About: I've been looking after dogs and cats for almost everyone I know since I was twelve and I've wanted to be a veterinarian since I was very young. Currently, I'm saving for vet school, but before finding Rover I worked in veterinary offices and boarding kennels where I was responsible for everything from filing medical records and booking appointments to group enrichment and food and medication administration (including subcutaneous fluids). I have also trained dogs professionally (mostly puppies, but some older dogs as well) and fostered for the county shelter. These experiences have made me comfortable with medical and behavioral challenges with animals of any size and I am confident in my ability to care for your fur babies as well as I do mine. Lastly, dietary restrictions excluded of course, don't forget the treats and toys! I am very big on enrichment and positive reinforcement and I'm yet to meet an animal who didn't want a little spoiling. I'm excited to meet you and your pets and hope to foster a long and trusting relationship with both. I am home almost every day that I am not out on Rover jobs. This allows me the flexibility to work with multiple pet families and meet everyone's needs. As all pets are different, I am happy to discuss care plans with pet parents to make sure I can provide what is both needed and wanted, but my schedule is flexible enough to accommodate the vast majority of requests. I do request at least 4 hours notice (including service confirmation) for walks, 2 days notice for drop ins, and a week's notice for house sitting. This is to ensure that I can meet the needs of all clients adequately as well as schedule my non-pet care obligations appropriately. If you are in need of services on shorter notice than the above, I will do my best to accomodate but services will be subject to a 40% upcharge as a rush fee. I am active on Rover throughout the day from about 9am to 8pm (unless I am actively with client animals in which case I remain accessible to said client minus times I am indisposed). I am happy to walk/drop-in on pets several times a day. Administering food and medication during these times is something I am completely comfortable with as I do so for my own animals regularly. Scooping litter boxes is also well within my wheelhouse (though my cat is particularly picky and has a self-scooping one for his comfort). I am used to active/playful dogs and cats as I have one of each myself and I am happy to take some long walks and/or get a good play session going depending on what is most appropriate for the animals in my care. With permission (and the appropriate safety gear) I am also happy to take dogs to their local dog park for socialization and peer play.

About: My 1st Dog, a German Shepard, Bert was born 2 weeks after I was, a puppy of my parents litter and had grew up with him till I was 13 yrs old. I always wanted to be a vet and by the time I was 5 years old had my own Rabbits and Hamsters. Even though I work a full-time job Monday through Friday (8am-5pm) I live five minutes away from my workplace, which allows me to easily check in on my lunch breaks to manage feeding times and give potty breaks throughout the day. In the evenings and all weekend long I am home full time to hang out, play in the yard with Hazel and cuddle. For daycare I’m available weekends for full daycare.(Note: because of my Monday-Friday work hours, weekday daycare availability is limited but please reach out to see if we can make your schedule work!) I have a true passion for animals; I believe it is my calling in life. I truly love and enjoy taking care of them because they are more than just pets, they are family. About: My family didn’t get our first dog until I was 9, but I spent the first 9 years of my life helping my parents pet sit for friends and family. I grew up alongside a male yellow lab for 13 years. Since then, my family has loved our 10 year old, female, black lab mix.
