About: I've been looking after dogs and cats for almost everyone I know since I was twelve and I've wanted to be a veterinarian since I was very young. Currently, I'm saving for vet school, but before finding Rover I worked in veterinary offices and boarding kennels where I was responsible for everything from filing medical records and booking appointments to group enrichment and food and medication administration (including subcutaneous fluids). I have also trained dogs professionally (mostly puppies, but some older dogs as well) and fostered for the county shelter. These experiences have made me comfortable with medical and behavioral challenges with animals of any size and I am confident in my ability to care for your fur babies as well as I do mine. Lastly, dietary restrictions excluded of course, don't forget the treats and toys! I am very big on enrichment and positive reinforcement and I'm yet to meet an animal who didn't want a little spoiling. I'm excited to meet you and your pets and hope to foster a long and trusting relationship with both. I am home almost every day that I am not out on Rover jobs. This allows me the flexibility to work with multiple pet families and meet everyone's needs. As all pets are different, I am happy to discuss care plans with pet parents to make sure I can provide what is both needed and wanted, but my schedule is flexible enough to accommodate the vast majority of requests. I do request at least 4 hours notice (including service confirmation) for walks, 2 days notice for drop ins, and a week's notice for house sitting. This is to ensure that I can meet the needs of all clients adequately as well as schedule my non-pet care obligations appropriately. If you are in need of services on shorter notice than the above, I will do my best to accomodate but services will be subject to a 40% upcharge as a rush fee. I am active on Rover throughout the day from about 9am to 8pm (unless I am actively with client animals in which case I remain accessible to said client minus times I am indisposed). I am happy to walk/drop-in on pets several times a day. Administering food and medication during these times is something I am completely comfortable with as I do so for my own animals regularly. Scooping litter boxes is also well within my wheelhouse (though my cat is particularly picky and has a self-scooping one for his comfort). I am used to active/playful dogs and cats as I have one of each myself and I am happy to take some long walks and/or get a good play session going depending on what is most appropriate for the animals in my care. With permission (and the appropriate safety gear) I am also happy to take dogs to their local dog park for socialization and peer play.

Between the long drive here from Chicago and the different settings on the way our somewhat clingy dog was even more clingy and nervous than usual. She was at our side constantly, but we needed to find a sitter for a few hours/days to allow us to golf, fish, etc. without the dog at our side. Tho we were nervous about leaving Bella with a stranger in a new place, it all worked out beautifully. Jody's house was well set up for pets and her own dogs were very friendly. About: Hi, I’m a lifelong pet lover with years of experience caring for dogs of all sizes and cats, too! I’ve been pet sitting for 7 years. I am certified in Cat and Dog First Aid through the American Red Cross, which demonstrates my preparedness to handle pet emergencies. This includes CPR for dogs and cats, wound care, and behavioral signs. I am skilled in administering medications, including insulin. I treat every pet like family. You can expect lots of love, playtime, and dependable care while you’re away! The summer for my industry is slow and pet sitting with rover would be fun and also fill my weekly schedule. For Overnight house sitting, it starts at 6pm and ends at 9am. For Boarding care, I do not have any pets and I have a back yard to play around in! Feel free to request, even if it’s last minute or same day! I treat every pet with respect when I first meet them. I always make sure to read their body language and let them get to know me first. “We had a great experience with Gregory. He was friendly and showed us where Tulum would be staying, which helped us feel comfortable leaving him there. He was also very communicative throughout the stay and sent us pictures, which we really appreciated. Tulum is shy with strangers, but he looked happy and comfortable, especially with a toy he borrowed during his stay. Right before pickup, Tulum got a tiny cut from a bush, and the sitter was very straightforward about it and told us immediately when we arrived. It looked minor and Tulum seemed totally fine, and we really appreciated his honesty. Overall, we felt Gregory was attentive and thoughtful, we would definitely use him again.”
“I went out of town for about 12 days and used Rover for the first time to board my 2 cats since it was too long to leave them alone. I found Kristi to be a very understanding person despite some mishaps with the dropoff timing and that one of the cats peed on the bed 2 days after the dropoff, likely due to being scared of the new surroundings. Kristi did a great job with adapting to difficulties with the cats like putting gates on the bed. I picked up my cats and they were in great condition. I would definitely board my cats with Kristi again.”
