About: Rei and I have taken care of, and been around a variety of cats all our lives, whether it be an adult or a kitten. Ever since I was a child, I would feed any cat I would see on the street and check up on them for as long as I could. We have one cat thats about a year and a half that I rescued at a park. Recently, we adopted a kitten from the shelter that was unfortunately underweight and we had to spend days trying to get her to eat and making all sorts of meals from scratch for her. Unfortunately, she was admitted into the hospital and did not make it even with the most extreme medical care. From then on we decided to be more proactive when It comes to animals in need and will do everything in our power to take care of our furry friends.

Our usually shy, anxious kitty Daisy warmed up to her immediately which is incredibly unusual, but Jaclyn clearly has an innate ability to make pets feel safe, secure and loved in her presence. Her communication is excellent- she sent multiple photos, videos and updates with every drop in and went above and beyond to take care of not just Daisy, but also a group of outside community cats that we feed who *also* took to her right away. When we got home from our trip, our kitty was calm, content and like we’d never left (whereas in the past when others have fed her in our absence she would be anxious and hide for a couple of hours until she re-acclimated). Jaclyn is kind, calm, observant, caring, thorough and communicative. I now can’t imagine ever asking anyone else but Jacky to take care of Daisy when we’re away, and am so grateful to have found her. I can’t stress how much she loves all animals, and it translates in her work when she cares for them. I feel so comfortable with her in our home and can’t wait to have her back. About: I’ve been around and cared for animals for most of my life. In high school, I was part of a veterinary magnet program where I earned my CVA certification and got about two years of hands-on experience working as a vet tech. I spent around three years working in dog training as well. I’ve fostered both dogs and cats, which gave me experience helping animals with different personalities and needs adjust and feel comfortable. About: I have had pets in my home my whole life until my dog recently passed away. I was reluctant of letting in another because I didn’t want to go through the grief all over again. About: I've loved dogs since I was a kid and always tried to learn the most I could about their cute faces. I used to volunteer with animal rescue groups in high school and am very comfortable around pets. To me, working with Rover is a great way to have animals in my life again as a college student. I'm currently a student at FIU as an Accounting major but I have plenty of free time to care for your sweet little fur baby. About: I’ve taken care of friend’s and family’s pets for years when they’re away on vacation/travels. I pay attention to detail, meaning that I won’t just feed them and meet their basic needs; I will also share quality time with them so that they don’t feel alone, bored, or anxious while you’re gone. I’m a teacher on sabbatical, so my availability is pretty flexible nowadays. I’m very active and enjoy a good long walk, but I’m also very calm and focused. Your pet will feel like they have a companion while also having their needs met. I can easily follow directions in terms of what your pet needs to be safe in their home.
