Between the long drive here from Chicago and the different settings on the way our somewhat clingy dog was even more clingy and nervous than usual. She was at our side constantly, but we needed to find a sitter for a few hours/days to allow us to golf, fish, etc. without the dog at our side. Tho we were nervous about leaving Bella with a stranger in a new place, it all worked out beautifully. Jody's house was well set up for pets and her own dogs were very friendly. About: I’ve always been an animal lover. I raised two dogs from puppyhood. Lucy lived to 18, and my current pup, Porscha, is now 14. I also have a 15 year old cat, AppleJack, I’ve had since she was a kitten. So I know what it’s like to care for pets at every stage of life, from playful zoomies to slower senior strolls. I started pet sitting because I wasn’t looking to commit to another full time pet, but I still wanted to spend my days caring for animals and helping fellow pet parents. My husband and I both work remotely, so someone’s almost always home for companionship and supervision. In your home, I’m mindful of your space and your pet’s habits. I follow instructions closely, whether that’s meal times, meds, or favorite toys, and I always keep things tidy and secure. You’ll get regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your fur baby is in caring, capable hands.
