dogs. This allowed me to understand different types of dog behavior. It's been a true passion of mine to take care of dogs. I'm currently free as of now. I have time to house sit just about anytime of the week whether it's a weekend or a weekday at any time scheduled. I have a fenced-in yard that sits around 2 acres which allows bigger or smaller dogs to be able to get their Exercise or space needed to play.

About: Growing up my family always had cats and dogs, so I’ve been around them my whole life. Pets bring so much love and fun into your life, they are a part of the family and they are so important. I will care for your pet like they are my own. I have a 6 year old poodle named Lola who I love with my whole heart. My qualifications- I’ve taken care of older cats for a neighbor, I’ve housesat for friends and family who have pets, and I volunteered at an animal shelter for over a year, where I would clean kennels, take dogs on walks, play with cats, and organize and paint the shelter. About: I have had and taken care of dogs of all age ranges over the years. I used to foster and take in rescues, so I’m used to all types of doggie personalities, sizes and ages. My dogs are like my children, and I will treat yours with the same love and care as my own. I am experienced with smaller and bigger dogs, and am adaptable to whatever their routine and needs may be! I want you to feel comfortable, knowing your babies are being taken care of while you’re at work or away. I usually work Thursday through Saturday, but sometimes that changes. Even if I have something planned on a day off, it’s something I can usually work around a walk or drop in easily. I live in a home where my fur babies have a fenced in area, as well as a free roam area. Im okay walking your pup or letting them out into a fenced area, whichever you prefer. My pups are crate trained so I am happy to make sure yours is safe and secured in theirs before I leave if that’s something that you use for their safety. Each pet is different, so I will look to your instructions for specifics on how to handle your fur baby and make the visit most enjoyable for them.
About: I have 3 dogs small and large. All super well taken care of and walk atleast a mile everyday. I also groom my own pets every month. I make sure that all my pups and me get our daily exercise together by taking walks or runs. I always plan my schedules for the week around my dogs and the time I need with them. I give them so much love and get all the exercise and energy they need in the day out. They are my number 1 priority
About: I have taken care of a multitude of breeds and animals throughout my life. Growing up I had a teacup poodle named Clara Bow. I later had an english bulldog named Lulu. During my years in high school through present time, my family dogs include a Dalmatian, a Cavalier King Charles, and a new addition Toy Poodle. Dog walking and caring has been a task I have enjoyed and attended to since I was only a child. I have experience with pitbull breeds, as well as older dogs who may need medicine administered, diapers, etc. I look forward to taking amazing care of your cute pups! I am a college student so my schedule is different depending on the season. I bounce around between Fort Lauderdale, Gainesville, and Ocala, Florida. I work part time and have availability for walking, sitting, drop ins, etc on most days of the week. I currently own a cat of my own and she will be a year old in October. No matter which location I am in, my home is filled with comfort, cleanliness, and calm. In Fort Lauderdale there are the two dogs I mentioned, my family dalmation and cavalier king charles. My cat comes wherever I go, but when tending to services in Ocala and Gainesville it is just my one cat in the home.

About: Hey! My name is Bethany 😁 I love handing a helping hand when it comes to our best friends. Lived my whole life having pets. Currently i have 2 cats, 1 bunny, 1 betta, and 6 aquarium snails. I studied and graduated as a veterinarian assistant from a votech high school. While In school we worked on dogs twice a week. Taking care of them included grooming, baths, exercise, feeding, giving medications, and sometimes just cuddles. A few days outta the year we would have birds, lizards, bunnies, or even horses. About: I not only grew up around dogs, but I’ve worked in animal shelters and a pet resort, where I was responsible for the needs of dogs and cats. I earned 44 hours of volunteer work at the Humane Society in St. Thomas, U.S.V.I., where I gave tours to potential dog owners. I worked at Pet Suites and LifeLine, where I ensured all pets received their food and/or medicine in a timely manner. I have fostered dogs for Angels Among Us and found homes for all of them. I also take an interest in dog training. I’m not a licensed trainer, but I enjoy teaching dogs manners and tricks. I have availability on Friday-Sunday. I’m very organized and plan my schedule carefully to ensure every pet receives the time, care, and consistency they deserve. I live in a pet-friendly apartment with other dog neighbors. There’s a lot of grass surrounding the complex. While at work, I prefer letting dogs roam unless they need to be in a crate.

About: I always had dogs growing up in my household and have so much love for them & all other animals. I do have a dog myself & have lots of experience with dog behaviors, medications, dog food, etc. I am a 4th year Animal Science student on a pre-veterinary track at UF & I’m a veterinary assistant at an amazing clinic. When I can, on my free time, I also take the time to volunteer at the Humane Society of North Central Florida. I’ve dogsitted many years for friends & family. I do know how expensive doggy daycares & boarding can be so I wanted to sign up and help pawrents that need a more affordable option. When I’m not working, I have lots & lots of time to hang around your pups, give them company, or just simply walk them! If you have any specific requests, I’m more than happy to accommodate however you’d like. I do live in an apartment so I don’t have a yard but I do walk my girl 3 times a day & she can help keep your baby company. I also have a dog crate and can use it for your pup if you’d like. On some days, I take my baby to the dog park for an hour and can have your pup tag along if you feel comfortable with that.
